Mrs. Flawless By: Katelyn Conroy As Alli Selwalf walked down to the pool deck of the cruiseship she nervously froze in her tracks. The men strumming their ukeleles and pounding on their steel drums were making catcalls at her desirable body. She took a deep breath and calmly reminded herself that they weren't making fun of her and that she really was the girl every man dreamed of. Pulling herself together she smiled at the men and glided her way down the marble steps and into the shimmering pool on the leir deck. She tossed and twirled her chestnut locks on her perfectly manicured finger, careful not to get her hair wet. Soon she was out of the pool and gracefully laying on a poolchair where she shone brighter than the midday sun. She carefully adjusted her sunglasses and delicately caressed sunscreen into her tanned skin, wincing when she rubbed too hard on her face. The dangerous surgeries from years ago had left her with permanently severed nerves in her face that would sporadically give off painful signals. Alli reached into her purse and popped two prescription steroids to relax her muscles. The pain dying down, Alli settled herself back into her poolchair and gave a sigh of relief. She felt that the momentary aching was well worth the end result. Her new body had not only gotten her that envious anchoring positon on a national news station, but had helped her get her drop dead gorgeous husband Chris Selwalf. Alli and Chris were on their honeymoon in the Bahamas. Chris thought the warm beaches would be beneficial to Alli just before she started her intense new filming schedule. Nowadays, Chris was always looking out for Alli's best interest. Alli loved him for it, and hated him for it. She couldn't understand how he could totally forget the way he treated her before and love her so passionately now. Alli had grown up just down the street from Chris, and being the fat bucktoothed kid, was always at the butt of his jokes. Chris, being the most popular kid in the school, made sure that every kid got his enjoyment off of Alli's misfortune. Tramautized and scarred from her childhood, Alli turned to books and computers as her only companions. She spent every moment of her time gaining enough brains to one day repay Chris for all he and his minions had done to her. At 35 years old, Alli had made enough money producing news broadcasts to create herself the body she had always wanted. She had endured liposuctions, tummy tucks, breast enlargements, multiple jaw surgeries, a nose job, and every other surgery she could slap down money for. Of course Chris would never know all that though, if Chris would ever find out what she really was, he'd leave her in a heartbeat. Alli had gone through all too many surgeries and name changes to make sure that no one would ever recognize her as the ugly duckling she grew up as. As Alli lay by the pool, Chris came up to her with a bubbly hello and smiled ignorantly at his beautiful bride. Alli reminisced back to their childhood days and wondered if he would ever recognize her for what she truly was on the inside. It didn't matter to her, she had gotten her revenge. The boy who once despised her, was now married to the boy once nicknamed "Albert the Elephant" by Chris and Alli's fellow students at the Charlestown Academy for Boys. Alli smiled, she loved him for his naivety. Alli kissed Chris's cheek and dove into the water in the peak of her revenge.
