Buy or Sell with Bribs... Heather was Ms. Pac-Man to a ghost Monster by
the name of Al, who managed to chomp her into oblivion. Given another
life, Heather comes closer to finishing her stage, only to get chomped on
by the ghost named Bribs. At the end, though, karma would come biting back
as Bribs is given the boot. We already have a good idea as to who's the
Mole (hint: it ain't Dorothy), but what will happen when former Mole
Kathryn Price shows up? Get your pen and your casebook out and keep track
of the clues, because game is on.
THE MOLE: THE NEXT BETRAYAL - Byte 11
Four players remain: Al, Bill, Dorothy, and Heather.
Day 33: L'Aquila, Italy
The players interview each other. Pay attention. Anything that they say
may come up in a later quiz. Anderson says that there will be one more
exemption offered in the entire game, in this round.
Special delivery from Kathryn Price, the previous Mole. It's a box of ...
maggots? Bill dives in. Then he says that he's not going to eat any of
them. It's not for eating, though. It's a clue to the next assignment.
ASSIGNMENT 1: High Card
"Welcome to Anderson's Fun House. I hope you have as much fun as I
do." After introducing the team to his "girls" (dolls that
blink on their own), Anderson lays out the challenge. Each player has a
chip worth $25,000. Anderson will deal out a card. The high card wins the
hand and has a choice to either throw his/her chip in the kitty or oust a
player from the game. Aces high, deuces low. Insert Card Sharks joke here.
Heather has the first high card and puts her money in the pot. Al has the
second high card, same deal. Bill has the high card, putting the pot at
$75,000. The pot goes to $100,000, and now the fun begins. Al gets
the high card and ousts Dorothy. Heather ousts Al. The final high card of
the game goes to Bill, who goes to the hotel, while the rest of the
players get to spend the night... in Anderson's fun house.
WIN - Bill sleeps in a bed.
ASSIGNMENT 2: The Fun House
Dorothy sleeps in a small room with a chamber. She has to spend 30 minutes
in the chamber. Oh, did we mention bugs? Al has a room with a bed without
a mattress. Sleep in it, and he fulfills his requirement. Oh, did we
mention Don Ho's "Tiny Bubbles" playing in the background...
repeatedly? Meanwhile, Heather shares a room with a rather large snake.
Dorothy seems to be handling her living arrangements well. Al has grown
accustomed to the music. Heather has grown a liking to her new roommate.
Let's turn out the lights. Okay, let's turn them back on; Heather wants
out. Al and Dorothy continue their work. Let's turn out the lights on
Dorothy this time. Now let's turn them back on; she lasted the 30 minutes.
However, Dorothy is the first to find out...
LOSS - $100,000 is not added ($486,000 total).
Day 34: Still in L'Aquila.
ASSIGNMENT 3: The Liar Game
Two players must lie about their experience last night. If Bill can detect
the truth teller, he gets an exemption. If not, $50,000 will be added to
the pot. Bill interviews each player for five minutes. Heather tells the
story of the cockroach chambers. We all know that Heather's lying. Al
talks about "Tiny Bubbles". Truth. Dorothy tells the story of
the python. Fallacy. In his judgment, Bill says Al and Dorothy are lying.
Al told the truth.
WIN - $50,000 ($536,000, past the magic number of $510K).
Dinner: cheeseburgers, fries, and chicken nuggets courtesy of McDonald's.
Anderson can't decide which fry to eat first!
THE QUIZ:
1) Did the Mole leave his or her room?
2) What is the Mole's original journal number?
3) During High Card, what was the sum of all the cards the Mole received?
4) What was the Mole during the Liar Game?
5) Who did the Mole eliminate during the High Card game?
6) During interrogation, did the Mole have his or her bag in the room?
7) Did the Mole have ketchup with their fries?
8) How many times did the Mole cut the deck in High Card?
9) What kind of music did the Mole like?
10) WHO IS THE MOLE?
EXECUTION: To recap, $536,000 is now in the pot.
Heather - GREEN
Al - RED
Al is the Mole's tenth victim. He's disappointed, thinking that he
couldn't squeak behind. Everyoe thinks that he's nervous. Dorothy's
floored.
