Heather Campbell, a PR rep
from Texas. Bill McDaniel, a retiree from Washington. Dorothy Hui, a
musician from New York. One of these players is the winner. One is the
loser. One is the Mole. At recap's end, you will know the answers.
THE MOLE: THE NEXT BETRAYAL - Byte 13
Previously, the three remaining players have taken the Final Quiz. They
are qaiting behind three doors to find out which one is the winner, which
is the loser, and which is the Mole. You will see who. Additionally,
you'll see how the Mole sabotaged the games, and all of the secret clues.
First, we will reunite the 11 players to prognosticate who is who.
Question: Who is the winner and who is the Mole?
Bob: Dorothy, Bill
Ali: Dorothy, Heather
Lisa: Heather, Dorothy
Patrick: Bill, Dorothy
Rob: Dorothy, Bill
Myra: Heather, Dorothy
El: Dorothy, Heather
Kati: Dorothy, Heather
Darwin: Heather, Dorothy
Bribs: Heather, Bill
Al: Bill, Heather.
So majority thinks that Heather wins. But the winner has the key that will
open his or her door first. Here we go. The winner of $636,000 is...
DOROTHY! Congratulations around.
Now that that's out of the way, it's time to find out who is the Mole.
Reveal yourself.
It's BILL. But we learn that Heather caught on to the Mole, but gave him
to Dorothy. How?
HOW HEATHER LOST: Heather formed a coalition with Katie and Dorothy,
we know. But when Katie was executed, she had no choice but to form a
coalition with her, due to her suspicions. What Heather didn't know is
that Dorothy thought that Heather was the Mole, so she can get information
while swaying away from Bill. In this way, they managed to eliminate Bribs
and Al, both apart and together, by splitting their votes. While Heather
was weary, Dorothy was focused. But through it all, Heather played with
heart and integrity. We also learn that she lost by one question.
HOW DOROTHY WON: She's smart and she played to win. Well, to elaborate,
she seemed to pick answers out of thin air, arousing suspicions in the
other players. What she had in brains, though, she lacked in brawn, again,
causing suspicions. Also, Dorothy was more of a Mole than the Mole was at
time. However, Darwin gave her that idea. Ali, Patrick, Katie, and Bribs
were all fooled. However, all the intelligence and strategy would be for
naught without luck, as it is revealed that if Elavia didn't take the
bribe early on, Dorothy would've been executed.
Darwin, the King of Coalitions, is profiled for gaining information
through that gambit.
HOW BILL rrrrrRRRRRIGGED THE GAMES: He sabotaged by being drafted as
the leader. Bill went out of his way to pick players unsuitable for each
game. First Rob, then Al. However, the players win their games. Next
round, Bill refused to wear a diaper and was distracted in a bar, stalling
them for 30 minutes in episode 2. Also, the trick in that episode was
Bill's idea. In episode 5, Bill was the first to drop out in Think or
Sink. Everyone thought that he was trying to raise suspicion. In episode
6, Bill bought Darwin contraband ice cream. In episode 7, Bill dropped his
gnome on purpose. In episode 9, Bill was instructed to slow down the game
by taking apart the car, then diverting attention from the lock. Also,
Bill ended the all-night ball game. In episode 10, Bill tried to sabotage
the Buy or Sell game. Last week, he intentionally answered his Three
Questions wrong.
NOW, THE CLUES.
Episode 1: In each nighttime scene, there is a black sky. Except one; the
sky was digitally enhanced to show Pisces, Bill's sign.
Episode 2: Again, the Pisces sign, right before Execution.
Episode 3: "Schmoozing the ladies" in the Mole's Journal.
Immediately rule out the ladies.
Episode 4: The telegram mentioned in the Canoe.ca link. 2455: BILL.
Episode 5: "Scoundrel" not only refers to William Shakespeare,
but William McDaniel.
Episode 6: Anderson hands the players La Mole wine while eating an apple.
The apple is the official symbol of Washington State, Bill's home.
Episode 7: The value of a dollar BILL in Italy.
Episode 8: Heather picked up a clue in the picture above her while taking
the Quiz, one of a ship.
Episode 9: Opening montage: the letters spell out "ADMIRAL."
Episode 10: Allusion to clue #5.
Episode 11: More ships before "The Funhouse." And the clue of
"Mickey D's". Not just a play on words, but a reference to
Bill's last name, McDaniel.
Episode 12: The letters in the opening montage, spelling "Bill is the
Mole"
There you have it, America. Heather was the eleventh victim of Bill, the
Mole, and Dorothy wins $636,000.
