So far so good - we have yet to lose an immunity challenge, and we are all still here - including sir Richard of Hatch. Despite winning the flint, though, we still don't have any fire - and Lex doesn't have any bug repellant. Remember those happy bugs that had a feast in Survivor Pearl Islands? Well, if they saw McDonalds in Survivor 7, they see 18 (now 16) pieces of FIlet Mignon on the beach now - and the bugs want to dine on the food while the food is still on the island. As a result, they have bites that look bigger than the freckles on Raggedy Ann and Andy. 'We look like bigger freaks than we already are' says Jenna.

Jenna's not only hurting from the outside, she;s hurting from the inside. Kathy notes that she didn't get enough water for the first 4 days, and she and Lex are discussing that Jenna is looking miserable - but something else is bothering her. What is it? We don't know yet, but we will soon...

But going back to the feast motif, Richard wants to get some seafood for the tribe. While he is looking for some sustenance for the tribe (and to improve his standing), he finds a baby shark hiding under a ledge. Richard grabs the shark, and lets go of the shark's head. Great move, Richard. The shark, of course, reacts like the bugs do and sees that it's dinner time and the main course is man-flesh arm mignon. Munch, munch, munch.

With the shark still dangling onto his arm, Richard backstrokes over to a ledge, finds a rock, lays the shark on the rock, finds another rock, and promptly bashes the shark's head in with it until thoroughly dead. He brings the dead shark with him to camp, and we now have filet of Shark mignon. The rest of the tribe seems to be thrilled with this. Colby - 'Can you call a gay man a stud?'

Richard tells his story about how the shark bit him, so he bit the shark, and the group seems to be impressed. Shii Ann calls Richard a fishing God...'he may not be very impressive downstairs, but he's impressive in other ways.' Well, that's a back-handed compliment if I heard one. Richard says that he needs to be the food provider, and h feels that he is safe as long as he does it.

Richard is a good fisherman - how good is he with tools? We get a box from the Home Depot - and we get a 24 hour challenge to build the best house. We will get judged by a Bushtucker tribe, and first place gets the blankets, etc. that Saboga passed up on in the first reward challenge - and we get the clue for the second key. Whoever comes in second only gets the key.

Two people have to sit out - and our 4 people that will work on it will be Colby, Lex, Shii Ann and Jenna. Richard is more than happy to sit out, since that would be a lot of work and energy expansion, while Kathy is working on cleaning. Shii Ann and Jenna talk about creating things like coconut phones and water buckets, and Lex is staring at her like she was eating chicken from her original episode and putting the skin on her head and wearing it as a shawl.

Jenna is trying to get into the challenge - but her mind is on someone else - like her mom, who has cancer and she is not getting better. Jenna is having second thoughts about her being on the island and competing - and you can tell that she is concerned because she is projecting her emotion of sadness to everyone else, who all know that something is up.

We'll see if this affected their ability to build as the next morning, Jeff brings 'Ratha' with him to judge the hut. Ratha immediately looks to try to shake our foundation, but it doesn't budge and he can't destroy it. Colby - 'He has shown us that it can support a 250 pound naked gay man with no problem....he said humph, which I guess is a compliment.'

Is it enough of a compliment? We look at the plane as it dumps the first place prize...over to Chapera. A very bummed out Lex replies, 'It better be a mansion. It better have 3 stories.' We do get a consolation though = we do get second, which is good enough to get the clue to the second lock - and to the rice. Richard - 'Clue 2 for rice - that's more important than anything else.'

We'll get to see just how good our shelter is as we get another rainstorm coming in...and it's not. 'Our shelter really wasn't prepared for that kind of storm' says Lex, as we are looking for sanctuary. Jenna, meanwhile, is still looking for inner sanctuary - and she can't find it. She tells the team that she is too concerned that something bad will happen to her mom while she is out here, and she says that she will never forgive herself if her mom dies while she is out here playing the game. Kathy seems to agree, but Colby is wondering what will happen to their morale if they lose.

But will the decision be a moot point at the immunity challenge? Well...we won't get to the immunity challenge. 'Due to someone who's home right now that's getting worse, I need to pull myself out of the game and be there. I love this game so much, but my priority os to my family. It doesn't make any sense for me to be right here right now, so I need to pull myself out of the game.' She feels like she is getting a vibe - I feel like she is getting information from someone in the production staff - but I think that she is making the right move.

Alicia agrees with her and Amber wants to give her a hug - which she does. Jenna says that she wants to spend mom's time by her side. Rob says that everyone needs to support her decision. Rupert says that it's a hard decision and Tom says that he said that he would have stayed at the island - but that's only his own decision. Jeff says that it's a big decision that could have an impact of the game - and he says that it hurts Mogo Mogo. He says that there won't be any Immunity Challenge - and Jenna doesn't want there to be a Tribal Council.

As Jenna finishes hugging everyone, a boat comes to the shore. Jenna is put on it, and she leaves, while everyone else hugs themselves in support. This is usually where I would throw in a AwwwwBarf, but this is a serious matter - and life itself is too short to be made fun of. While Jenna admits that she made a poor decision in coming back to play, and though I really think that this will haunt the team, I think she did the right thing to leave - especially since we find out that 8 days after Jenna got back to her mom, she lost her battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jenna's family. Kathy says Jenna's closing speech, and she finishes it quite appropriately - 'Even though it's a game, there's a whole lot more happening here.'

With that said, we'll see you next week.
