BICYCLE CASINO
LEGENDS OF POKER
The famous Bicycle Casino in downtown Los Angeles, California is the site of
the first TRUE poker tournament of the season for the World Poker Tour.
Last year, only 89 players coughed up the $5,000 entry to compete in this
tournament. But, thanks to the publicity the WPT has given it, a whopping
309 poker players - including quite a few celebrities, since this IS Hollywood -
coughed up the entry fee. Through three days of grueling competition, six
have emerged to compete in the Final Table for their share of the $1,545,000
prize pool...and the almost-$600,000 First Place prize!
The six left are quite the eclectic group. Take a look for yourselves:

"table stakes"; if one player has less chip than another, the

T.J.'s bet is lowered to match Phil's all-in bet. T.J. will still be

If you lose a hand
while "all-in", you're out of the tournament. Almost all
tournaments divide the money put in by all the players and divide them among
those who place highest. The higher the placing, the bigger percentage
of the pool is given. In this case, Phil receives 3.5% of the over
$1.5 million in the pool. The winner gets 37.5%, an over $520,000
difference. |
