'My first Tribal Council sucked'.

Yes - Tribal Councils do suck, Rupert. We lose 2 straight immunity challenges, and all of a sudden, that 3 week worth of momentum? Gone. Rupert, who thought that he may have offended people with his brutal honesty, apologized - and he has second thoughts about putting Michelle's name down. Actually, he has second thoughts about a lot of things. 'Before, we thought that a Drake was going to win this - now it's in question.'

Ruperts bad mood doesn't get helped by the fact that his new 'pet', Balboa, has made like a frog and croaked. After mourning for his little snake, he tells the tribe that instead of using it for bait, he's going to bury it. Shawn is wondering how he gets to attached to the little snake, and I agree - he should be focusing more on the big snakes in his tribe.

But staying with the animal theme, people are getting sick and tired of being bitten by the bugs roaming around the island, so Rupert suggests to move the hut an extra 6 to 8 inches off of the ground. 'Even though most of us don't agree or understand what (Rupert's) doing, we all think that we will anything t stop the biting.', says CHrista. I don't see how that can help, either, but Rupert does think that it will be an off day today, and hey, anything to fill up three days of activity, eh?

Shawn doesn't think so. He tells everyone that he disagrees with the idea - and then he stops work while they have the hut deconstructed and talks about it some more. This is not the smartest idea in the world, as Shawn, who is being painted as Mr. Lazy, is making excuses about why there should not be building the house. That pisses off Jon an he and Shawn get into a war of words. After Jon verbally bitch-slaps him in front of everyone, Shawn shuts up and finally helps out. Sandra - 'He has to make sure that we win the challenge - or he's going home. That's it.'

Speaking of challenges - Sea Mail! And we get a little cannon ball attached to the letter...

Batten down the hatches, it's time to have a blast
Ready, Aim, Fire - who'll be standing last?
Will your tribe fall short, or will you go too far?
Your stomach will thank you - it's the tastiest reward by far

It's a cannonball challenge - using real live cannons. The objective is to shoot mini-cannon balls at the other team's targets. The first team that knocks down all of the opposing teams targets first wins.

The winner will get a barbecue package - featuring a grill, utensils, spices, lobsters...and big juicy steak! That plus a piece of map to the moldy treasure for Morgan, and a chance to loot for either team.

We start with Jon, who is pretty loaded...I mean he gets his cannon loaded. After a few rotations, both teams have one target left. It's down to Andrew and Christa for the food. Andrew misses his target, Christa hits hers, and the challenge is over. We finally get back on the win streak, and all is calm - well, for now, anyways.

We celebrate the win by everyone seasoning their own steaks and splitting the lobsters. They are having fun eating - and the next morning, Jon plans on having fun looting something from the other tribe. 'Johnny Fairplay' has been the instigator for his own tribe - this ought to be interesting to see what he does for the other tribe.

Jon is actually pretty diplomatic, so far, as he goes for the pots, specifically as a strategic move so that they don't turn around and loot something that they need. He also requested a shower, and they gave it to him. Ah, such nice diplomatic relations...

...until Jon, as he is want to do, finally opens his mouth and says something stupid. 'Stupid', in this case, is gloating to them about their 6 straight wins - and saying that it was 7, as they threw a challenge to get rid of Burton. That makes Andrew, of the Morgan tribe, look as boiled as the lobsters that Drake just cooked - and it looks like he have a real battle brewing for immunity.

And speaking of immunity, it's time for this week's immunity challenge. The challenge is a combination of strength and strategy. The teams send up 3 men to carry poles on their shoulders. The other 2 people send up weights in 20 pound increments to the pole of the opposing teammate of their choice. Once you can't take any more weight or you drop your pole, you're out. Whichever team has any people left wins.

Booth teams target the strong guys, and Rupert and Osten are both out early. It's down to Andrew and Ryan from Morgan and Shawn and Christa from Drake. Our strategy is to knock out Andrew, but the problem is that we have one woman carrying the weight - well make it 2, as Shawn folds at 160 pounds. After that, it just becomes a matter of time until Christa folds - but she drops at 160, which is just as much as our 'strong man' Shawn held up. Nevertheless, a loss is a loss, and it's back to Tribal Council, with the reality that we are back down to 5-5 in terms of strength.

'It was the worst pitiful performance I have ever seen...he deserves to go home just for that.' says Rupert. Meanwhile, here comes the snakes coming from the other tribe - and Trish and Jon are leading the serpentine. Trish is feeling like they have to get rid of Rupert, because they feel that Rupert can win on both Drake and Morgan. Jon and Trish realize that if they go up against Rupert in the finals, they will lose. Once again, everyone is looking way too far ahead in the game - they have to GET to the finals first, and Rupert realizes this. So does Sandra, as she tells Christa and Rupert what Trish and Jon are up to.

With that info, Rupert is now forced to go to Shawn to ally with him, and after Shawn goes to talk to Jon, we see that Jon doesn't care who goes - as long as it's not Shawn. We seem to have a definite alliance of Jon and Shawn, with a very uneasy Rupert thrown in as he is connected to Sandra and Christa.

Tribal Council time - and we all say the things to saw 'We started so strong, and now we're not. It's hard to keep it together...you can't lose hope - you gotta believe that you can. We lose one person tonight, and I hope it's not me.' says Rupert, who adds that people may think that he is unneeded. 'I can catch 10 pounds worth of fish a day, and half of the tribe wants me gone.' Trish is trying to downplay it, but no one buys what she is selling, and she may have gotten a hint from Sandra, who says that the person who is getting voted out tonight least expects it - and who's been saying a lot of different stories.

Voting time - Christa votes for Trish - 'You stabbed us all in the back - you have no idea how to play this game.' Jon votes for Rupert, spewing out wrestling's Million Dollar man theme while voting. Sandra votes fo Trish and Trish votes for Rupert. Rupert votes for Trish, and we don't know who Shawn voted for. We find out that he voted for Trish - and that's 4-2 for her ouster. Jon closes his eyes, realizing that 1. Shawn and him split votes, 2. He's been played as Shawn, his 'Alliance Buddy' has sold him out to dry, and 3. His plans are falling apart...as is Drake, as Uncle Jeffy says - 'One thing is for certain - it's anybody's game.'

We will find out that next week, Jeff is right on that last comment - more right than anyone currently knows...
