Last week, our tribe lost our first member
as Jed takes a disinterested powder off of the tribe. This week, we get to
see if anyone else on our tribe want to join him - or if we can get
someone over on Chuay Gahn to leave instead.
We come back from tribal council - and Robb was very surprised. He figured
that Shii Ann was as good as gone. Newsflash #1 - you weren't counting the
people in the groups, were you? Shii Ann is in a group of 5 - you are n a
group of three. 'As hard as this is, I don't think you can get rid of the
people who are helping you' says Stephanie. Newsflash #2 - Jed
wasn't exactly helping.
Everyone decides that they do not want to go back to tribal council, so we
are going to start kicking ass and be galvanized again. Stephanie, fully
realizing that she's next, starts getting the food for them all to eat -
and then starts sulking by herself. That's the wrong way to stay on the
island. Robb is joining her when they talk and eat - and they are
isolating themselves from everyone else. Would you like to paint the
bulls-eye on your backs a little bigger?
Tree mail! - and a dummy. Let's read the mail first -
Kind of big and lazy, he'll lay around all day
If he's going to get things done, you'll have to take him out to play
The newest member of the tribe, in the next challenge he'll compete
So dress him up, give him a name, he may help get good stuff to eat.
So now we're playing dress-up. Stephanie, taking charge, decides to dress
up the dummy - and we're all sitting watching her do it. 'It looks
great, don't get me wrong, but it was far from a team effort'. His name is
Oacaruc (Curacao backwards)
So we bring Mr. Oacaruc with us to the reward challenge, and the task is
this - an obstacle course, that not only must we finish, but our 250 pound
dummy must finish too (Where's Jed?). Whoever gets through the
obstacle course first gets around 10 bushels of bananas, times to they are
ripened at different intervals. In addition, we will have a food surprise
waiting for us when we get to camp.
Although our dummy is looking pretty ragged, this is a strength challenge,
and we excel at those. We win this one easily, and get the bananas - and
the mystery food surprise waiting for us at camp. While we're
wolfing down the bananas, Robb praises the Lord, while everyone else is
thinking of bringing him to the altar for a sacrifice. But we don't have
to do that - we got chickens! Four chickens, to be exact. We can either
get eggs, or we'll pull their heads off and eat them. Shii Ann 'Thank God
we have something else to eat besides dead squid.' Robb's talking to the
chicken - oh yeah, they'll listen to the dumb cluck.
Immunity Challenge time - and this one is a mental immunity challenge - uh
oh. This is a tangram puzzle, which is 7 shapes that form into an array of
images. We need to create 2 images. one is fire, the other one is tribal
council. The first team to create fire and tribal council keeps the fire
and avoids the tribal council part. Stephanie, she of the I really need to
win to avoid my butt being handed to me at Tribal Council - sits out - so
that's not a good vibe.
Robb is telling Shi Ann how to create the second tangram - does she really
want to help? Or are we willing to get rid of a second tribe member? She
does want to win - and they do. We actually win a brain challenge, and we
will be up in members 7 to 5.
We still aren't one big happy family - and next episode could very well be
the one where people switch tribes. Will we be in a situation where us
original members are picked off one by one? Or will we be doing the
picking off and have an all Sook Jai Final Four? Only time, and the next
episode, will tell...
