GSN lets contest slip away in sixth inning,
drops 10th straight game |
(AP) - "The Kids" hoped to turn things around in game two against Shenango
Valley Baptist and pick up a much-needed victory. GSN played with a
little more skill, but in the end still found themselves on the outside
looking in.
Hoping to pick up their first home win since May 22nd, Gentle
Shepherd came out quickly to score five runs in the first. Shenango
Valley Baptist—4-21 finishers just a year ago—would
battle back to take a 9-7 lead after five innings, however. Four runs
in the bottom of the sixth would round out the scoring and ballgame—dropping
"The Kids" to 1-9 at home and 3-15 on the season.
