October 2000

Nuts, Candy & Calendar Sales - We are currently working on this fundraiser. The girls have set their goals and are working hard to achieve them. We will give you an update just as soon as this sale is over.

February 2000

Cookie Sales - Our girls worked together on troop goals and also made individual goals. I must say, our troop did an incredible job for first year Brownies! All these sales, and without boothing. Yeah Troop 137!! 11 girls participated in cookie sales.

The money our troop earned from cookie sales allowed us to do many wonderful things.

Our girls decided they would like to spend $5.00 each on a new toy for less fortunate children. This was such a neat field trip to
K. B. Toys. The girls loved being able to choose a gift for a child that may not have any toys to play with.

We planned a tree planting event for Sing Lum Elementary School. We had a total of 8 troops that each donated a tree. Over 30 girls and many adults helped plant the trees at this event.

We were able to pay for each girl to attend day camp at Camp Okihi. This is always a fun event for the girls.

Our troop was also able to attend a very special Halee Rose Tea Party. It was a very fun party and the girls were able to earn their Manners Try-it patch too. Of course, this was a big hit with our girls!

October 1999

Nuts, Candy and Calendar Sales - This was our first attempt at fundraising and the girls loved it. They enjoyed planning and learning sales etiquette. 8 girls participated in the nuts, candy and calendar sales.

Look what we did with the money we earned:

The girls opted for a party at Chuck E. Cheese's. We all had a lot of fun and we made this a family event.

We also used some of our money to make S.W.A.P.'s for Camp Okihi. We love making and trading S.W.A.P.'s!

Miscellaneous troop supplies were also purchased with the money we earned.
