Brittney, created a travel book called Journey to Savannah for her Silver Award Project. She filled the booklet with information about the many fun activities and beautiful sights of the city, including pamplets that she collected while in Savannah on our troop trip in July 1999. She gave examples of fundraising ideas, budgets, tips about using SafetyWise before and during travel, instructions on filing paperwork to have the trip approved by Council, and many other helpful hints and ideas for other troops that consider taking their own trip to The Birthplace and beautiful Historic Savannah. Brittney's book was donated to the Audubon Council library.

In order to earn the Silver Award, a Cadette Girl Scout must first fulfill many requirements before the project itself can be started. Brittney earned the Cadette Leadership Award, Cadette Challenge Pin, Dreams to Reality Patch, Desktop Publishing, Photography and Visual Arts Interest Patches. She earned her leadership hours by assisting in Girl Scout recruitment and registration, served on the Audubon Council Green and Blue Drill Team, Marydale Wrangler Program and at Ascension Service Unit 631 events. She was a volunteer for the United Way Campaign, Make a Difference Day organization and Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
