Microsoft has announced a new image format 'Windows Media Photo' (WMP) which appears to be the killer for standards like JPEG and PNG.

To be Vista-capable, a machine needs at least an 800MHz processor, 512MB of memory and a graphics card that can run DirectX 9 graphics. To carry the Premium Ready designation, a PC must have a 1GHz processor, 1GB of main memory, 128MB of memory and a graphics card that supports Vista?s new graphics-driver model.

Well the long awaited upgrade to Windows media player is finally done. Version 11 which is in beta 2 was released for public preview a few days back. The new UI is a revolution in its beauty & simplicity camouflaging most of the sophistication.

The meadia library is looking ever better with features like folder tracking, integrated live search, editable playlists and many more.
