Gnomes and gladiators dominate
the scenes from last time. Previously, one of the players was voted
the least liked again. This time, though, said player, in this case,
Elavia, was offered a buyout: guaranteed cash. Elavia "takes some
legal advice" and takes the money, but is she just taking the money
and running now to backstab the team later? We're down to seven, so get
your pen and your casebook and start piecing the puzzle, because game is
on.
THE MOLE: THE NEXT BETRAYAL - Byte 8
Day 25: Lucca, Italy
A clue to the next assignment: "What is missing from this picture?
With love, the Mole" If they discover the meaning, it could help them
win the next game.
ASSIGNMENT 1: Relative Disguise - up to $35,000
Family members are here to see the players. If they win the game, they
will get to see said loved one (and add $5000 cash to the pot for each one
successful). For example, Katie must choose someone to pick out
their loved one (Heather) in a crowded square. They have two minutes to do
so.
Katie chooses Heather to find Katie's father: Heather can't see a
thing without her glasses. She can't find him, so no money.
Dorothy chooses Heather to find Dorothy's mother: Heahter finds a few
Asian women, but Dorothy didn't go into detail, so they fail, too.
Bribs chooses Darwin to find Bribs' mother: Darwin finds two possibles and
chooses one. Bingo!
Bill chooses Darwin to find Bill's brother: He's got one pinpointed.
Another good one. "But where the hell is Shirley?"
Al chooses Bribs to find Al's sister: Bribs wishes he can see a few eyes.
No good. Which stirs up a little bit of hostility when he can only see the
back of her head.
Darwin chooses Bribs to look for his wife: "The one with the
handbag..." is his wife.
Heather chooses Bribs to look for Nathan aka Heather's boyfriend from
Texas: Bribs finds a few. You can only choose one, so he nervously chooses
the one with the "piercing blue eyes." Another good one, as the
team wins $20,000. The real winner may be Heather, though, as, that
evening, Nathan proposed to her. She said yes... I think... she was crying
a bit too much.
WIN - $20,000 added ($286,000 total)
Day 26: Still in Lucca.
ASSIGNMENT 2 - Relative Bungee - $70,000.
A second chance for those who lost in the last game. It's all in one
question: "Will you bungee jump?"
Heather jumps. Nathan thought she would: WIN.
Darwin jumps. Lindsay thought he would: WIN.
Al jumps. Janine says yes. WIN.
Bill jumps. Blair says yes. WIN.
Bribs jumps. Terri says yes. WIN.
Dorothy does not jump. Kathy says yes. LOSS.
Katie jumps. Ron says yes. WIN.
WIN - $60,000 added ($346,000 total)

8) Did the Mole receive a new journal?
9) How long has the Mole been together with their significant other?

EXECUTION: Another tie, so the executed one is the longest one to answer
the questions.
Bill - GREEN
Dorothy - GREEN
Darwin - GREEN
Bribs - GREEN
Three remaining.
Al - GREEN
Katie - RED
Katie is the Mole's seventh victim. Closing thoughts: everyone wishes that
she made it just one more round. Katie can't complain at all, with her dad
on hand.
