My Drake tribe is now 1-0. Whoopie. In terms of my team's eventual survival in the game, I still have a bad feeling about this...

Maybe I need to have an attitude like Rupert 'I'm loving life, I love the position I'm in, and I'm living in paradise.' Rupert is going to go fishing, and is surprised by some of the behavior. 'People are having a hard time living in paradise.' Cut to Burton splashing himself with coconut milk. Rupert is enjoying capturing fish - and he's got a ton - but he warns the guys to be very careful with the spear tip, because if they lose it, they can't get any fish - and they are screwed.

It's reward challenge time - and now we'll see who's screwed -

Stormy weather ran ships aground
Some tresures were lost, a few they were found
Salvage the quickest - silver and gold
You'll then be rewarded like pirates of old

Aye, mateys tis time to do the challenge. We arrive - and notice that the other team is Nicoleless. We have a treasure chest, and treasures scattered around the chest. Whoever gets all of the treasures into the chest, and then brings the chest on land the first, wins 2 things - #1 - The first clue to a hidden treaure chest in our camp, and #2 - We get to steal an item from the other person's camp. About #2 - this will happen for every reward challenge, so if we keep winning reward challenges, we can pick the other tribe naked! Well, wait a sec, we've already seen almost half of the other tribe butt naked already, so...maybe we don't really want to do that...

We get to sit our weakest person - in this case, Sandra. Away we go, and we are off to a rip-roaring start, while the other team...well...they don't seem to be doing much. We get the first item in the chest, and they are still on item #1. We get the second item in the chest, and...they are still on item #1. We get the third item in the chest, and...they are still...well...you know. We win this one in a rout, and it's looting time!

Before we do that, we look at the first clue for the hidden treasure, and we read the following message:

There's a treasure buried, so be on your way,
Make sure you leave at the right time of day
yoyu'll be heading east, travel by land
and don't plan to stop when you run out of sand.

We figured out most of the clue - the treasure is on the other side of the island, but we can't get there because of the high tide. Once the tide comes down, we will do some exploring...

The team is split in terms of what item to take from Morgan. Jon wants to hurt them by taking either their water jug - or their tarp. Rupert doesn't want to hurt them that bad, and Christa adds that no matter whan happens, they are going to hurt.

We decide to send Sandra over, where she has this interesting conversation with Ryan S. Sandra - 'Are you the ambassador of the morgan tribe?' Ryan -'I'm the goober of the Morgan tribe.' I don't see Ryan lasting this long on his tribe...

Sandra looks for Morgan's jug, but they don't have one, so she decides to go for the jugular - and the tarp. 'I started feeling bad until they started running their mouths.' Sandra looks for help to take the tarp down, but she is as welcome as a piece of wood at a fire conventionand she has to wind up taking the tarp herself - which leads to the destruction of Morgan's shelter. Oops.

Sandra says that there are no hard feelings, but as far as the other team in concerned, she has firmly placed a bulls-eye on her rear-end. It gets bigger once she leaves, and we hear the oncoming thunder precluding to a rainstorm, Oops.

While Sandra is in the process of giving the other tribe pneumonia, we get some fishing - or shall I say careless fishing by Shawn, who drags the spear and loses the all-important tip. 'We have a problem' Rupert's reaction? 'My spear is dead.' I can't wait to see Rupert's reaction - and he shows his displeasure by breaking off pieces of weod - and Shawn better hope that Rupert doesn't try to do that same method on his limbs.

Rupert is lecturing the tribe in terms of finding the spear - and he suggests that the whole tribe help him look. He winds up doing it alone - and he may be alienating himself from the whole tribe. He looks in a criss-cross pattern - and he does find it. He gives a triumphant yell, and Shawn looks relieved. 'If we hadn't found that spear, he for sure, would have been gone, gone gone.'

It's time for Immunity - no poem needed. Jeff talks to us that although pirating can be fun, 'Payback can be painful.' Hopefully this challenge will not be painful - but three of them are prisoners, tied up on a raft. The other 4 people are pulling the three people on the other team. When the first person becomes untied, he has to free the other 2 people and they swim to shore, along with 2 different ropes and directions on where to place the ropes. If they place the ropes correctly, the ropes will form an 'X' and the center of it leads to a buried flag. The first team to put their flag in their pole wins immunity.

Christa is sitting out today - and she won't be needed if Morgan continues to do as well as they have been doing. Andrew takes the early lead, but Rupert gets out shortly after so it's still close. It's still Morgan's lead - but Andrew is having problems opening up his map. We have no such problems opening up our coordinates and we take the lead. Morgan does get to dig - but they wind up digging in the wrong spot. We find the right spot, and once again, we stay intact.

You may think, ok, Gordon may have the winning team - but remember, my Samburu tribe had the first 2 immunities in Survivor-Africa - and none of us wound up in the Final Four. Will we have better luck this time around? Only the fates know for sure...
