Sign of the Star (this sign will be earned by the entire troop in 2003-04)

Juliette Low spoke about “little stars that guide us.”  You can be your own “star” by improving your skills and talents, feeling good about what you have achieved in your life and in Girl Scouts so far, and opening your heart and mind to new activities and experiences.  You have the potential to shine brightly as you develop confidence, skills, and talents in your own unique way.

Requirement 2:  Boost your self-esteem (how you feel about yourself).  Do at least four activities from the following badges:

Requirement 3: Show off your talents.  Display or demonstrate one of your talents to your troop, group, or others

Requirement 4: Complete two activities from the “It’s Great to Be a Girl” chapter in the handbook.

Requirement 5:  Complete an activity from one of the following resources:

  • GirlSports
  • Issues for Girl Scouts: Girls Are Great for Junior Girl Scouts
  • “Just For Girls” section of Girls Scouts of the USA web site (www.girlscouts.org/girls).
  • Participate in a council event
