For our Silver Award, we decided to focus on eye awareness. With this topic, we hoped to raise the awareness of eye issues, and collect eyeglasses for the Lions Club. This project started with the Lions Club call for the donation of children's eyeglasses two years ago. After that, our troop decided to help them and try to make a difference for children who need eyeglasses in developing nations, but can't recieve them. Hopefully, the children's eyeglasses collected at our eye awareness event will help better the lives of needy children all over the world. |
