The good news is that we didn't lose anyone last episode. The better news is that we have no problems with shelter or food. But we do have the traditional Young vs Old gap in the tribe. Rob(in Hood) is plotting a way to try to get people to get rid of the Sheriff of Rogerham. Playing the peasants are Dan and Matt. Playing the Nobles are Butch and Dave. Alex is the noble who could wind up helping the peasants overthrow the nobles. Maid Alex Marion?

'And on the 7th day, the Lord said to rest, but that's not us.' says Rob, who leads the guys to repairing their huts. Daniel has decided to take the 7th day off though. Roger asks him to grab the water, and he says yes - but Roger isn't convinced and he takes the water by himself. 'I'm not speaking to Roger right now.' Says Dan 'I knoe he wants to vote for me, and he knows that I want to vote for him.'

Matthew starts to talk to Dan - in Mandarin Chinese. That starts a bonding ritual between Dan and Matthew, Matthew is telling Dan that Roger is vulnerable. 'When Matt says something ot me, he is being truthful.' says Dan, who completely trusts him. Now where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, all of the other times that someone has said that they can trust that person - and they wind up being booted thanks to the person that he can trust.

This seems to be clearly the Dan Vs. Roger show - if the team loses loses the immunity challenge, barring one of the other guys admitting that they dressed in drag and planted the granola bar in the women's camp, one of those 2 people will be going bye-bye in this episode.

And we are up to a challenge - but it's a reward challenge. And it's a version of Old Maid. Each person has 5 items. They ask someone for an item. if you have it, then you get get a point and take it from someone from the other team. The winning team gets all of the items - which is a supply of toiletries and hygenial products.

We get some silliness - and some foretelling - in the challenge. Dan meets Shawna 'I hope we see each other soon' says Dan. Sooner than you may think, Dan. We also find out that half of the women in the tribe have a crush on Rob. Jenna says that she's not letting it hang out today - 'maybe tomorrow'. Damn, I wish I was covering the women's tribe this week. And they will be smeling very pretty, because they win, 18-14, over the guys. Us guys can do everything - except win the challenges. We are now 1-3. Yuck.

'I got a better reward than soap and toothpaste - that some girls want to get with me' says Rob. 'I'll take what I can get. She's probably a 9.5 in real life, and right now's she's about a 6. That levels the playing field for guys like me.'

One woman that Rob doesn't want to hook up with is Joanna, the Christian freak. 'I didn't know that Jesus had a partial interest in Survivor...Jesus is a guy, so I figured that he'd want the guys to win.'

'I can't wait to see the girls taking baths.' says Rob. If only we can see them bathing right now. But would they ever do it in front of the camera naked? Nah...

Something else is starting to stink, besides our challenge track record and our bodies. We have Dave and Matt conversing while they are fishing:
Matt to Dave - 'Do you think that we are better off without Daniel or Roger?
Dave to Matt - 'Daniel...then we'll see what happens.'

That doesn't sound like trust there, Dan.

Meanwhile, Rob is trying to work on Alex and is trying to get himself into the inner circle. The kids come back with three fish - but they are small fish. 'I have swallowed larger fish in Fraternitiy parties whole.' complains Rob.

Alex has been approached by Rob - and now he has been approached by the team of Roger, Dave and Butch to get rid of Dan. 'I am the swing vote - and I can go either way.' All of the power is on Maid Alex's shoulders. Does he stay with the fogies or go with the youth?

Of course, if we win the immunity challengs, then we don't have to worry about any of this. And let's read it -

Caged like an animal
The exit is in sight.
Coordinate as a tribe
Or Face Tribal Council Tonight.

We are goofing around with the Magic 8 ball wondering what girl is going to hang out with what guy. We decided to stick our colors on the idol. In order for us to keep the idol, than we have to get ourselves out of a cage. We have to do this by untying knots, which release a machete, which will unlock wood and sticks - that will release poles that will be used to grab keys. Unlock three of them and that will undo the hatch - and that will be used to escape to freedom and the win.

So the best team work wins? We're in trouble. Both teams get the machete done, but while we are moving it around, we realize that there were three ropes that need to be cut. The women figured it out before we do, and they get to the poles for the keys before we are done chopping the rope for the poles. The women roll from there to the win. To add insult to injury, the women deplume the idol and give our colored feathers back to us, saying 'this belongs to you'. Ouch.

We are now 1-4 in the challenges - and that's pretty sad. What's sadder is that all of the guys are playing both sides of the fence. The biggest culprit is Rob, who even tells Roger that Dan is getting votes to get rid of him. 'I know that ant time any two people in the tribe are butting heads, that's good for business.' He then tells Dan that he is voting for Roger.

Everyne in the camp finally figures it out in terms of votes. The tribe has summed up that Alex, who likes to be the yes man, is the only other person who will vote for Dan. Dave sums this up the best - 'One for Dan, one for Roger, One for Dan, One for Roger, then three in a row for Dan.'

At tribal council, Dan talks about his bond with Matthew = and he throws the race card into it. Roger turns it around and plays the lazy card. 'He's been barking orders lik a drill sergeant since day 1.' counters Dan, and it's blatabtly obvious that they are not sending themselves any Survivor Holiday Greeting Cards.

Dan, of course, votes for Roger. 'Roger, you've been out here 6 days too long.' Roger, of course, votes for Dan 'I think you've said it at the Tribal Council. You're out of your element, and you've not been a team player.' The question is - how is the swing votes going to react? We don't see anyone else vote, so we wait for Uncle Jeffy to pull them out.

We do get one Dan vote, then one Roger vote, but we don't get the second Roger vote - the rest of them all voted for Dan - even his little friend Matt who wouldn't vote for him.

So this tale right now ends with all of the peasants ganging up on the lazy one as the Sheriff of Rogerham continues to rule over the peasants. Of course this story is not even close to being the end, but with Roger now holding a decisive majority over the group, this should be very interesting to see where this goes - and if Dan's friend Matt and Mr. 'I love everyone' Alex continue to lead as the people most likely to join Dan and Ryan at Loser Lodge.
