Bats let GSN down again in
11-1 loss |
(AP) - After ending game one against New Life Baptist by going down in order
over the final three innings, it seemed as though things at the plate could
only get better for GSN. Instead, the offensive situation only got
worse.
Gentle Shepherd would begin the nightcap by going down 1-2-3 over
the first three innings. After the batter leading off the fourth
inning failed to get aboard, "The Kids" had set a team record in seeing 19
consecutive hitters at the plate fail to reach base. GSN's lone
highlight came when Jake Steiner picked up another RBI on a single that
scored Bill Steiner. The game proved to be yet another typical end to
a Gentle Shepherd match-up—with the offense letting down
a defense that was able to keep the opposition "in check" for most of the
night. |
