Sydney and Kathryn designed the event for 100 girls and adults who participated in workshops where girls could have their hair and nails done, learn about skin care and make up, take a fitness class, create a one of a kind purse, participate in a fashion show, visit the "couch" to discuss feelings and learn about respecting themselves and others. After the workshops, the attendees rolled out their sleeping bags, enjoyed snacks, popcorn and a movie, "Troop Beverly Hills." Round about midnight everyone was ready for lights out.
Sydney & Kathryn would like to thank project mentor Mrs. Nancy, 340 troop members, Cadette Troop 490, and First United Methodist Church, the troops and leaders that attended, and everyone who helped to make the lock in a success.
