Take Route 17 north (right) to Route 651 just North of Goldvein Left on 651 to last entrance for Phelps Wildlife Management area on left there will be a Barn and the entrance is a sharp left turn. From Washington DC and I 66 Take I 66 West to Route 29 South (Gainesville) Take Route 29 South to the caution light at Remington. Turn left on 651. Follow 651 thru town across RR tracks where it makes a right turn follow 651 to the first entrance for Phelps Wildlife Management Area on the right. The entrance is just after you cross a large bridge. From Richmond and I 95 South: Take I 95 North to Route 17 exit just north of Fredricksburg. Take Route 17 north (right) to Route 651 just North of Goldvein Left on 651 to last entrance for Phelps Wildlife Management area on left there will be a Barn and the entrance is a sharp left turn. From the South Culpeper, Charlottesville Take Route 29 North to the caution light at Remington.
