Well, the captain has been booted from the ship, and we now have a mutiny brewing. But who will be the new captain - and who will be going down with the ship?
'Maybe I've been cocky that I know what's been going on.' says Christa, who thinks she's naive. Sandra is more blunt - calling Jon out and accusing Jon of backstabbing Rupert and the Drake tribe. 'I hope these three ladies turn on your ass.', she says, as she warns the other women that Jon will turn on them in an instant.
The curse of Rupert - the bucket of fish, which was full, is now empty. They accuse Christa - who says that she wasn't near the fish - but on noe is buying what Christa is selling. 'That was the most idiotic, childish thing that Ive seen since this game begun - and Christa will be penalized.' says Jon - but the doesn't see the true culprit.
They find the fish the next morning - and it's behind the woods. It gets back to yelling at Christa - but what she doesn't know is that the real person who did it was Sandra - and she's not talking, because if she does, she feels like she would be the next person to go. Christa wants to go and see her man and to get back to real life. 'It sucks being here right now.'
She ay have that wish sooner than she realizes - but right now, it's time for the Reward Challenge. Today's challenge is based on walking someone off the plank - but they won't be doing the walking. Their LOVED ONES will! That's right its the return of the loved ones, and each person has their different loved one. Sandra has husband Marcus, Tijuana has her friend William, Burton has his mom, Deedee, Lil has her husband Lonnie, Darrah has her boyfriend Bradley, Christa does get to see her man after all, and Jon has his wrestling buddy Dan.
Jon nasked how his grandma is doing - and Dan said that she died. Jon cries, 'It was either going to be my buddy or my grandmother - and my buddy is here for a reason.' Jeff gives his condolences and everyone is sad - right off of a wrestling story, if you ask me.
We play the reward challenge - and it's a Newleywed-Game style event. If you match, you get to send one of the loved ones one step closer to walking off of the plank. Whoever wins will have the camp all to themselves for 24 hours with their loved one.
We get some early angst between Jon and Sandra, as Jon wants to spend more time learning about the death of his grandmother. Sandra is the only person who pushes Dan up a plank - no one else touches him and Johnny, due to sympathy, wins the reward challenge.
Jeff tells them that for 24 hours, Jon and Dan will be alone on their tribe. Meanwhile, everyone else will be moving to a new tribe for the next 24 hours. They are all miserable at the new 'shelter', which is more like a beach - but at least they are all happy that Jon is having some time to talk about his dead grandmother.
But what if they knew that she isn't dead? 'My grandmother is at home, watching Jerry Springer right now.' says Jon, who is celebrating with Dan over their ruse. 'You have to take advantage of everything possible, If not, you're a fool.' They set this up before-hand, so that Jon would have some leverage for later on in the game - and it worked like a charm - though he thinks that it may go down as the dirtiest trick played on Survivor. 'Your grandmother's going to hate you.' says Dan. Jon - 'My grandmother's going to love it.' Maybe Rupert was the most liked, but Jon is definitely the star of this series - and understandable why he was not selected for Survivor All-Stars.
After Dan leaves, we are back to strategy. Sandra is still trying to get the women's alliance going - and she gets Tijuana to listen in with her on what Burton and Jon are saying. Sure enough, they were saying how they were going to be in the final 2 and Tijuana gets to hear the whole conversation. The women now team up - and say that if Burton does not win immunity, he's gone.
Speaking of immunity challenge, this one's a new one. they have to use letters to form words and complete a grid. If they are done first, then they win immunity. However, if they say they are done, and they are not, then they are eliminated from the game.
We start, and Christa is moving like wlidfire. We stop - and Christa is wrong. She is out of the game. The next person to stop is Tijuana - and she is also wrong. Jon is the third person to be eliminated. Burton is next -and Jeff says that he is right, and we all go back to the camp...
...until Jeff calls us back, Apparently, Burton misspelled Liaison - spelling it liason. Oops. Well, since everyone went through the field, Jeff calls a replay - there will now be letters and the three remaining people - Darrah, Lil and Sandra - have a minute to get as many 4 letter words or more as possible. On the retest, Lil has 10 words, Sandra has 12, and Darrah has 14, which makes her safe from the vote-out.
That's the good news for her - and the bad news for everyone else. Tijuana and Darrah says that it's the best time to get rid of Burton - then get rid of Christa. Sandra and Christa want to get rid of Burton - then Jon. Tijuana tells Jon that Burton has to go - and that was her biggest mistake, since Jon and Burton are allies. Jon goes to Sandra and Christa - and he tells them that he needs their help to save Burton - and get rid of Tijuana. Sandra doesn't trust him, but Jon swears on his dead grandmother - who is alive and watching Jerry Springer. Heh.
Tribal Council time - Christa is still concerned that she is being accused. Jon is happy that he had some time to deal with his loss (heh), and Burton says that you don't have to trust people to have an alliance - just to have people with a common interest. Jon says that the game has changed in the past few days - and so can alliances. Hmmmm...
Voting time - Darrah votes out the biggest threat - Burton. Burton votes for Tijuana, and Tijuana votes for Burton, accusing him of double talk. She is right - but her 'allies' have gon against her. Sandra and Christa do switch sides and vote for Tijuana, and in probably the dumbest move of the year by the ladies, the ally that would have put them over the top is gone.
But the game changes every day - and Chico gets the next 3 days worth of changes.
