For 39 days, 16 castaways were stranded
in Asia. Every 3 days on the island became a 1-hour
show. The first contestant
eliminated pockets $2500. Each successive eliminated contestant
wins more money, through the next-to-last Survivor, who receives
$100,000. The final Survivor wins a million dollars!

Did you see Lisa win $500,000 dollars this
past Wednesday night? She didn't have to sleep in a cave, or make a
thatch hut - or be up in a tree during a monsoon (she was in a tree, yes -
but not during a monsoon). I think I'll leave the tribe and go into the
Big Brother House instead. Bye, Jason!
(sounds of chainsaws)
What do you mean, Jason told you I may do this and you took the precaution
of carving up all of the bottom of the boats? Fine, I'll stay here with my
tribe - but only if we get a shelter this week, ok? I hate being drenched
in this monsoon!!!!!
Last week - we have no food, no water, and no shelter, so we're all wet -
but we did win the immunity challenge, so we have all of our tribe
members. That being said, we're already having problems between Shii Ann
and Robb, and we need the darn shelter built!
(By the way, did you like how this week they changed the credits to put
the people in their tribes instead of last week's all men and all women
opening credits? That Mark Burnett sure is slick, eh?)
So what happens on the morning of Day 4? It rains. Of course. Do we have
our hut already? Of course not. Ken has been commandeering it, and even
Shii Ann and Robb have mended their ways - for now - to complete the
shelter. But Jed and Stephanie are sitting around preparing and eating
food - though its not making the tribe happy, they are being constructive.
'Maybe they're all seeing it the right way - maybe food and water aren't
that important' says Stephanie, tongue firmly planted in cheek.
Robb feels like confronting them, while Ken decides to play the role of
Switzerland, since he 1. sees that they are doing some sort of work, and
2. doesn't want to make enemies, since making them could send you over to
making huts made out of cards over at Loser Lodge.
Once it looks like the shelter was ok, we went out to find shellfish, at
the beach - and they're all dead. The 6 of us go over to the cove and we
find fish over there. Jed and Stephanie were the 2 non-bonders - and being
alone in this game is not a good way to play. 'Stephanie, Robb and
Jed didn't want to eat any of it...we all want to have a good time, but to
have a good time, we first have to work together as a team.' said Shii
Ann.
And disunity unlimited it was, as Robb, Jed and Stephanie decided to sleep
by the beach in their little canvas tent that we slept in on the first
night. 'It looks great out - I think it's going to be a clear night out,
dude.' says Robb. Wrong. Here comes the lightning and monsoon and the
outsiders are now a bunch of drenched polecats. Bogus, dude.
Day 5 is upon us, and as we wake up, we see that Jed has decided to come
back and sleep with the rest of the tribe. He says that as long as he gets
the water, he should be able to sleep with everyone else. Robb stayed in
the makeshift tent, but Stephanie stayed stubborn like a mule and slept
out on the beach in the torrential rain. She had a cold before - now she's
sick. 'If she is sick by the time of the challenges, she could cost us
immunity, and that's when the game will truly begin' . If we do lose
immunity, Stephanie will be prime fodder for expulsion should we have to
go to tribal council.
But it's the Reward Challenge that is first.
'Life's not so cush, running around in the bush,
Have blind faith in the one that you choose
So carry your weight, or you'll seal your tribe's fate
You'll miss great rewards if you lose'
So on the the reward challenge - and Uncle Jeffy. There is a wooden
plank - One person will be on the plank directing the rest of the people
carrying the person - everyone else will be blindfolded and will have to
listen to the person directing them in order to move in the right
direction. There is an obstacle course - the objective is to stop at 8
checkpoints and grab a bag at each point. The first team to get all 8 bags
and make it to the finish line wins the reward challenge.
And what's up for grabs? Lanterns, fishing hooks for fish, fishing line,
and a 30 meter net - much better tools than what we have now.
We have to sitsomeone out, and we can't sit someone out twice in a row.
Stephanie, the sick one, gets to sit out.
The race is neck and neck all the way, but Erin's leadership and our
combination of strength and speed makes the difference at the end. Chuay
Gahn has one major fall at the end - and we didn't have any major
disasters, so we win the race and get to use the luxury items.
Well, we won the reward - did it improve morale? We will see in the
immunity challenge.
Petals on the ocean, drifting out to sea
Keep your tribe together, control your destiny
Life is like a flower, be the first to bloom
Fail to work together, and face tribal council doom
Oh that sounds nice and pleasant.
We are on a floating platform that is shaped like a petal - each member of
the tribe has to dive down ten feet to release a piece of puzzle to fit in
the flower. Each piece fits in only one place. If you can't dive to
release the piece of the puzzle, you can pass on a leg - but only after
swimming all the way there and back, which will cost valuable time.
We choose Shii Ann to sit out - but should we have picked Penny instead?
She tagged out, and the lead we had now moves over to Chuay Gahn, but we
get it back.
It's now down to the last person - our last person is Stephanie - and she
redeems herself by beating out Clay in the last second. We get the
immunity idol for the second straight week. Yay! Now if we can only stop
bickering...
