Our troop has been involved in a great service project! We have adopted a group of Army soliders. We aren't sure where they are, but we have been sending them boxes of goodies since March, 2003. We sent them over about 35 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and they were a huge hit (Tagalongs were their favorites!). We've sent books, non-perishable food, baseball caps, electronic games, koolaid, coffee, and batteries too! The girls have been really creative with some of the things that they have sent - it's been alot of fun seeing what they bring in at each meeting.
They have sent us some email in return and the girls really enjoyed hearing from them. They have sent us some letters too - which we finally received!!
