This website is dedicated to a project in Gardendale, Texas.

The project is Kaiti's long-term study of Texas Horned Lizards
(aka Phrynosoma cornutum, Horned Toads and Horny Toads).

Hi! My name is Kaiti!

Meet the crew from Left to Right:

Tony, Wendy, Karen, Kaiti & George (who's taking the picture).

This is Jules. She (?) is a small Texas horned lizard, probably a yearling hatched last summer (Summer 2004). She can be identified by the big black spot on her chin.

This is "little" - the smallest horned lizard we have found. Little is a juvenile probably hatched very late last fall (October, 2004?). We hope some day to rename this one "big"!

Just Jules running around on the ground.

Thanks to Rick Lambeth for letting us enjoy his property & search for lizards & Box Turtles every week. We also really like the pond he built for leopard frogs.

The End!
