Day 16: Another day in the life of T, Osten, Rhino, Darrah, Savage... and a pelican?

Meet Pelican Pete, the newest in a line of tribe mascots designed to scare the life out of Osten, prompting our big baby to start sharpening his machete. "I think it's hilarious that Osten's scared of every little thing," Darrah quips. You know, Osten's afraid of all forms of animal, but he hangs around with Rhino. Of course it helps that it's his nickname, but still, even HE is laughing at Osten's fear of animality. And T? She invites the bird in anyway.

By the way, there was a challenge initially, Rhino won, and Pete was escorted a little ways away from camp. So that's the end of Pelican Pete for a while, but expect him to make a recurring appearance as Archie's pet bird on CSI.

Meanwhile, thar be treasure mail, says I.

Batten down the hatches, it's time to have a blast.
Ready, aim, fire, who'll be standing last?
Will your tribe fall short, or will you go too far?
Your stomach and taste buds will thank you, it's the best reward by far.

R-CHALLENGE: Ready Aim Fire (grill, spices, accessories, lobster, steak; one piece of treasure map should Morgan win; one free pilfer from the opposing tribe's camp).

One at a time, each tribesman must load a cannonball into a cannon and fire at one of four targets. First tribe to take out all four targets wins. Savage is first, and he ... misses. You know, for all the talk he puts in, the LEAST he can do is back it up with some action. It's dead even until Savage misses again. Christa blasts her ball into the fourth Drake target, winning surf and turf for her tribe.

And an open question. What does "had a little English on it" mean?

Day 18: Jonny Fairplay makes a visit... and an ass of himself.

Question: who's worse, Osten, who fears everything that doesn't come out of his own ass-crack, or Jon, who is a perpetual stoner? Now's your chance to find out, as we have Jon raiding the Morgan Island for booty. He's come for the cooking pot. Which is good in Andrew's eyes, as he thought that Jon would take the shower. But Jon does take a shower, as the Morgan let him in on some shampoo for that whole whatever it is he's got going on up there. Apparently more is going on up there as we realize as Jon lets our tribe in on a little secret regarding the six straight losses. "Technically seven. We threw the seventh one just to get Burton out." "Throwing the challenges..." Andrew says. "Yeah right, he's just screwing up," Darrah retaliates. You know, I could not sum up the feelings at the tribe right now, so I'm going to let Savage have this paragraph.

"I think that's just nonsense and I think it's bad sportsmanship for him, the little bastard, to indicate that we didn't, fair and square, win that challenge. So I don't think they did throw that, but just for that little pissant to take that away from us. He came here to ruffle some feathers, and he definitely did. And it concerned me from an immunity standpoint, because the most critical one coming up today, and it's causing dissention from the ranks. Let the games begin and let's see what they're made of. Let's have some fun."

Man, he should get this job. ... Naah.

I-CHALLENGE: Pull Your Weight

Two members of each tribe will choose from three from the opposing tribe to carry some weight (in 20 pound increments up to 600). Each of those three will be carrying a pole-axe on both of their shoulders. Once you drop the pole-axe, you're out. Last one standing wins immunity. We start by putting the majority of our weight on Rupert, while the Drake spreads out their weight. As soon as Jeff says that it's going to come down to will, Osten's will won't. And neither does Rupert's, as we have a showdown. Shawn goes down next, as now Christa goes up against Rhino and Savage. What is this, American Gladiators? Well, as soon as you can say "Csonka", Christa's back gives, and the Morgan are taking the skull-and-battleaxe back to their island. ---
