Previously, we reacquainted
ourselves with the fourteen players in the Castle Tarasp in Scoul,
Switzerland. A swing for life, an embarrassing train ride, a devious black
jack game, and a not-so-sweet dessert later, two players, Bob and Ali, are
left in the dust. Twelve players are left. Who'll be the Mole's next
victim, and what, if anything, will we learn about the Mole this time? Get
out a pencil and your case book and keep track of the clues, because game
is on....
BYTE 3:
Day 8: Saint Moritz, Switzerland
Breakfast reveals a clue; a journal with no number. Al picks it up and
immediately says "Secrets of the Mole." It was the Mole's
journal, chronicling the Mole's first two rounds, including Bob and Ali,
the Mole's two victims, as well as what to do in this round.
Anderson asks for a number between one and eleven. The team chooses four,
and they all rotate their journals four journals to the left. These are
their NEW journals. Much to the dismay of the players. Patrick
feels like he opened up his soul to Katie.
ASSIGNMENT 1: NEUTRALIZER (Myra)
Myra has an hour to find and retrieve a green envelope using only photos
given by Anderson. In little time, she is hot on the trail,
successfully finding the green envelope, opening it up, and finding a
green card that says "Neutralizer." Once neutralized, a
player cannot receive any exemptions from the game. Once activated,
$10,000 will be added to the pot. Myra uses the card on Dorothy,
what Lisa wanted.
WIN: $10,000 added ($66,000 total)
Katie talks about what she wrote in her journal about Myra, her new
journal owner, mainly about her use of the B-word. Elavia doesn't
mind one way or another. In fact, she encourages Katie to read hers,
which now belongs to Dorothy. Bill has Heather's journal. At any
given moment, he may think that someone else is the Mole. In other
breaking news, water is wet. Within one of these circles, the Mole
is trying to break the team apart from the inside out. Lisa doesn't think
that Dorothy is the Mole. ALSO Lisa has a coalition with two different
people: Darwin and Dorothy. Neither knows of the other's plans.
Day 9: Still in St. Moritz.
ASSIGNMENT 2: LITTLE JOHN/JANE
Simple game (so says Anderson). Get across a wood bridge.
Successfully do so, and $5,000 for each player is added; touch the water,
and game over. One catch, though. You have to fight "Little
John" and "Little Jane." Think Robin Hood, folks.
Also think American Gladiators, because it's Jousting time! Al is chosen
to decide who battles whom. If they win, they have a second chance
to fight Al - for an exemption.
Lisa - Jane: WIN
Patrick - John: LOSS
Heather - Jane: LOSS
Bill - Jane: WIN
Dorothy - John: LOSS (but since she's neutralized, she's a sacrifice)
Rob - Jane: LOSS
Myra - Jane: WIN (Head shot)
Bribs - Jane: WIN
Elavia - Jane: LOSS
Darwin - Jane: LOSS
Katie - John: LOSS
In the second chance, Bill beats Lisa, Myra, and Bribs to earn a battle
with Al for an exemption. BOTH fall in the water. Round 2!
This time, Al makes short work of Bill and earns an exception. The
real loser here, though, is Anderson, who takes a bit of a swim...
which wasn't an option!
WIN: $25,000 added ($91,000 total).
A provision of Al's exemption: A second exemption. But for
who? Al can't say until the dinner before the next execution.
The Mole's journal said "Make 'em beg." Poor poor Al has a
notch against him. All calls it a curse, citing that this is a
psychological game. Money and glory are all thought of trying to win
Al over. Meanwhile, the group is becoming closer, revealing personal
secrets. Any of this information may end up on the Mole Quiz. Al's
greatest fear is lack of love. Lisa's greatest fear is failure. The
players use their time to plot strategies and choose up sides. The
greatest one is between Al, and Myra... or is it another plot to get into
his exemption?
Dinner: It's time for Al to protect another player. Myra tries to
pawn it off on the weaker player. Darwin sees it as a crap shoot.
Bill wants to earn his exemption by making nobility. So he doesn't get it.
Dorothy can't get one. Myra, Katie, and Heather are the choices. The
exemption goes to... Katie. This was very thought out and the
reasons were all there. He didn't mind sharing them. So Katie may NOT be
the Mole. The pot ends this round @ $91,000
THE QUIZ:
1) During Little John/Jane, whom did the Mole face?
2) Does the Mole has a tattoo?
3) What is the Mole's greatest fear?
4) What is the Mole's new journal number?
5) What is the Mole's zodiac sign?
6) How many times did the mole battle in the John?
7) What color booties were the Mole wearing during Little John/Jane?
8) The Mole went swimming in which hotel?
9) What is the Mole's marital status?
10) WHO IS THE MOLE?
EXECUTION: Remember, Al and Katie both have exemptions. The
player who scores the most incorrectly leaves the game. Tonight
brings a tie, so the slowest player will be executed.
Heather - GREEN
Patrick - GREEN
Darwin - GREEN
Dorothy - GREEN
Lisa - RED
Lisa is the Mole's third victim (?). Everyone notes her sense of
intelligence and detail. Lisa wishes everyone else good luck.
