Previously, the game moved from Switzerland to Italy. The pot took a big jump to as high as $171,000 after a big $50,000 brain teaser win -- mostly with the help of Dorothy -- who immediately became suspect after getting two last-second answers.  Dorothy, Bill, and Rob were exempt -- leaving only 7 players who could go. Unfortunately, the game ended for Patrick, as he ripped out a page from a journal as retribution? Anger? Well, it's not because he's the Mole. But who is? And who will the Mole take out next? Get out a pencil and your case because things are getting really tense, and game is on....

THE MOLE: THE NEXT BETRAYAL - Byte 5

Day 14: Venice, Italy

ASSIGNMENT 1: Think or Sink - $20,000

The three runners, armed, with only a cellphone and a map are asked to find answers to questions about Vicenza's history. Only one runner to a question. Each answer will be a clue to the fourth answer. Each of the runners must relay their answers to Katie, who will transfer them to a magnet board. There is no clock on this game, but there ARE four swimmers who will tread water for as long as possible. Every five minutes, there will be weights added to the swimmers, and when the swimmers go under, then it's game over.

1) Find the name of the Statue. (Giacomo Zanella) Three spellings later, Katie gets it right.

While Rob gets the question, Bill the swimmer takes a dive.

2) Find the number on the Arch. Dorothy gets lost, so Katie tried to guess on her own. Meanwhile, Darwin gets a bit too heavy for the pool and takes a tumble. Meanwhile, Katie gets the answer.

3) Which famous author's tomb lies just outside Tempo St. Corono.

Bribs is the team's only hope. Elavia better move fast. She does with a little help (Luigi Diporti). Incorrect. Bribs tries a different spelling to nail third question. If Katie can now nail the two lovers of Vicenza, Romeo e Giulietta, then the teams earn another $20,000. Final time, 1 hour, 13 minutes. Bribs sinks as Katie forgets to add a G from the three answers given previously.

LOSS: $0 added  ($166,000 total)

Al thinks Darwin's trying to run the show. Darwin thought that he and Al could do the talking thing to come to a consensus. They eventually kiss and make up.

Day 15: A message from the Mole.

David or defeat, it's your call.

All the G's are missing. Al, Myra, and Heather are summoned to their next game.

ASSIGNMENT 2: Get the Key - $40,000

The three are imprisoned in a cell, in which the means to escape it are either in or around the cell. The three must work to break the lock in three hours in order to take part in a teleconference with their loved ones at home. The prize: $40,000 added to the bank.

So the team decides to make a sling to break the light holding the key. Throwing stuff at their cells, they eventually put together a
slingshot and decide that the hardest thing to do is hit the light. Putting blankets on the ground will maximize their range in getting the key. BUT, in the middle, they realize that the slingshot is only a prop. Using their smarts, they get the key in time to join their group.

WAIT. Anderson has an offer for Heather. The money's guaranteed, but if Heather, who was the first to unlock, wants to walk out with Anderson right now, then she will earn an exemption. Heather will not take it.

WIN: $40,000 added ($206,000 total).

So the remaining ten players get a teleconference with their loved ones. Afterwards, Bribs forms a coalition with Darwin. The two can come to a trust, but can that trust survive the execution?
