Previously, our remaining
players got a taste of wine with a hint of... foot. Then Bill, the Mole,
the odds-on favorite to be the Mole according to Greg Diener, stopped a
game after the game was already been stopped. Long story. No, really. In
the end, Darwin got the boot. But who will be erased this week? And will
the clues ass on to the odds-on? Get your pencil and your casebook ready,
because things are about to be tense and game is on.
THE MOLE: THE NEXT BETRAYAL - Byte 10
Five players remain: Al, Bill, Bribs, Dorothy, and Heather.
Day 30: Rome, Italy
Day of rest for the players. Toss that coin into the fountain. You'll need
all the luck you can get.
Day 31: L'Aquila, Italy
ASSIGNMENT 1: Buy and Sell
Heather and Dorothy like to shop, so they participate. They get L200,000
(around $100) to spend on nine items in one hour. They're given a
dictionary, which doesn't come in handly, but they do buy ten items with
the money. Now the guys must sell these items and make a profit. None of
the guys get anywhere past L3,000 for the first 15 minutes. After an hour
or so, they start selling the clothes off their back. Literally. With Half
an hour later, they have only L66,000. Afterwards, they have a test of
morality, which they pass. At the end, they only have L96,000.
LOSS - $30,000 is not added. ($376,000 total)
As they are selling, Heather and Dorothy make a coalition to make it to
the final. They, however, are oblivious to the test that the guys faced, a
test that they passed.
ASSIGNMENT 2: Morality Test
WIN - $10,000 ($386,000 total).
ASSIGNMENT 3: Evader
In Santo Stefano, one player (Heather, the favorite to take the money)
must evade capture by the tracker (Al, the favorite to not be the Mole).
If the evader retrieves five thumbprints in 30 minutes, she receives an
exemption. If she fails and is caught by the tracker and his lookouts,
then not only will the group get $50,000, but Al will get an exemption.
Atop the towers, Dorothy, Bribs, and Bill can spot the entire maze,
including the thumbprints. After passing a dog, Heather locates two of the
five. She locates another one when she hears that they are after her.
Al gets her and captures her flag. "Oh, I got her."
WIN - $50,000 lost ($436,000), Al has an exemption.
"She's on the verge of cracking" -Al, about Heather. But the
game is not over. They will play again to double that $50,000 by a four to
one vote (Dorothy, surprise, surprise, is the only dissenter).
ASSIGNMENT 4: Evader II: The Next Do-Over.
Heather is still the Evader, but this time, Bribs is the Tracker. Heather
sneaks one thumbprint past Dorothy. The team spots Heather grabbing
thumbprint #2. Bribs gives chase as Heather #3. Then comes #4. On the way
to #5, Heather is "I gotcha'ed." Again.
WIN - $50,000 ($486,000 total)
The men go to bed. Dorothy and Heather talk strategy. Dorothy tells
half-truths. That's about all they get out of her.
Day 32: L'Aquila, Italy.

it's a good thing they're approaching the total already. --JE). Al is
exempt.
Dorothy - GREEN
Bill - GREEN
Two players remain.
Bribs - RED
Bribs is the Mole's ninth victim. He's very happy in how he played the
