June 18, 2003
Imagine, for a moment, while you are on your chair, surfing online, going to sites like this one, that you would have an opportunity to be on the very reality show that you are currently watching. That is the premise for Fox's latest experiment. Paradise Hotel features 11 people, and the premise is a simple one - if you hook up, you stay on. If you find no one to hook up with, then you leave, and someone else takes your place - someone like.....well....you. Yeah, you, the one watching the show with a Miller in your hand, and the one who is reading this.

Now you could be thinking the way that most people would be thinking - 'Cool, here's a way to get on tv and get my 15 minutes of fame.' I'm thinking 2 things. 1. 'There's no way they would let a schlub like me on TV, so there has to be a catch.' and 2. 'Great, it's Love Cruise in a hotel'.

(Don't know what Love Cruise is? Well, we covered it. Check it out by clicking here.)

So we start off with an introduction to the current ladies who enter the hotel.

Kristin - a 23 year old blonde leggy stylist - 'If you think that you're good looking, then I wont look at you at all.' Not one to meet people.

Charla - 21 year old waitress who may seem intimidating.

Amy - a pudgy 21 year old dental assistant. SHe's a tom boy and a homecoming queen - could that help her?

Melanie - a 31 year old importer 'I don't know what Im getting myself into.' You will soon Melanie...

Amanda - a 22 year old resort concierge. She's very chic and she seems to have the savvy edge in terms of looks. Can she find any savvy guys?

Toni - a 28 year old full-bodied fitness instructor. Toni??? The Toni from LOVE CRUISE???? YES, THAT TONI!!!! She has attitude that will last for as long as she is on the show. She is a total witch, and one of my favorites from Love Cruise. She lasted a long time on the show, and I expect her to last here, too.

(Now I bet that you're really wondering what Love Cruise is - and what exactly Toni did while she was out there. Check it out by clicking here.)

While the girls get to know each other, let's get to know the guys -

Alex - a 21 year old student. He uses his looks to his advantage. 'Who wouldn't?'

Beau - a 22 year old Radio DJ. 'You've got to want them wanting you. I'll show them the previews, and the movie will come later.' He's either going to be one of the guys that the girls will be swooning after - or one of the guys who will be making a very quick exit.

Zack - a 24 year old personal trainer. He likes to steal women if they are not in a serious relationship. He should do well here.

Scott - a 3 year old stock day trader. He doesn't want to show off - just be himself -= will that be good enough?

Andon - a 26 year old Graphic Designer. He moved from mohawk wearer to preppy guy. 'When it comes to women and what makes them tick - I think no one really knows that.' I don't know about this guy...

The guys meet up - and instead of bonding, they are sizing each other up - they are away from the girls - but all of the women walk in at the same time. Let's see - we got 6 woman and 5 guys. According to my math, unless the hotel allows same gender hooking-up, one of the ladies will be gone at the end of the first week.

We get to see first reactions - it looks like Toni, Beau, Andon and Amy are having the upper hand in terms of hooking up, but let's see how they all act when they are at the pool. Toni and Andon compare tattoos, while the other women compare who has the best bodies. Toni notices that Andon likes to move around from woman to woman 'Andon's a bit of a bad boy', and she is surveying that she is the odd woman out for now. But I know Toni - and she's not going to let that happen that easily - or at all.

We get to one of our early pivotal moments in the show - it's time to check into rooms for the week. We have 6 rooms - and 11 people. Some poor woman is not getting a male partner to share her room with. The ladies get to pick a guy. If she is the only person to get a guy, then she shares the room with the gyu that she picked. If more than one woman picks the same guy, than the guy chooses who he'll be sharing the room with. The woman who is all by herself to start better find a guy to populate her room with, or she's the first person out of the hotel.

Round 1 selections - Kristin picks Alex (who she's bonded with), Charla picks Beau (who Amanda wants), Toni wants to go with Andon, Melanie went with Scott (for bonding purposes), Amy goes with Zack (as they have been bonding, too). Since all of the women picked up a different guy, Amanda is the person who has to go into battle, and everyone thinks that Amanda will go against Charla for Beau. Everyone is right - so we have 4 automatic couples. Beau has to pick who he wants to be with - and who will be staying by herself for the week. Beau selects Amanda, and Charla's early move to get rid of Amanda temporarily backfires. Inorder to stay in th hotel, Charla has to break up one of the couples of Kristin/Alex, Charla/Beau, Amy/Zack, Amanda/Beau or Toni/Andon.

Charla wastes no time and goes after Zack - who admits that he is disappointed with the fact that he's with Amy. Toni tries to help with Charla - and she finds out that she talks to Andon the most - that's not good for Toni - and even worse when Charla waves Toni off. Charla is also annoying Beau - and Amanda, when she goos to speak to Beau again. Toni realizes that Charla is making a move against her, and she is making a strategy against that. Message to Charla, trying to go up against a Relationship Show veteran is not a good way to extend your life in Paradise Hotel.

We get to see everyone check into the house - and Charla is being bitchy to the help, who unpacked her stuff for her. Everyone else is blown away, as we see Toni and Andon wrestle on the bed, Amanda trying unsuccessfully to get away from sleeping with Beau, but Alex and Kristin, Scott and Melanie, and Amy and Zack successfully sleeping in separate beds. Toni and Andon cuddle together, and Amy convinces Zack to stay in the same bed. As for the result, Amy and Zack wind up doing the horizontal macarena. 'I'm not saying it wasn't awesome, but...' Amy - 'Then don't say anything.' BOth Amy and Zack promise each other thay they won't tell anyone about what they did. Ooooh La la.

And it's not the morning after - and the girls and guys are comparing notes - much to a dismayed Charla, who is not looking like a happy camper. The guys think that Beau is already married to Amanda 'You are going to have 2 kids and be divorced in 2 days' jokes Andon. Andon finds out from Zack that he's not thrilled with Amy and Toni finds out from Amy that she's not thrilled with Zack. Hmmmmmmmmm.....

Toni is talking to Amanda - and this is what made Toni so powerful in Love Cruise - the fact that she can talk to everyone and see what's ticking. She is working her magic again - and so is Andon, who finds out from Zack that he did the horizontal macarena with Amy, but ,'No cuddling - we just kicked it.' Andon and Toni themselves are talking like bother and sister. Meanwhile, Melanie is trying to steer Charla towards Andon, telling Charla to be more flirty and naughty. But Charla is going after the wrong person - the real person to go after is Zack, who is not happy with Amy after the boinking.

Will Charla wake up and go after Zack? Will Andon pick Charla over Toni? Will Amy be the odd woman out? Or will another woman get caught and sent out? And what's my take on this?

Well as far as my take is concerned, you can find that out now. This is a big televised hook-up meat market, or as it is said in slang, a pig boink (boink, of course, being substituted or a cruder 4 letter work). Here are the more important 3 questions to answer - will the public sit through this? How will they react when they find out that only the beautiful people get into the hotel? Will the ratings show that the audience will watch this twice a week?

If they do, then we'll see if Love Cruise, Version 2.0 will fare better then it's predecessor. If not, then check out time may be in late July.

June 23, 2003
'You may be surrounded by beauty - but there's some evil stuff that will be coming out soon.' That was Toni's warning to Amy, as this episodes start - and as one of the ladies see their stay in the hotel end here.

Before we go to the hotel, we will be starting in Los Angeles, home of the pretty people - and it's from thgis audience where someone will be going into the hotel. This means that For all you people that want to be comgn in fomr, oh, say, Chicago, or anywhere else, tough luck.

Last time we checked out the couples, Beau and Amanda were THE hot couple, and Charla was the odd woman out. We start with Charla looking to try to stay in the hotel - with not much success. Andon says that he will try to get her to stay - but he's not giving up Toni. That seems to be the common there, and Charla needs to do more than what she's doing to stay in.

7pm - and Melanie wants to do a butt check. The girls think that it's a good idea and the guys are more than willing to comply. Scott wins third, Andon wins second and Zack has the best booty. Amy (Zack's current interest) should be proud - but as we find out, current is the main word around here...

'I would not be surprised if everyperson does not like me' laments Charla, but she is not doing herself any favors when she says 'These are men who are 16 year olds who act like retards.' Also belonging in the 'Not doing himself any favors' early section is Beau, who after his hot start with Amanda, tells her that he may want to look for another person. Amanda's response? 'That pisses me off like you have no idea.'

Someone who does have an idea is Charla, and she does finally get someone into her room - ZACK. The door knocks in Charla's room, and Zack has to run in the closet. Coming in to meet Charla? Andon! Does this spell a problem for Toni? It could, because she tells Charla that Toni and himself are not a couple, so to speak. Hmmmmmmm....Andon is also he's here to tell her that she's a hottie - and that he'd want to see Melanie leave. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

For the next morning, Charla get to picks a dream date with the guys. The gy that gets selected has to go out on the date - and they can't say no. Charla chose Andon - and Toni is pissed off. 'I feel like I got stabbed with a knife'. That could spell bad news for Toni - or Charla, as she has to come back to a pissed Toni.

While they are out on their date, Charla and Andon snorkel on a big boat. Other couples are gasping for air. Amy and Zack have a breakdown, as their sex, apparently wasn't that good. Toni is worried about Charla is hooking up with Andon. She doesn't have to - Charla gets sick on the boat, and while she's puking on the beach, she asks Andon to tub her back. The problem is that she diesn't call him Andon - she calls him Alex. Oops. That turns Andon off, and Charla obviously has no interest in him, as she calls him immaature. Uh, Charla, you are supposed to be immature on the island. If the check-out policy is the same as the coupling policy, Charla is so gone right now that she may as well pack her bags.

And speaking of which, everyone gets a letter that says that it's time to pack. Charla continues to play the role of Ms. Bitch - 'They unpacked my crap, they may as well pack it.' Charla has a heart-to-heart with Scott, who tells her that she will be alright. Charla's ears prick up when she hears that. Is there a problem with Scott and Melanie that no one knows about?

'Unfortunately, it is time to say good-bye to somebody.' We are now selecting people for the next time around - and there is a little twist this time. As a public service reminder, we are told that the rules of the game can change any time (ie. if things start to suck or get predictable, us TV show people can shake things up to make it more interesting). 'Nobody leaves Paradise Hotel without having a roommate.' Here's how this part works - Charla will be picking out a guy - and this time around, no other girl can go after whoever Charla picks. So whomever Charla picks will automatically be an item, and the other women will have to scramble and fight against each other for the remaining guys.

This rule, of course, helps out Charla - but now it also helps out Toni, because we all know that Charla, based on her boating date, will not go after Andon. The top 3 choices would be Zack (who was hiding in her closet), Alex (who she accidentally called Andon) or Scott (who did seem to make a little move at her right before the checking out segment). The fact that he did that, added to Andon's desire to get rid of Melanie, does indeed persuade Charla to select Scott. Melanie looks pissed, and Scott looks like he is wondering why he opened his mouth in the first place.

This spells disaster for Melanie. She needs to now pick someone who she thinks can be taken out - and there actually are a few women who are vulnerable. Toni stays with Andon, Amy, despite blowing up at Zack, stays with him, Kristin keeps Alex and Amanda sticks around with Beau. Melanie is up last, and she can't make up her mind. If she was thinking, she would have gone after anyone except the person that she did select - Beau, who may have been looking to mingle, but certainly not at the expense of Amanda. Beau doesn't make any speeches and quickly selects Amanda, which makes Melanie the first victim of Paradise Hotel.

Toni is upset, as is everyone else - and if Charla didn't think that everyone was mad at her before, she does now. Charla is going to have to do some MAJOR hooking up to stay in the hotel.

And maybe she can find it with one of the new people who will be coming in, as we are coming beck to Los Angeles. The producers have 'narrowed' the selection down to 2 people. So I guess someone getting in is a producer's decision, eh? Well, so much for the average schlumpy Joe trying to get into the hotel.

Tom Rodriguez is a 23 year old bartender from Toms River, NJ (read - ACTOR). He talks about his doge. He says that none of them are much competition - and he says that he can take any girl that he wants. Well, I can see why the producers chose him.

The other hopeful to get in is Dave Carpin, who is a transplanted Brooklynite turned marketer currently residing in Massachusetts. He is the 'average' guy who lost 69 pounds and it's his turn to do something cool. 'I've gotten the looks of an average guy, and the personality of a winner.' They both seem like losers to me.

The people on the Island get to ask the questions - and vote on - the person who gets to come into the hotel next. Tom shakes his butt for the audience, while Dave specifically wanted to stop at 69 pounds. Beau challenges Tom's manhood, and when that happens, the guys go right after him 'Tom, you say you like to take drunk girls home - is that the only way that you can get them home?' Tom's response to Zack - 'I wasn't a person that could hide in the closet like a little baby.' Tom comtinues to taunt the guys on the hotel - and you can even hear Toni say 'You're done.'

The women are obviously more interested in guys who can bring fun than guys who will be a threat to the current male population. Dave is truly a winner, as he gets selected by the women.

ONe personal annoyance - the show was obviously taped before the premiere of the Wednesday episode. So we see signs from people in the crowd - Signs? On e premiere episode that you don't know who is in the hotel? How phony and lame is that?

So Melanie checks out, Dave checks in, and one of those confident guys who are still in the hotel will be feeling a little less comfortable on Wednesday.

June 25, 2003
History has been made on Monday as our first schlub, David, makes his way into the hotel of supermodels, studs, and...Toni. How will David do in this environment? Will he fit, or will he be like a schlub amongst models?

As the new guy, Dave gets to pick the girl that he wants to room with for the week - the girls seem eager, while the guys seem very apprehensive. We first see Dave - and he indeed looks like a dorky schlub with a big nose. He promises honesty 'I will go on record stating that I will not be making an ass out of myself.' We'll hold you to your word, Dave.

The guys think that he could be hooking up with Amanda or Amy. If Charla was smart, she needs to make sure that he hooks up with her - especially when Toni comes out and verbally bitch-slaps her around, saying that she's driving everyone nuts and that Toni can't protect her anymore. Ouch. 'I've had it. I'm done.'Amy goes and tells Charla the same thing - 'These friendships and relationship are real, and I don't think that you understand that.'

Meanwhile, Dave is being taken around the hotel, while Beau and Amanda are planning strategy - Amanda says to Beau that she will try to have Dave pick him so that he's safe. Charla has already planned her own strategy - and has told Dave that she wants to hook up with him. Dave turns around and says that he's totally in love with her. Folks, I think we have a winner. Charla then spill her guts to Dave and tells him about all of the stuff going on in the house. Dave tells her that the person that he rooms with tonight is not the person that he wants to room with for the week. That's not a wise strategy, Dave. It's even less wise when he starts saying that to other women on the group. If the women decide to talk to each other...

The new guy comes out - and he's ready to go swimming. The problem is...well....I'll let him tell you. 'I have man boobs!.' Toni can kick his butt. Actually, my third grade teacher, who is now probably around 60, can kick his butt.

After Dave gets escorted into the room later on this evening, he is able to decide who he gets to room in with - and who gets to be the person sitting outside in the lonely room. The person who Dave chooses.....is.....Amanda. That's probably the one person that everyone was shocked, but Beau and Amanda is cool about it. Dave tries to apologize but Beau is cool - especially now that he should have the exemption. As for Andon's reaction? 'He's either way smarter than us, or he has bigger balls than us.' Scott adds 'Or he's a lot stupider and we'll find out soon.'

Dave asks how many guys Amanda has hooked up with here 'One - and it's only going to be one' is her answer, and Dave may have realized the mistake that he has made. I don't think he's realized it just yet...

Dave continues to put his foot in his mouth - he gets into Scott's business by dominating the conversation over his occupation, while he asks the women how long they have had sex for. All of a sudden, we hear thunder. 'It rains when Dave comes here.' He asks Amanda about sex, and she gets up from the table. He seems to have this effect on everyone and Beau and Toni are already planning on getting rid of Dave on Monday.

Dave asks Charla for her opinion. and she puts it politely. 'I don't think they expected you to be this aggressive.' But she decides to manipulate the outcome 'I think that they expect you to be more of a pushover'. Well, not exactly. Andon comes to give Dave advice - 'I think the best way to look at this situation is that you're in jail.'

Dave continues to annoy everyone. As he helps Beau move, Amanda, who is now stuck with Dave, is wishing that she is in the alone room and that Dave and Beau are rooming with each other instead. Beau tries to be the nice guy here, but Amanda wants none of this and she may want to sleep right next to the pool.

Before we go to bed, we have a nighttime activity = Pandora's Box. Each person writes a question that they want someone else to answer. This is another trick used from Love Cruise, so let's play along. Beau was asked if he couldn't choose Amanda, who would he choose? Beau says Amy, because she's fun. Harmless enough.

Kristin - Why are you teasing Alex instead of hooking up? 'I don't think anyone is teasing...' which is being interrupted by a buzzer from the guys. She does admit to flirting - but she wants someone else to make the first move. Alex says that Kristin falls asleep when they get into bed. Touche'.

Question to Amanda - would you ever cheat on Beau while she was in the hotel? Amanda says that she would keep the other person happy - and that if she was in a relationship with him, she wouldn't. IF she was in a relationship? Wha? Beau translates that into 'If a man doesn't make me happy, I'll cheat on him'. That doesn't make Beau a happy camper, and that may spell trouble down the line. Amy tells Amanda that she better fix this before it gets broken any more. It's getting more broken. 'I don't look at her the same, because it says a lot about her character, and that's it.'

We have another trip planned for Dave - he can pick 2 women to go out with. He chooses Charla and Amy - and they all get to go out shopping! The women are excited - I'm guessing Dave isn't as excited. He gets excited when he take them both out for a Dave - but Zack isn't as glad, because he's worried that Amy would fall for him. Zack doesn't have to worry - but he does, and his sense of insecurity skewers his evening with Amy. Meanwhile, Andon is having insecurities that something bad will happen to him. 'Everyone's been having bad dreams about me since that Dave dude showed up.' Talk about male nervosa.

Before bedtime, Toni proposes a toast - and Dave wants to make sure that Charla is still with the plan. All of the other guy are getting very nervous - and so is Toni, who doesn't want to see any of the old guys leave. Charla feels that no one likes her, which is true - but no one likes Dave either - and Dave thinks that Charla doesn't like him - especially when he sees Andon massaging and getting a booty call from Charla. Oops. They walk down to Dave - and as he says that he wants to throw down with Andon, he looks like he's going to throw up. Meanwhile, someone will be getting thrown out of the hotel next week, We'll see who will be getting in the final throes of this situation on Monday.

June 30, 2003
Last time we left the HOtellers, the women were getting nasty to Charla, and the men were getting nervous - especially since one of them is going bye-bye tonight. Dave, however, is not nervous - if Charla keeps her end of the deal. Will Beau recouple with Amanda? What about Amy and Zack? Andon and Toni? and who will be the first guy to check out - or more importantly - what luscious babe will be checking in?

Charla is playing strategy - she knows that she is gone next week unless she finds someone solid. She also knows that Dave is toast unless she picks him - and although she is not sure if she could manage to stay with Dave for a week (and after the week with Dave, who would?), she doesn't want to leave. Politics make strange bedfellows...meanwhile, Dave knows that he has to be with Charla, and if he's not coupling with her, he's screwed. 'I could be going home tomorrow because of this crap...this is the story of my life...I work hard with a beautiful girl, and I wind up the sucker.' Try stop asking the women about how often they have sex, Dave - and take better care of your feet. '(Dave's) feet are all messed up' complains Charla. Well, if you want the thrill of victory, sometimes you need to deal with de agony of de feet. Bwa ha ha ha ha

Well, here come those letters, which means that it's time to get rid of a guy. Andon hates going through this - and Toni is consoling him. Well, assuming Andon has any brains in his head, he's not going anywhere - but Scott (who Charla was with last week) could be in trouble - as could Beau (on the rocks with Amanda) or Zack (on the rocks with Amy). And if Andon decides to have his brains leave his body and select Charla, then he could be in trouble, too. 'What's meant to be is what's meant to be.' mutters Andon, as he sits on the pool.

Beau may want to room with Amanda again, but the love is over and Beau doesn't know if Amanda could just be friends. Amanda didn't think that she would be dating Beau. Beau, this week, happens to be the outsider - but as the outsider, he cannot get voted off. And here's another twist - the guys can not stay with the same person as last week.

Now Beau gets to choose first - and if he was smart, he would have picked Charla. That would have spelled game over for Dave, as none of the women would have picked him. He instead does the dumbest thing in the world and picks Amy. Why? Because he just wanted to be friends with Amanda. Well, Beau, your idiocy will cost a veteran their spot.

Zack can't pick Amy, so he goes and picks Toni. Dave cannot pick Amanda, so he goes and does the predictable thing - he selects Charla. No surprise there. They are both outsiders - and Dave realizes that. Charla is not happy about that - and she dreads Dave's feet. Scott can't stay with Charla (not that he'd want to) and he also decides to hang out with Toni, who is an emotional stressball as it is - now she has to make a decision. Alex can't stay with Kristin, so he decides to also hang out with Toni. Alex's reasoning? He's is closer to her than the other girls. Toni's reaction? 'I really want to throw up.'

The last person to go is Andon - and he decides to make life miserable for everyone except the outsiders by going with Amy. So Toni has to choose between Scott, Alex and Zack. Amy has to choose between Beau and Andon, Kristin and Amanda don't have anyone to room with, and Charla is stuck with Dave and his stinky feet.

Amy, who's crying, decides to pick Beau, which brings Andon back out to the dating pool. She is sobbing and Beau brings her to the couch. If Amy was crying, then Toni is blubbering like a whale. 'I'm gonna need some strength, I'm gonna need some help, and I'm gonna need my friends.' with that said, Toni picks Alex - but the person who she really wants to stay - Andon - is still twisting in the wind.

Scott picks Kristin and Zack picks Amanda. Andon...selects Amanda, and now Amanda is in the tough decision corner. As for Kristin? 'I feel glad that I don't have to make any decisions.' Scott is glad too - so he and Kristin is now a couple.

So either Andon or Zack will be leaving the hotel - and Amanda gets to make the decision. Does she help out her friend Toni and keep Andon? Or does she help out Amy and save Zack? 'I don't feel that you and me got to talk as much as I wanted to.' says Amanda, and with that, she picks Zack. 'I knew that Amanda still has feelings for Beau - I knew that she was going to pick Zack, because Beau and Zack are very tight.' Andon's quest to go after Charla and Amy backfires in the ultimate way, as he could have stayed on if he was smart and played the game but he wasn't and out he goes.

So the brain-depleted Andon is gone, but we have women going on and the first one is Desiree Boyd, a 24 year old fitness instructor. Well, helloooo, Toni. She is...shall we say...nice and full-bodied, but she won't say who she wants to massage. Hmmmm...

Her opponent is a 23 year old spokesmodel called Kavita Shinay. Surrrre, these are real people. Suuuuuuuure. She thinks that she has a problem that her butt is too big. 'I am very anal about my butt.' THAT is the quote of the night.

Cavita shows off her butt and is into sex on the beach, while Kristen is into deep butt massages and asks Kristin what she will do if she steals her man. Sounds like fighting words. So does this 'I want to be the hot fudge Sundae that cools you down.'

This seems like a slam dunk for Kristin - but it's Kavita that gets the next ticket in. Note to the people who want to get in - the meek people get in - the people who want to bust things up and steal their man/woman/dog, etc, are perceived a threat and they will not get selected by the men.

And speaking of threats, we'll see what woman is in the biggest positioned to be threatened to leave the joint on Wednesday's episode.

July 2, 2003
The new quote to start the episode comes from Charla - 'Don't trust anybody.' Ironically, she is the only one worth trusting as she and Dave were an item. As for everyone else - well, it was a mess as the women had to pick, which left Andon without a seat.

With Andon out, Kavita comes in. She looks VERY scary on the intro board - almost as scary as Dave looks dorky. Kavita also gets to break up one of the couples on the coupling ceremony. 'She sounds like a fun girl - sounds like Amanda!' that comes from Beau, and Amanda may be second guessing her alliance with Beau. Meanwhile, Dave is certani that he won't be [picked by Kavita - but he is reminded that he can be picked.

The rest of the incumbents decide to have a kissing contest, and Amanda, as can be expected, just gives everyone a little peck and goes to bed. Toni is the reverse Amanda and goes nutds on everyone - except Dave, who winds up staring. Charla does the same thing - which should upset Dave, since he's the one who's rooming with Charla. Kristin gets down and dirty with Scott, while Toni gets seconds with Alex. Dave finally gets some - with Kristin - until Toni points it out. 'Ok, on that note...'says Kristen, as she then retreats.

Toni playwrestles Amy to the ground, and she gives Amy a little smooch. Now she did this womanly stuff in Love Cruise - and Zack sees it and goes nuts. Amy also tells Zack that she pecked Alex too, and that really pisses Zack off, and he retires for the evening.

Dave has also retired for the evening, and while that's going on, Charla goes into Scott's room, but Scott wants none of it. Charla - 'What if I'm gone when you come back?' Scott - 'Perfect.' Charla - 'Really?' 'Scott - 'Yeah' Ouch.

There is someone who wants some of Charla though - Dave. They are sleeping in seperate beds, and Dave is trying to console Charla. 'If I remain here, than I'll be very proud of myself.' Dave is picking strategy, but neither of them can find anyone besides themselves and you may as well write 'OUTCAST COUPLE' on their door. We'll see what happens there later on in the episode.

Meanwhile, Zack tries to make a play at Amanda, and she turns him down. She tells Amy that it happened, and the sparks continue to fly. Zack denies it, but Amanda sticks to her story - and the video backs her up. Amy decides to stick with Zack's side of the story - for now.

With all of this going on, we haven't even met Kavita yet - but now we have. She seems nice enough - but she will be breaking up one of the couples. Alex and Zack showed Kavita the singles room first 0 then tell her that they will never be in there for the duration of the trip. Someone who doesn't mind? Zack. 'I don't like the inconsistencies with Amanda.'

Beau doesn't mind either, since he still is pining for Amanda, who would be available. Alex knows it - and Beau accuses him of manipulating Amanda against him. Beau digs at him and walks away - and Alex goes after him and words ensue. The women come to hear this, and Amanda is having second thoughts about leaving Beau, while Kristin is having second thoughts about keeping Zack in the hotel.

A visibly upset Amanda gets consoled by Toni and Kavita, while Amanda turns around and says that she is dropping relations with both Beau and Alex. Alex then walks away from Beau and asks Scott and Kristin for advice. Their advice is simple - Amanda is dividing up their friendship, and they both have to talk to Amanda. This is not good for Amanda, especially since that a woman will be leaving this week.

Alex confronts Amanda, who tells him that she's pissed that Beau gets jealous that when she flirts around, yet she can't do it. It's Beau's turn to confront Amanda, and Beau is to hung up on Amanda to think rationally. 'We are thinking on 2 different levels of consciousness.'

Meanwhile, let's not forget the importance of Kavita's decision - and just to make things even more interesting, she selects the couple of Zack and Amanda to break up. 'I'm used to controversy by now' says Amanda, which elicits groans for the rest of the guys. That also does not make Amy a happy camper, sincs she now has to worry about the new woman in her room. 'I thought you were leaving' says Zack, who is more than happy to escort Amanda out of his room.

Kavita and Zack stay seperated the first night, while Beau and Amy share a 'roommate' hug. Suuuuuure - lets see how long THAT stays as roommates. Zack can't sleep all night - and he tries to make a weak-assed pass to Kavita - which doesn't work. He's still stuck on Amy.

Nreakfast time - and an envelope is served. It's time for the return of Pandora's Box. Sure - like they need THAT thing to come up again. The first question is to Scott - why hasn't he hooked up with anyone is Paradise? He says that he's not that type of person. Someone wants to know if Dave's hooked up with Charla. Dave hasn't - and it turns out they haven't even kissed. Meanwhile, someone wants to know why Charla has said bad things about Dave behind his back. She says that she doesn't like to touch him. That's nice, Charla. Charla says that she'll be more honest.

Dave looks like he's going to cry and he confronts Charla in the room. Meanwhile, Beau and Zack are listening outside - and Dave catches Zack. Back to the original conversation, Dave feels embarassed and Charla tries to console him, but it doesn't look like it's going to work and I see Charla in deep deep trouble next week.

The trouble gets even deeper when Charla blabs to Kavita ('He should be happy that he's in bed with a girl') about Dave behind her back - and Dave spills his guts to Scott. Zack tries to get to know Kavita better - and he's blowing off Amy. A very hurt Amy goes over to Toni, who gives Amy good advice 'Zack has never been in a relationship...he's juggling right now and he doesn't know how to show it...you can't push him.'

Amy decides to confront Zack - and he tells Amy why he doesn't trust - his mom left him at a grocery store. 'Why don't you talk to me and get to know me?' That was the big thing, and Amy comes over to apologize to Zack. He accepts and they embrace. AwwwwwwBarf.

That seems to clear up the problem between Amy and Zack - and that probably spells curtains to Charla, unless she can figure out a way to weasel her way into a relationship. It wouldn't be the first time - so we'll see if she can find someone who has better feet - or her boots will be walking right out the door - with her in them.

July 7, 2003
Answer me this - how can this be for the whole summer when the last episode is tentatively set for August 4? That means that there is only 4 weeks left - and 4 evictions left. That's one surprise - Zack moving in on the ladies is another - and one lady who's leaving tonight will be very surprised.

'I have absolutely not done anything with Charla - nothing.' says Dave, who is doing his best Bill Clinton impersonation. The men - A. don't buy it, B. don't care and C. don't really give a rat's bhind, because they are the outcasts. Tf they ever have to switch partners, they are screwed. Charla still pulls Dave over to remind him this, and Dave, like a good lap dog, complies.

Amanda has the choice to take someone with her to go on a beach vacation. The women think that she's going to pick Scott or Beau, while Charla offers Dave to Kavita. Nice, Charla. Amanda does pick Beau, and Dave, who finds about what Charla did, goes over to have more words with her. They already sound like a married couple.

Meanwhile, it seems like Amanda and Beau are rekindling their romance that they had earlier on in the show. Dave. meanwhile, tells the guys that he's had enough of Charla and that it's over. We'll see how over it is when she's the only one to come anywhere near your big feet, Dave. What Charla doesn't know is that Dave has already have designs to get rid of her - with Kavita. Instead of trying to hook up with him, though, Kavita thinks that Toni, who had to decide to 3 men, will be vulnerable to her.

Kavita already looks as dumb as a box of rocks - and she gets into it with her partner - Zack, who points it out. 'You sound dumb and you sound cocky - don't piss me off.' Well, I guess that that's one guy that Kavita is not going to room with, and Amy is looking very good right now - especially when Zack is venting about Kavita all the way to Amy's room. Zack tries to make up with Kavita, but she's not buying what Zack is selling and Kavita goes to bed. Zack decides to go into Beau and Amy's room and sleep there.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the island, Dave and Scott challenge each other to a game of tennis. The loser has to dress up in the winer's roommates clothes and wear it to dnner - in short, it's Drag Tennis Time! At around the three-quarter mark, the group comes down to see Dave handing Scott's butt to him for dinner - or should I say Dave handing Charla's dress to him. Scott's reply? 'I was told that I look good in black...I look good in heels.

While Scott is dressing up, Beau and Amanda talk strategy - and who to pick. Charla and Amy do the same. Beau talks to Dave - and he's in to keep Amy over Charla - and Charla overhears this. Oops. Charla understands the scenario - and Dave realizes that if he doesn't pick Amy, it could be curtains for him - but if he does, it's almost certainly curtains for Charla.

Scott is dressing up - and like Dave, he now has boobies. He goes to toast everyone - and one woman will be feeling like a booby. It's time for the coupling - and this week, the ladies can choose anyone who they want - so that means that Amanda's strategy will hold. Amanda chooses Beau, which is no surprise, but Amy chooses Alex - which is a surprise, and that shocks Zack. Toni quickly chooses Scott - who she rejected last week - but she said that she promised Scott that she would hang out with him, regardless of the consequences. Kristen pivots over to Zack, and Charla starts to move to Beau, which shocks everyone, but she moves to Dave - to no one's surprise.

This leaves a very interesting dilemma for Kavita, who has to try to break up one of the long-standing couples. What makes it worse is that she hasn't really had a relationship for any of the guys - as you can tell, this recap doesn't really have her hooking up with anyone. Kavita chooses Scott - which I guess is an OK strategy, since Toni did dump him - but Scott isn't going to dump Toni. He keeps her, and Kavita, only after a week, is gone - which seems to be ok, since it didn't seem like she did anything in the house anyways, besides piss Zack off.

But with her departure means that we get to send another guy in the house. We get to open up old wounds though - Amanda is still sore about Alex and Zach, and Dave is happy with his kiss from Kristin. The 2 guys that we have for this time around are Matthew Jacey (a 27 year old musician from Dallas) and Brian Krauss (a 24 year old reat estater from Atlanta).

Matthew challenges Dave to an athletic competition, while Brian says that unlike Dave, he can hold his liquor. Apparently, everyone wants to knock Dave out of the box. Poor Dave. Matthew sings a song, while Brian says that he shaves himself - too much info, Brian. Matt does a John Travolta/Vinnie Barbarino impersonation, while Brian accuses Zack and Dave of having no personality.

As we all know, that sort of talk will NOT get you int othe hotel - but doing kooky impersontions will. Mattheww gets into the hotel easily, and that could spell trouble for Dave. What spells trouble for Amanda is when a man from her past enters the hotel....oooooooooooohhhhhh.....

July 9, 2003
Since we have no American Juniors this week, we get a week's worth of fun crammed into 90 minutes of creamy goodness. Or in the case of Amanda, bitter badness. We'll get to that aspect of the show later on...is it me, or does Dave look hysterically out of place in the opening promo?

For now, let's start with a recap of what's happened so far - and a new surprise - only one couple from Paradise Hotel will remain on the show - and will win the grand prize. Well, if the last show is in August, the eliminations better happen quickly.

The women start talking about why they picked Matt over Brian - and they thought that Matt was the better choice because they didn't like Brian's attitude. The guys were ok with the selection, because he seemed nice - even though he's a rocker. 'I am amazed that you girls find that guy attractive.' says Zack, who is feeling a little insecure - especially since it's the guys turn for one of their own to go bye-bye.

In the continuation of being reflective, Toni likes Dave's man-boobs, while Dave, who is now very oversensitive about that, is sick of listening to Toni. He retires early, and Charla decide to have a talk with him. Dave wants to get voted off now and Charla wants to make sure that it doesn't happen - because she knows that her number is up if Dave leaves.

But we are not here to talk about anyone leaving - we are here to talk about Matt's arrival. He is welcomed by the ladies - and immediately looked upon with scorn by the guys - especially when Matt tells the guys that they are all having the same sort of hairstyle. Ouch. Matt has especially made an enemy with Zack (who Matt accuses f being a body-builder), and you can see that he's already plotting Matt's demise. Add Beau to that - since he is noticing that Amanda is spending a lot of time with Matt - maybe too much for Beau's taste. Here's how Amanda defends herself - 'I am not getting the attention that I deserve.' Don't worry, Amanda, you will be...

The guy's reaction to the girls? Amy and Amanda are cool, Charla is a player and Kristin is quiet. Nothing was said on Toni - is that a good or a bad thing? Matt makes up his mind - and after flattering all of the ladies, he picks Charla. That move seems to make everyone happy - except Dave, who, if he wasn't a wreck before, he is now. This is the first time that Dave gets to stay in the (man) booby room - and Dave needs to work to make sure that he doesn't stay there.

Charla is not the only person that Matt goes after - he starts talking to Toni as well, while Charla, who hasn't really met Matt yet, doesn't know who she'd prefer between him and Dave. Scott praises Charla for playing the game, while Dave, who's being sent out, is whimpering like a young hound dog.

Flashback to a previous episode - where Beau and Alex are getting heated about Amanda. Beau isn't going to back-stab someone to stay in Paradise - but Alex is starting to see Beau as a threat and is looking to play accordingly. He starts to make his play on Amanda, who admits that she doesn't like to sleep with Beau. Alex succeeds in sleeping in the same bed with Amanda, while Beau talks to Toni about his relationship. He leaves Toni to go to his room with Amanda - but unbeknownst to him, Amanda's bed is already occupied - with Alex. Alex, realizing that he will be slaughtered if he stays, leaves around 15 seconds before Beau gets there. There's a close call for you.

'I'll be a gentleman the first night.' Matt prommises Charla. Apparently, the party's just starting - Charla admits that she has made out with girls. 'I could just hug you for that.' says Matt. Well, from what he know about Toni, her and Charla and Matt may be having a fun time tonight. We get to see Dave snoring by himself, and we see why Charla is much happier with Matt. Much, much happier once she gets a nice massage and a cuddle in the bed. Dave may be in serious trouble.

The next morning, the women discuss the events of last night. Amanda wants Alex to pick him, while Toni is trying to rationalize this. Staying blatantly quiet is Charla and Kristen. Hmmmm...meanwhile, Matt and Dave were talking about Charla - and Dave lies about having slept with her twice. Way to piss of Charla even more, Dave. To top it off, he gets housed in paddleball by Matt and it's a good thing that there was no dragwear involved. The lightbulb is finally starting to go off in Dave's head that Matt is moving in on Charla - and he may want to change strategy here.

Matt's strategy is to have fun with all of the women, as he sets his sights next on - Amanda. Oh yeah, that's a bright move - go after the resident Ho. The ho, meanwhile, does not want a relationship right now - she's too busy having fun and since she got out of one right before coming to Paradise Hotel, she's enjoying what she's doing now in terms of hanging out with guys. I can't really argue that, can I?

Enough about Amanda- let's talk about Matt - or let's hear him play to Amanda and Beau. He sings 'The Unfinihed Song'. Star Search material, he ain't, but it's cute and Amanda likes it. Even Beau claps - a little. He lets Beau sing a song with lyrics and he's getting into it. Matt seems to have hit a nice chord with Beau - but that turns sour when HE spends time with Amanda. Beau comes in to see them hanging out in the bed - but not doing anything. Beau runs into the shower, which gives Matt enough time to kiss Amanda and scamper off. You think Beau is feeling a little insecure right now?

Also having security issues is Zack, who once again confronts Amy about his insecurity and no one getting to know him. He rants on Toni, and...well, he wants to rant on everyone - and he yells at Amy. But this time around, he's venting to Amy, not at her. Zack vents some more about his mom abandoning him with Beau and Kristin - and Kristin breaks down and cries. AwwwwwBarf.

Once again, it's time to play Pandora's Box. Someone wants to know who Dave wants to send home. He plays diplomatic, saying Scott and Charla, because those are the people that he knows the best. Matt is asked who's the most trust-worthy - and he says Toni. Someone wants to know why Toni isn't getting along with Amanda - and she says that she didn't like her behavior, but it's nothing serious. Kristing was asked who is the most and least trustworthy. She says that Amy and Toni is the most trustworthy, while Amanda is the least trustworhty. Since none of the women find her trusting, the Paradise Ho is living up to her moniker.

Question to Beau - why is he insecure? Beau says that he's more sitting back and analysing - and that actions speak louder than words. Amy wants to know how she feels about Zack - she think that Zack is one of the most amazing people that she's met in her own entire life. She wants to pursue a relationship - but maybe not at the hotel...hmmm....Alex is asked what he feels towards Amanda - and he says that he has a love/hate relationship with her. Final question - Amanda is asked why sheput him in a bad spot in this eviction - and Amanda says that she's not attracted to him anymore. OUCH. 'I think people are going to get hurt from here on out.' Beau has definately taken a note to this - and he's already confronted her - and Alex. Alex says that he apologizes for what he's done - and would do - but he's not going to stop. Him, Zack and Dave all leave the table, leaving Beau alone there. Beau is feeling very alone right now.

And the confrontations continue - as Beau talks to Amanda and Alex. Alex - 'I feel that I don't care about out relationship right now.' Beau - 'I feel right now that our friendship means nothing...but I was glad that I got to know you'. Alex - 'So do I'. Beau - 'No you don't you said that you don't care.' Kids, come up here right now, or no milk and cookies for you.

No one else may be feeling more alone than Amanda, though - as Amanda Byram the host once again announces that the island is full of surprises. We have a new one for Amanda - a man comes over and Zack knows be her reaction immediately. 'It's her ex-botyfriend!' The ex has a name - Jason. 'Ithought you'd be happy to see me.' he says, and she is. She jumps in his arms, cries, and says 'I love you.' THAT seems to change the atmosphere just a little bit. Beau is shocked - and so is the current love interest, Alex.

Jason will be the 'special' guest for the next 48 hours - and this should be a very interesting 2 days. Jason gets introduced to the hotel, but it seems like he has something else on his mind. 'So Beau, does this mean that you and Amanda are officially divorced?' jokes Matt - but he should know - he hung out and made out with Amanda (not to mention serenade her).

We find out that Amanda and Jason were together for a year and a half - and they broke up because she moved, so she's not officially 'over'him yet. She talks to Jason about her stay in the hotel - and that she has been uncomfortable staying with anyone else. Immdeiately, we've gotten flashbacks of her getting to be the Paradise Ho with half of the guys here - but we find out that the real reason why Jason is here is to take her out of the hotel - and she asks her to.

That ends the episode - and we know that on Monday, 2 guys will be leaving. Jason will be one, but we don't know who the other one will be. In addition, we could be needing another woman if Amanda decides to take Jason up on his offer. Add a few more twists, stir well, and we'll have a nice Monday daquiri that will leave more than a few people drunk.

July 16, 2003
I am back from Vegas - and there's nothing better than coming home and seeing that your VCR tape ran out on Monday, D'oh! We'll make this Monday recap short and sweet before we get to the Wednesday goodies.

We have more poeple blow up at each other - this time around, it's Toni and Beau. Ironicaly enough, it's Beau who needs Toni, as it winds down to him vs. Matt for Toni's affections. Toni selects Beau, which keeps him in the house and sends out the new person who just came in for the second straight week. The other couples are Krsitin/Alex, Amy/Zack, Charla/Scott and Amanda/Dave.

Meanwhile, Amanda decides to stay in the hotel and spurns her ex-boyfriend, Jason's advances. Tara is the new person who faces a very interesting decision - and it gets even more interesting, since Amanda Byram has thrown out another surprise - Tara cannot get voted out this week and one of the original 5 women will be going bye-bye.

The women plan their own strategy - which, in this case, is Toni going up to her room. Kristin and Amy are discussing that they will be nice to Tara, while Toni is talking about how dishonest Dave (who says that Toni's breasts are fake) is being.

Meanwhile, the guys have a bet with Dave - either kiss Tara on the lips for 3 seconds, or perform a lap dance with him - in his birthday suit - for Toni's birthday. I am sensing that Dave will not need much use of his clothing for the evening.

Tara comes - and all of the guys are impressed. 'She is the hottest guy o Paradise Hotel.' says Scott, while Amy and Kristin are going to make friends with Tara - to make sure that she does not steal their guy.

Here's Dave's first shot to go after Tara - and the guys are starting to feel sorry for him. But Dave is starting to get some points when Tara asks him who the guys would be better of without. Dave answers Amanda, and the plot to get rid of her has started. Dave is feeling good about himself - especially when Tara offers to hug him. But no kissing takes place and Dave's clothes are looking less apparent.

We see shenannigans from the players on Toni's birthday, which include Kristin saying that she hooked up with 4 people and Scott giving Toni a lap dance. Dave,. who realizes that time is running out, invites Tara out for a quick walk - but he really is inviting her to go into his room, where the guys are waiting for him to kiss Tara.

This goes just as well as any of Dave's attempt to woo a girl goes - badly. Dave - 'What did you think surprised you the most about me that you didn't expect?' Tara - 'Well, I sort of expected you to take off your shirt and show me your man-boobs.' Ouch.

Dave invites Tara over to his room, and now Tara is getting nervous. Dave should be getting nervous, for 2 reasons - 1, it's 11:55 pm, and 2. the women, who know what is going on, are going into Dave's room to see the ceremony. Dave makes on last play at Tara, but she thinks that Dave is a freak and she will now really get to see Dave's man-boobs.

Dave does take it all off - down to his boxers. He is about to show everyone his mini-boxers when Toni screams. Mercifully, Dave keeps his shorts on. In more silly escapades, Alex and Kristin jump in the pool, Charla and Scott hang out (but no sparks fly) and Toni is crying that she's 29. Beau says that Toni is beautiful and they start cuddling. Then Beau leaves Toni's room. Hmmmmmmm......

More strategy - this time with Dave, Tara and Charla, as they plan on Charla's survival and who Tara should block out. Scott and Zack are planning on project 'Terminate Her' - her being Amanda. Amy, Kristen and Toni are in on it, and Dave, Charla and Amanda are trying to figure out how to counteract it. The problem is that Amanda isn't listening - and she is going to pick Beau or Scott to coupld with - and both of them are the architects of Project Terminate-her.

But enough strategizing - time to go to the beach! There's a special surprise for Tara and Scott - a mud pit, that Tara challenged Scott do a mud wrestling contest with. Scott beats Tara - and the next match-up is Alex against Toni. Alex beats her, and Dave wants - and gets - his shot at her. Dave wins - but not before he grabs Toni's top - and that is a big mistake. 'I am going to nail him so hard.' vows Toni, and since there is a Pandora's box coming up, I am guessing that we get to see the fireworks coming up right...about...

After these questions - and after Tara talks to Toni, who admits that she is on the chopping block now that Tara can't go home. Pandora's Box time - and Beau says that David has been acting abnormal and untrustworthy. Tara is asked about her being rude - she feels that she wanted to sit back and watch how everyone was acting - but she didn't mean to be rude. Dave was asked that a reliable source said that he said that he was the smartest person. He says no - but Toni says that she was the reliable source. She accuses Dave of playing the game unfairly and that he hurt Scott and others - and that she's going to get him. 'I want you gone - if that means that I have to leave, I want you gone. Period.' The arguiing continues - and now a miffed Scott and Zack are against Dave. Dave tries to apologize, but he's looking real bad and we have our nominee for male most likely to go bye-bye.

Beau has the next question - 'Amanda, you are now taken (with Jason) Why should you still be playing this game?' Amanda says that she isn't married - but she says that she wants to be with Jason. Alex accused her of making a pass at him, and Amanda says that it was a joke, and that there's no reason for her to leave. 'I'm not ready to go.'

But this episode is ready to end. We'll see if Amanda is destined to be next or if she can somehow figure a way to get out of the mess that she is currently in on the next episode.

July 22, 2003
It's time to break up the team. We have had all 5 women on since day 1, and tonight, one of them has got to go. All signs point to Amanda - but Amanda, Charla and Tara may have an alignment going on, which leaves Toni, Kristin and Amy vulnerable.

Of course. the key to this is Tara, but the new guys have a bigger target - Dave. 'I believe Toni over Dave' say Beau, Zack and Scott. The girls, conversely, are planning their own strategy. 'I don't like to see people ganging up on people.' says Charla to Amanda and Tara, who see that everyone is going after Amanda. Tara is talking about going after Scott, which would send Amy home. Zack tells Tara to not feel bad about whoever she chooses - but Tara is worried about the repercussions. Zack tells Tara that no guy has a complaint against her, and that sends her - and Amy's wheels in motion.

Meanwhile, Toni is just kvetching - but she thinks that Tara is going after Amanda. Scott is talking to Charla, Amanda and Tara and saying that 'the twists and turns are here'.

While they are talking, Amy and Zack are having a pillow fight. Then the conversation turns real and Zack is wondering if all they have is physical. The women confront Amanda, and accuse her of playing every guy and being sneaky. Amanda turns around and accuses the women of being paranoid. They go back to her playing with Alex, Zack and Beau. Amy can't take any more of it and she leaves. 'I didn't lose a friend - you lose a great friend.' Amanda starts crying and this is another notch against her.

'That's why they can get along together - they both lie, they're both deceitful.' - that comes from Zack - and that's pointed towards Beay, who happens to walk in. They tell him that they want Amanda out - but Beau doesn't want to do that. 'I'm sticking by my word.' The guys call Beau a sucker, and Beau predicts that there will be a major twist tonight. Of course there will be...

And speaking of which, here come the personal invites to see one of the women go bye-bye. Tara is discussing strategy - and she says that the only person that she will not screw is Charla. Everyone else is fair game...

And speaking of fair game, he comes the new twist - Tara will not select first, but LAST. So Tara will directly be choosing who goes home. Now strategy really does come into play, because although Tara only is allied with Charla, if she picks Toni, Kristin OR Amy, the rest of the pack will be going after her, big-time. The only smart choice would be to send home Amanda, but will Tara be smart? Or will do Tara's bidding and make a huge mistake on her part?

Before we get to Tara, let's see the couples that she has to break up. Toni picks Scott 'If it means that I lose my position tonight, that means that I wasn't meant to be here.' Amanda, with a smirk on her face, also picks Scott because she enjoyed living with Scott. If she didn't show her true colors before, shhe did now. The only problem is that Scott was one of those people who thinks that Amanda was lying.

With the 2 women fighting over Scott, the decisions are easy - or are they? Amy decides to pick Alex - and that gets Zach concerned. 'There was a strategy to my plan - this game is all about trust.' Charla goes back to Dave - also for strategy reasons. Kristin swaps partners and she goes with Zach. Apparently, Amy and Kristin talked about strategy befrehand, so they knew that they would swap partners.

Once again, it's up to Scott to save Toni - and he will. 'My choice is based on what I've heard and what I've seen, and what others have heard and what they've seen.' Scott chooses Toni, which sends Amanda back to Beau.

This is obviously now a moot point, because it's now Tara's decision. The 'in' girls did make an excellent strategy though - by rotating around and not picking their real couple, Tara knows that if she chooses any of the three couples, the women will come back in 2 weeks and knock her out of that spot and out of the game. There are only 2 people she can choose from that she won't have that problem with - Charla and Amanda. Tara selects...Beau - which means that Amanda is going home.

You can see the instant reactions. Toni, Kristin and Amy circle around Zach and get in for a group hug. Charla and Dave are confused - especially since Charla thought that she, Tara and Amanda had a pact. That will be interesting to see if there will be an alliance between Beau, Dave and Charla. Hmmmmmm....

So besides the strategy, why did Tara get rid of Amanda? 'Of the 5 guys, I am most attracted to Beau, and I don't trust Amanda.' Amanda's parting words? 'You guys taught me a lot about people.' Beau is crying, but a happy Tara is there and more than happy to comfort him.

Tara is now gone - and it's time to get a guy into the hotel. The 2 choices are J Schiano, a 27 year old rapper from Miami who likes to box, and Keith Kuda, a 23 year old boxer turned model from Columbus, Ohio. Keith's choices would be Tara or Toni 'Why should we take you to Paradizzle if your going to take one of our girlies and kick one of us pimps to the curve, yo?' Asks blatantly white boy Dave. J just wants to party, while Keith wants to take out Beau.

The guys are picking no the model, and it's pretty obvious that if they had their choice, they would want J to come on board. It's not the men who decide though, it's the women - and although both guys want to come on board, the women decide that KEITH will be the person invited. Whoa. That surprised me - or maybe the women are playing strategy, because they may have figured out what I have - like Tara did, Keith will be sending one of the guys home.

So what's the strategy here? The women almost blew it this week when they all avoided Tara - and only the fact that Amanda was blatantly unsavory saved their bacon. Do not expect the men to make the same mistake. The men should ally with Keith and point them towards the person that they want to see gone - Dave. We'll see if they follow strategy tomorrow.

July 23, 2003
The ladies, and my favorite hotel occupant (Toni) are safe for the next 2 weeks. Now we focus on the guys - and the guy that my favorite hotel occupant wants out in the worst way is Dave.

But speaking of Toni, she was the tie-breaking vote on Jay and Keith - and she voted for Keith. She then admits that she voted for the wrong guy. Oops. 'Blame the whole thing on me and get it over with.' says Toni and she walks away from the table. 'Is this the third week in a row? are we going on a streak or something? I can't take this anymore.' says Zack, who's getting tired of her. Toni is turning into a drama queen. 'The Toni award goes to Toni' says Dave.

While everyone else is reacting to the fallout, Kristin confronts Toni, who says that she wants to go home. 'Don't let anyone hear you say that' says Kristin, who warns her that her wish may come true - whether she wants it to or not.

Meanwhile, not everything is going well anywhere else either. Zack and Amy are talking about who should be initiating what, and Zack is scared about Keith coming in. Charla is bitching about Zack to Dave, who thinks that she should be more trusting. Amy and Zack reconcile, and they go back to cuddling.

How much reconciling will there be when Kristin and Scott hook up? Scott says that there is no attraction between him and TOni - and him and Kristin hook up for a smooch. 'Are you kidding me?' says Toni, who is watching all of this. 'Oh, this is going to be fun tonight.' says Zack to Scott - and Scott may want to think about sleeping by the pool. He can't, so he goes to see Toni, who decides to sleep in the little bed.

Kristin is not done for the evening, though. She meets Alex by the pool and they get at it in the water - and in the bed, and in the bathroom, and in...well, you get the idea. The next morning, Toni talks to Scott, who tells her that she keeps stuff bottled up. 'Other people would have snapped back at you.'. Toni 'Then bring it.' Scott tells the guys that the real Toni will be showing up. The guys are chuckling, and Dave is concerned. 'She goes from Toni to the Thing.' says Dave. She tells the women that if someone has a problem, to put it on the table. The women are actually cool with that. We'll see how long the niceness end.

The niceness will end in a few minutes - because Keith has now showed up. 'The girl that I'm the most attracted to is Tara.' That is not good news for Beau, who is the current person that she's seeing. Zack shows Keith around - and Keith tells him that the cameras make him look like a (bleep). 'I figured as much' replied Keith.

The first girl to talk to Keith is Kristin, who wants to talk to Keith about how to stay in the hotel. Toni and the other women look on. 'The thing with alliances...it sucks. I don't know what I'm going to do.' says Keith, as he ponders on what he should do. Tara gives him more material to ponder - she tells him that it's all based on who you can trust. 'It would be good for you if I broke up the pack?' Tara - 'It would be good for everybody.' Tara convinces Keith to join her and Charla's alliance - and that spells trouble for the old boy's network.

Keith talks to the network - and they tell Keith that Alex, Scott and Zack would be ok - but Beau and Dave is expendable. Dave is probably not that expendable, since he's with Charla. Beau has no protection. Hmmmmm....

It's time for dinner - and time for a cheer. Beau is cheering as Tara gets aggressive - she likes Beau - and this could be complicated for Keith. 'People are needing a scapegoat' says Beau, who is seeing the writing on the wall. So is Dave, as he and Charla figure out strategy.

Ah - the lovely Pandora's Box - and this ought to be fun. Is Kristin attracted to Keith? Kristin says no, but she says that she's allowed to talk to guys. D"oh! Well, that screws up strategy. Is Amy and Zack in love? 'No Im not in love, but I definitely think that there's potential in the future.' Dave was asked which girl he wouldn't miss in Paradise Hotel - and surprisingly, he says Amy (not Toni), because he hasn't communicated with her. Hmmmmmm...

Someone wants to know who Alex thinks has lied to his face and has misled him. Alex says the answer is....Beau. Beau looks surprised - and here's the next question - how does it feel like Alex and Zack have lost complete trust in you. Beau snaps back at them 'People who I think are my friends have distanced themselves from me....it makes me feel like crap.'

Question to Toni - 'How do you feel, knowing that Dave said at breakfast no matter how much you apologized, he;d never forgive you?' Dave looks like he's just been shot. 'Shut Up! Game On!' says Toni. 'I only said one thing - I want you out. This game is temporary. Life is permanent. You talk to me, I'll respect you. You f#ck me, I'll get you. That's all I have to say.' Toni once again leaves, and Dave's mouth is agape.

Outside, Toni is by herself at the pool. Consoling her is...Dave? They talk and Toni breaks down. 'There was no reason for me to do that.' and Toni apologizes to Dave. Dave apologizes back and they hug together. Awwwww....until Dave talks to Scott and Alex. 'She's going to punch you 25 times in the face and then shake your hand?' Keith adds 'This place is out of control.' That's why we like it, Keith. "I'm going to sit back and enjoy the view." says Keith, as he watches people talk strategy and implode - like Beau going off on Zack and Alex. 'Zack, Alex, Kristin and Amy - there 4 people may need to be broken up.' says Keith - and we leave it at that. We'll see on Tuesday who indeed does get broken up.

July 29, 2003
Keith is the new guy - and he's getting all of the old guys scared. Zack and Alex should especially be scared - because Tara, who is gunning after Keith to join her group, is successfully convincing him to get rid of one of them.

We start however, with Keith talking to Kristin, who is part of the Alex/Zack coalition. The alliances boil in this direction - Kristin/Alex/Zack/Amy are on one side, Charla/Tara/Dave are on the other, and Scott/Toni/Beau are in the middle. Keith can pick one over the other, or if he really wants to be safe, he can pick the only person that no one would be missing - Beau.

Amy and Zack are already preparing for the worst - and Zack is finally opening up to Amy. 'I want to be there for you, but you have to be there for me too.' They wind up embracing - and that could be their last embrace.

Keith gets an invite to pick a woman to come on a cruise with him - all set up with a photographer. Keith talks to Tara and Charla first for their input, then he decides to take Kristin along. Keith told TOni that she would have been choice #2 - and she reacts by slapping a bug on her arm. That's sexy. Amy thinks that it's making it difficult to get a read on him - but the guys want her to persuade her to pick off Dave or Beau.

Kristin and Keith are getting very passionate - and the kisses on the boat being shared seem to be a sign of that. After that. Kristin warns Keith that there will be a lot of hurt people if he sends the wrong people home. 'Everybody wants Dave out more than anybody else. David this week, then Beau the next week.'

While they are on the boat, everyone else is eating, and the guys have no clue how he is going to react. A jumping Kristin returns and tells everyone how much fun it's been - which raises up the eyeballs of both Scott and Alex. Alex thinks that he's gone.

He is really thinking about it the next morning, when the 'pictures' get distributed to the house guests - and yes, it's the PG-13 bordering on rated R ones. That pushes the people to pry onto Keith a little more, and an upset Keith has had enough. 'Nobody ever better come up and tell me anything about who to get rid of. I don't know. How am I supposed to know?' complains Keith.

That won't stop the women from trying - Toni calls Keith over. He gets up - then sits down. That pisses Toni off, and she pulls another disappearing act. 'Bitch' is the verbal reaction that Keith gives. Kristin's physical reaction is to push Keith into the pull. 'Oh that really helps the cause.' says Alex.

Toni doesn't help the cause either. 'If you ever disrespect the women again without cause...' she starts, and Keith gets into her to. 'Stop acting like a little girl - you're not always right.' Toni accuses him of abusing his power and she doesn't want to room with him. 'I am so scared to lose Scott and I am scared to lose Alex.'. Toni should be afraid to lose herself next week.

Zack wants a rematch with Dave in tennis - and the stakes are that Zack has to wear a thong if he loses. Dave wins - but Zack isn't going to wear the thong. Alex goes - and he says that he will wear the white thong if he loses. Someone bring Sisqo into the TV show, because Dave is housing him as well. Just to make sure that Alex will do it, Dave gets it in writing. 'If I'm getting voted off, I may as well be the biggest girl that there is.' Thong, thong thong thong thong...

The thongs will be seen sooner, rather than later, because here come the invites to the coupling ceremonies. Alex asks Zack if he wants to use Kleenex to stuff himself - and he says that he looks like a horse. That's nice. They do live up to their part of the bargain, and Alex and Zack strut their stuff in Speedos. Well, that will have to do for the ladies. Alex swears revenge on Dave - if he sticks around long enough...

We will find that out now. The men will be selecting roommates. Alex picks Kristin, Beau picks Tara ('I see a lot of truth in her - and honesty, I respect that.'). That could spell trouble. Scott goes to Toni, Zack goes to Amy, and Dave goes with Charla. No surprises there.

Here comes the surprise. With the flashbacks swirling around his head, Keith will select.....AMY. Which means that Zack is now gone. 'Are you f#cking kidding me?' says Amy. Keith shakes his head, and Zack is history.

Amy bends over crying. 'I'm just trying to play the game.' and he may have realized his mistake a little bit too late. Amy wants nothing to do with Keith, and she and Zack hug. Zack thought that Keith thought that he was too intimidating and that he wishes everyone the best of luck. He leaves, but not before hugging Amy again. Amy is still bent over crying, and she is very far away from Keith, the other end of the sofa, staring into space.

We don't have enough time to pick a new woman tonight. We do have more than enough time to see the fallout that happened afterwards. Toni hugs Amy, and Amy wants to join Zack. 'Make me understand please.' says Toni to Keith. 'I have nothing to say to you. I'm playing a game.' responds Keith. The girls are regrouping, while Beau goes after Keith, 'Keith does not deserve to be here.' meanwhile, Beau does not realize that he was THIS close to packing his bags.

Charla and Tara are planning the revolution with David and Keith - but this will be a VERY nasty week. 'I started it - they better help me finish it.' hopes Keith. We'll get to see how nasty this gets tomorrow.

July 30, 2003
In 2 weeks, we have seen the 2 tumultuous couples be separated. First Amanda is gone, and now Zack. Most of the women and the guys want Keith's hide. One thing is for certain - this should be an episode high on estrogen and entertainment.

We start with the estrogen and the women, as promised, go after Keith. Keith wants to win this game. 'Are you really that stupid?' asks Amy. 'How do you think that you're going to win this without having us supporting you behind your back?'

Amy carves right into Keith. 'I have something to say right now. Name one person that you would have wanted to see go home?' Alex chimes in 'I wanted to see me, Zack and Scott stay.' which alludes that Beau and Dave would have been fine to packing their bags. Beau knows this.

Amy gets the last word. 'If it's the last thing that I do before Im gone, I will see to it that you're gone and that you are running up the stairs to see you gone, because we are going to make your life here a living nightmare.' I don't know, Amy - tell us what you really think.

What I think is that we need to see the two new females who will be competing to get into the hotel. We see them - but not in the studio. This time around, Amanda herself is in the hotel - and so are the 2 women that will be trying to get into the hotel. The first woman is a 22 year old names Holly Tasta. The second woman is a 28 year old physical therapist called Whitney Michaels.

We have another surprise for the women - they will be isolated and the guys will be making the decisions all by their lonesome. Of course the women will be privy to all of this info. Dave wants to know if there's a vibe between him and Holly - and she says no. D'oh! Holly thinks that she would not get along with Charla , while Brittany doesn't think that she will get along with Amy.

Holly gets into it with Scott (to which Toni says 'You son of a B#tch'). Whitney declines to give Dave physical therapy - until the guys make him a makeshift table. Brittany reluctantly gives him a mini-massage and it seems like Dave won't be getting any from either of them.

When asked who their favorite, Keith likes Charla - while Alex doesn't. Beau thinks that Toni is playing a good game ('Welcome to my world' responds Toni). Dave agrees with Beau (which also gets a 'You son of a b#tch' from Toni. 'I'm going to drown your #ss').

Here is surprise #2 - Amanda lets them know that the ladies could hear them - and boy, do they react. Charla says that she will be more fun from now on. Toni? 'Dave - I'm going to talk to you like a man, because you are a man...You specifically called me out. Game on.'

The incumbent women get to ask questions to the prospective females. Tara wants to know what Holly's going to bring that's original - she is going to bring herself. Holly doesn't want to hurt anyone, and Whitney wants to play the game. It's obvious that Holly will be pro Amy/Toni/Kristin, while Whitney will be pro Tara/Charla. The women think that Holly will come in - because she has bigger boobs. Holly does indeed get in - and Toni is happy about it. Which side will be happier?

Once again, we get the women receiving the news that oe of the incumbents will be kicked out - and Toni wastes no time in getting to say hi. Amy also wastes no time telling Holly to avoid Keith in front of everyone -= and she makes sure that Holly is listening. Holly walks alone, while Beau and Dave shake hands. Did the revolution get a new member?

Meanwhile, the original revolution discuss strategy - and they realize how vital it is to get Holly into their group. Amy and Toni realize it to - and they spare no expense to do it. Keith also tells Holly that the new people need her to help them out. Charla talks to Tara and they both know that Holly has the overall say. They dance a little bit, because they think that they have the edge in that category.

We see an early peak into it as Holly gets to invite 2 gentlemen guests for 2 nights. Holly selects, for her first date, Scott. That could spell good news for the incumbents - or disastrous news for Toni. At dinner, Alex says that he, Beau and Amy have something planned for the rest of the guests. The surprise comes in them being wrapped up in sheets. TOGA PARTY!!!! 'You will not be allowed in without a gift, a toga and a drink.' says Alex - and the guests are more than happy to oblige.

Tarable, Charlapatra, Aphrodaviac, Kristinator and Tonius Maximus have shows up - and it seems like Alex the host is royally sloshed. Tonius Maximus brings the whipped cream - you have a feeling that this will be used?

Scott and Holly toast - and they are celebrating by themselves. Meanwhile, everyone else have a fashion party. Afrodaviac wins the male model competition, while the female fashion winner is a tie between Tara and Tonius Maximus - who flashes a little boobius maximus at the guests. We get the whipped cream coming out - and Beau gets the tongue treatment from Tara. They all celebrate with the togas as we end the evening.

We start the next morning with Scott and Holly coming back from the trip - and Dave coming out with the straw hat that he won last night. Scott is saying that she's a cool girl. 'Is she cooler than Toni?' Scott says so. Meanwhile, Toni finally figures it out - Dave, Charla and Tara are plotting against them. She calls the women together. Meanwhile, the three newbies don't realize that the incumbent women are on to them. Toni, who is clearly the one in the hot seat, finishes it up with this - 'If I'm the one to go, then so be it. If I'm not, then someone's in a lot of trouble.'

The trouble shows up on Monday, where there's only one episode this week. Do you have that feeling that it will be action-packed? I do - and we'll see then which side takes a trouble-sized hit.

August 5, 2003
We have the new group - with Holly, Tara, Keith and Dave and Charla. We have the old group - Alex, Toni, Kristin, Amy, and Scott....or is Scott being lured by Holly? Hmmmm.....That's how we start this episode. We also start it with Tara, Toni and Amy using the pool to drench the guys coming by. They get Beau and Keith, but they miss Dave.

Scott and Holly are discussing strategy, while Amy, Toni and Kristen are planning on getting rid of Charla. 'This is the hardest situation that I've been in my entire life. To be here so long and to have everyone against you.'Charla goes to turn to solace to - Toni? Wha? She is talking to Charla - apparently not ready to let on what she knows.

Holly knows that she gets to pick a guy who isn't named Scott to go with her on another date. Everyone thinks that she is going to ask Beau - and everyone is right. While that is going on, Kristin is telling Beau that she is going to couple with him - so make sure that she doesn't pick him to she's (bleeped).

Alex talks to Keith on why he took out Zack - he said that he's just playing the game, while they think that it's more than a game. The men tell Keith that it was probably the worst move that he could have made. He's trying to get rid of the originals - and he tells them that.

Holly is hanging out with Beau - and she tells him that she's rather hang out with Toni and company than Charla and company. Beau tells her to watch her guard - and then she has to watch Beau's skin as they each play around with some hot wax. Yowzers.

Meanwhile, the girl who is crying in the room is Amy - who's ready to go home. The fact that Zach is gone just sapped away her energy and she decides to mope in her room all evening. 'I'm going to go to sleep by myself and I'm going to wake up by myself. Good night, Zach.' Well, that doesn't make much interesting television.

Beau says that Holly isn't targeted anyone. 'The only person who I have to find out about was Toni, and that's to tell her to S-H-U-T up.' Too late. Toni puts the cards on the table - and accuses Tara and Charla of doing what they were doing. She excuses herself (again) and Tara and Charla are left breathless. 'I hope Toni isn't getting to Holly' says Dave. Too late again. Toni admits to Holly that she is paranoid - and they discuss politics. Beau and Scott also play strategy - and they want Charla gone too.

Scott and Charla chat - and Charla feels threatened by Scott. Charla lies point blank to him that she doesn't feel like she's taking sides. Scott lies point blank too and says that he's not doing this strategically. Well, this will all be out in the open soon, won't it?

Scott, Amy and Toni chat strategy - Amy and Toni fight over Scott - and Scott calls Amy on it. 'Every time that you want to room with me is when some woman is on the block.' Toni says that Scott wouldn't pick her and they all blew up. Beau, who's with Charla, calls up the room - and he feels slighted because none of them are talking to him and are letting them know what's going on. The pressure of selection day is making everyone a little bitchy, isn't it?

It's time for the selection show. Holly decides whom to get rid of. This spells problems for the incumbents, because the only people that Holly have hung out with is Beau and Scott - which would be who the incumbent ladies are going after. Holly chooses Scott - which doesn't surprise anyone - and it also means that the look on Toni's face says it all - she's screwed.

IN an interesting move, Tara sides with Dave. Kristin hangs out with Alex. It's time for Toni to go - and she sacrifices herself for Amy. She picks Keith, 'Amy doesn't deserve to go - I want her to stay, and I've already said it 100 times...I will take a bullet for you in a heartbeat. It's my turn.' Amy looks like she's going to cry - and she hugs Toni before picking Beau. Now it's Charla's turn to cry. 'Zack trusted Beau 150% before the game - and we're learning that the name of the game is trust.' Charla realizes that these people do have hearts - but she is here to play a game, and the only smart move for her would be to pick Keith. We find out that Charla actually liked Toni - but she's here to play the game and she does, indeed pick Keith. 'I would feel the most safe with him' but everyone knows that she's full of it.

We all know what Keith is going to do, so this should be no surprise. 'This is a messed up game. Charla, I bonded with you from day 1. Toni, I'm sorry.' Toni does get booted, and she tells Charla that it's ok. 'You're a very loyal friend' says Amanda - and we see a montage of Toni leaving. The place is going to be different without her - it's going to suck. 'Well, I'm gone guys, but I will still be here in heart. Amy, I love you.'

Toni is gone, and if it wasn't evident that it's the old people vs. the new people, it is now. We get to play some high stakes gambling - and with the series winding down, the stakes will only get higher. And we get a sneak preview of someone who was taken out of the house who was trying to get back into the house. Could it be....well, it wouldn't be fair to say - but there's only one guy booted who would make everyone go nuts. We'll see if the Zackster makes an appearance on the next show.

August 11, 2003
My favorite person, Toni, has bit the dust. Sigggggghhhhhhhh.......I don't know if I can continue recapping this show. I have no one to root for. I will have to be neutral now and see if there is anyone left in the show that's worth liking.

The teams are divided into 2 - the newbies and the incumbents. We see Toni being eliminated - and the shockwaves are still being felt. 'Last week it was Zach, and now, this week it was Toni.' says Amy. At least she is with Beau, who she completely trusts - and they are on the same page - for now.

Dave, of course, who has no love for Toni, is very happy about the circumstances - but Holly isn't. 'I think it's stupid.' Holly and Scott seem to be the wild cards.

The competition is now friendly - and the winners get to hang out with the new person. 'Friendly competition, My ass.' says Keith, as he and Tara walk to the SUVs. We get to go to Paradise Alley for some bowling - and for me, this is truly paradise =).

Dave wants himself and Keith to win, so he can influence the newbie. Dave has bowled in the league as a kid - it must have had bumpers, because he stunk - but he doesn't drink. 'We'll see what happens at the end, when sober Dave is up against a drunk Beau.

It seems like the top 3 people are Beau, Keith and Dave. Dave needs the mark to beat Beau - and it's not a drunk Beau, but a drunk Amy that makes the difference - she talks trash to Dave, and he puts the ball right in the gutter. That is game, set and match, and Keith and Beau get to hang out with the new guy.

Amy is not done talking trash yet - not by a long shot - and this time, the barbs are going to keith. 'I put rat poison on them (fries) and I want you to die!!!...I'm going to trip you down the stairs and drown you in the pool...you just hurt me, that's all.' Keith says that it's nothing personal, but it's very personal to Amy, and Keith is uncomfortable - so much to that Tara wants Amy to cool down and have fun - the problem is that Amy is having fun.

Amy is giving Beau directions - but Beau is telling her that he's not going to be enemies with Keith - he's not stupid. Meanwhile, Alex and Kristin are going over game plan - and he realizes that he can only trust Kristin and Amy - as he has already strained things with Beau.

But before Keith and Beau spend quality time with the guy - they have to meet him first - and he is someone from their past. This someone is the first guy who got rejected by the guys - Tom - who they rejected in favor of Dave. There's a surprise - though I thought that guys get one chance. The women are cheering, while the guys - specifically Beau - are booing. Flashback to Tom making fun of the stuttering DJ, and we see why. Here's the bigger surprise - there is no second guest. Tom is coming in - whether they like it or not - and none of the new people like it. Dave really doesn't like it. 'I beat him, yet Tom still gets to go to Paradise. Go figure.' Here's surprise number 3 - Tom will pick someone in a day, which means that he is vulnerable to get booted. Based on the guys reaction, he will be.

OK - time to get back on the pedestal. These are the same people who did Love Cruise, who ran this smoothly, but hit choppy waters when they started to really twist the rules around - which included people coming back. They are now doing the exact same thing here - and it's very annoying when they are changing the rules. This cheats the viewer, who can't play the game at home because they don't know the rules. Both of these things have 1 thing in common - they both went downhill once Toni got eliminated. It looks like history will repeat itself and I am almost positive that we are not done with seeing Zack and Toni...

The first person to say hi to Tom is, of course, Charla. they all toast to Tom, and then Any and Holly hang out with Tom - as does Beau. Meanwhile, Alex and Dave talk about how much of an idiot Beau is being. Dave is scared - if Tom picks you (Charla), I go home.' Charla is falling for Tom - or at least is looking at him - and that scares Dave - scares him so much that he tells Tom to go after an original - Holly. That would spell disaster for Scott - and it looks even more to when Tom talks to Keith.

Meanwhile, Amy and Kristen and Alex talk strategy - and it is to get rid of Keith or Tom. Good strategy - because Tom is already in cahoots with Keith. Scott is telling Holly to make sure that Tom doesn't pick her - and they decide to consummate the deal by taking a shower together. Ooohhh la laaaaa. We have more of that as Charla does get wooed - but not by Tom - by Keith. Keith accuses Charla of being drunk and they just talk - until Keith decides to go to the pool. He decides to do that - until Charla decides to tear up and Keith is getting second thoughts. Dave comes in to the rescue - and he's getting very jealous over Keith. Him and Charla have words and you start to wonder what Dave is thinking right now.

It's 4am, and Beau goes to bed. Alex and Tara decide that it would be cool to put blankets over their head and start scaring people - like Dave and Beau and Amy. if they went into Tom's room, they may be scared - Tom sings when he wakes up - and hideously off-key. We'll have more on his weirdness later.

Right now, one woman will have to deal with Tom's weirdness. Tom, going by Dave, picks Holly - and that upsets Scott - as we all know that it will. Tom makes googly eyes at Holly - and she, turns away, not wanting any of Tom. She really doesn't want any of Tom when she sees that he makes love to a pet monkey named Smokey. Tom is making love to the doll - and Dave has to wonder if his alliance is worth it if it means he has to stay with Terrifying Tom. Holly is all ready to go into the singles room.

But forget about Tom - it's time to open up the Paradise Hotel Casino - where the man with the most $$ is safe from eviction. Ladies may give winnings to the gentlemen of their choice. This is up Dave's alley, as he is a huge gambler - unless he is as good as that as he is in bowling. Just to pad his bet, he reminds Tom about it - and they think about teaming up together. 'He doesn't realize at all what's going on here' says Dave. Uh....no, he doesn't.

Everyone is looking nice and spiffy for the Casino opening, when we get this bombshell - not only is the winner safe, he gets to determine who goes home. Now the stakes are really ratcheted up a notch. Everyone gets $5,000 worth of Paradise Hotel Dollars. We have Blackjack, Roulette, a Bar - and Charla giving Dave all of her money.

Dave is not doing good - but Keith is doing very very well. Alex sees this - and he decides to make a withdrawal from the house of Keith - he also adds chip on his bets after the wager - and Dave is starting to get wise to this. With 2 minutes remaining, Dave is up - and Kristin is talking trash, which forces Dave off the table. Alex starts to cash his chips - and Dave wants to come over. Alex doesn't let him and they start getting into it. Amanda says that time is up - and that the women can give what they won to whomever that they want.

Alex's jig is up - does that give Keith the win? Or did someone else do very well? We'll see who craps out on Wednesday.

August 13, 2003
This is part 2 of let me find someone to root for - and the answer, so far, is no one. We have vengeance, cheating, adultery and likable people getting booted. It may spark the ratings, but it's hard to recap this and find someone likable. We need a bunch of newbies to come in and get rid of everyone - both new and old.

We start the introductions - and Tom is wearing Smokey his stuffed monkey. TOm is scary - but not as scary as the competition going on. Dave says that the 2 biggest winners are Keith and Alex - and he goes over to Scott's room to talk to him on strategy. Dave tells Scott, Holly and Beau's money goes will determine who wins. 'You support where your money goes' - and Dave is trying to do an exchange of $$ for protection against elimination.

Charla and Tara say how cool - and crazy - Tom is. Is Tom braindead or is he crazy like a fox? Dave is coming to congratulate everyone on their sneakiness when Tom is asked to accompany Keith and Beau for an evening of fishing, thanks to the bowling competition on the last episode. While fishing, Keith tells the guys that he knows that Alex stole a lot of money. Beau's response? 'I said it from day 1, if you lie, cheat or steal, that's not the game.' We'll get back to that statement later on in the episode, as Beau tells that there are a lot of people that you can't trust - and the only person is Amy.

Charla confronts Keith about him having a think with Tara - and Keith says he flirts with her - before attempting to kiss Charla. Keith focuses his attention on something else besides Charla - Alex and Kristin - and how much trust to have o them. Gee, Keith, you want them out anyways. Kristin does admit that she did steal chips - and she goes with Alex.

Do we have another alliance brewing? Keith goes to Scott and Alex - and tells them that Beau wants Alex gone. They talk about giving all of their money to Dave, who will get rid of Beau. Well, so much for being truthful.

Meanwhile, Dave talks to Amy about who she would vote off - she would get rid of Scott? Wha? No Keith? She accuses Scott of destroying the alliance to begin with. She then goes to Tara, who she notices talking to Dave, of eavesdropping on the conversation. Tara says that she couldn't care less and we are already getting to see some real bad blood between those two. It gets worse when Tara talks to Dave about what he said - and Dave said that he would keep it confidential, as he notices that Tara and Amy are starting to go after each other. Tara does indeed say that her friends don't talk to her like that, and here come the claws.

They should be completely unsheathed by the time Pandora's Box arrives. Dave and Keith are talking strategy - and they are talking while Charla is in the bathroom. She is getting insulted and she starts to take it out on Dave, where Dave says he's stressed out and is wanting a hug. Dave doesn't get it and Charla is still doing her make-up. Hmmm...

Everyone is making fun of Tom while we start with Pandora's Box. TOm is asked who is playing the game the most - he says Dave and Tara - which surprises Beau as Tom says how she back-stabbed Amanda. Holly is asked about picking Scott over Tom - and she says that no one stays with their roommate 24/7. Beau is asked who he wants out, since he was told that he wanted both Keith and Alex out. He says that he wants both of them out because he doesn't trust either of them. Way to paint the bulls-eye on your fanny, Beau.

Alex is panicking because of what Beau said. Keith is talking to Alex, and the original alliance is about to go bye-bye. 'If you stay too long on a sinking ship, you are going to go down with them.' says Alex. who does pay off Dave. 'I have all of this money...and power...and hopefully, I'll make the right decision.' Dave discusses strategy with Scott - and hope that him saving Alex won't come back to haunt him.

Maybe Dave should change his mind when he sees Tom wearing in a dress. What makes this more disturbing is that he didn't lose a bet to Dave - he is wearing it all by himself. Both the women and the men are talking 'I tried so hard, but with the monkie and the blankie...' starts Dave, and he can't finish it without laughing.

The elimination is no laughing matter. Amanda starts it off - and to no one's surprise, Dave has the most money. 'What a surprise' says Amy - and it's evident that Alex didn't tell Amy what he did with the money. Dave is thinking about getting rid of either Beau - or Alex.

Since Dave picks last, it's time for the academic couplings. Alex picks Kristin, Tom picks Amy ('it just gets better and better' moans a despaired Amy), Beau also picks Amy, Scott picks Holly, and Keith picks Charla. Amy selects Beau, and Tara is stuck with the Monkie and Blankie boy ('I get the Leftovers. Yay.').

So it's down to Dave - and he picks - Amy. That means that Beau gets to be sent packing - and he picks up the wrath of Amy. But first, he gets the wrath of Beau. 'Nothing to be sorry - I hate to say it, but these people, you guys, are pathetic to me. I'd rather to go home than stay here. Amy's a great girl - not you take care of her.' Amy - 'This just keeps getting better and better for me.'

Beau ' The hotel is awesome - the guests here I can't say too much about..some of you I thought were my friends, some of you I never thought were my friends, but this game is supposed to be played with integrity, morals and values. There are some people her that I looked up to so much that let me down - and when it comes down to picking, I was a threat, because the number one weapon that no one can win against was the truth. Thank you, and good-bye, forever...If you're truthful, you've won. I've won this game. I've won because I never changed who I was.' He kicked his heels when he leaves.

'He insulted every single one of us.' says Kristin. Well, you haven't been honest to him and Beau has reason to be upset. Dave tries to consult Amy - but she's not buying what he's selling. Dave explains to Amy - between them - that he wouldn't have said Beau home but he got money from him to send Beau home. That surprised Amy, who realizes that she gave her money to Alex and that there are no more good people left in the game.

Holly is scared that she is next to go - but who should be scared is Amy, who is clearly on the chopping block now. Amy goes up and confronts Alex while Holly breaks down to Tom. Kristin assumed that she knew - and Amy isn't buying Kristin's steaming pile of monkey crap. Alex says that it was self-defense, and 'I don't have to tell anybody here what I'm doing with the money - I don't have to tell anyone.' Amy's final quote 'I'm not going to backstab anyone just to have a chance to win.'

Well, I have to agree with Beau and Amy - none of the people left are likable and that's the nature of the game. Only Amy and Holly are next - and they are clearly on the cutting board unless we get another immunity-type challenge on the board. We'll see next week if they can stay true to the game - and themselves.

August 18, 2003
As we continue to get rid of the incumbents, we welcome.. a VERY long recap. After that, we welcome...happiness? 'When Beau went home, no one was really upset about it.' says Alex. Obviously, he didn't put Amy into the occasion, as she is bawling her eyes out. 'I am trying to find reasons why I should stay here anymore.' We get the flashback of her saying goodbye to Zack, Toni and Beau.

Charla is hanging out with Keith - and she's hamming him up. 'I'm too tall for you.' Keith - 'You have to much attitude for me,' Truer words may have never been spoken. Meanwhile, there are no such problems with Scott and Holly, as they take turns trying out their massage techniques.

Fade to Charla's house - and she's showing Keith pictures of her ex - and saying how much she misses Jesse the ex. Sure, THAT will get you Keith....NOT. Keith is wrestling Charla - but I think it's more for her to shut up. He does manage to break the picture, which causes Charla to stop talking. That's the first good thing that I have seen Keith do.

Now, we are welcoming 2 ladies into the house - and they have brought back 2 women who they didn't invite for a second chance. So apparently, they have a pool of people who they are bringing in, regardless of whether or not they get voted in or not. Lame.

First up is reject Desiree. Second up is reject Lauren (see the previous recaps for more details on them). Lauren wants to get to know people instead of what she sees on TV, wile Desiree thought that she could have been better than Kavita (the woman who beat out Desiree but who only stayed for a week).

After the women depart (but, of course, can see what's going on), Lauren teaches Dave some moves and Desiree gives Keith a butt massage. Amy wants to know what she is supposed to be afraid of. 'Well, if you don't pick me, then I know that you are afraid.', while Lauren thinks that now that Amanda is gone, Amy is the new drama queen. Well, Amy is on the hook, regardless of what woman gets in.

Here is surprise #18,562 - it's the women who make the choice this week - not the guys (who are supposed to be). Charla votes for Desiree, Kristin votes for Desiree, Holly votes for Lauren, Tara votes for Desiree - which means that it doesn't matter who Amy picks - and that may be the theme of the week. Lauren goes back home, as she is rejected twice.

Desiree gets to room with the man of her choice - which means that she is vulnerable to go bye-bye. Desiree is listening to the woman who is the most willing to go bye-bye - Amy. Tara and Keith are noting this - and are thinking that she wants to stick around. Amy gives Desiree this piece of advice - 'Let me put it to you this way - it's all about who can kiss the best ass'

The biggest ass-kisser right now is Keith - as he tries to seduce Charla, but Charla isn't buying what Keith is selling - and she tells Tara about it. Tara doesn't care - because she wants Keith for herself.

Dave's next tennis opponent is Tom - and the stakes are raised. They don't want to see Tom in a dress - they've already seen that they want to see Tom in a birthday suit. 'Come on monkey boy - we want to see your monkey' says Desiree. The monkey, is , according to Tara, a perv - as the Monkey (controlled by Tom) made a play for Tara's breast. In terms of tennis - we didn't see a monkey - but they saw a semi-full moon.

Meanwhile, Charla is talking tO Keith about, of all things, his chest hair pattern. Keith decides to flirt - and grab Charla's fanny pack. 'I'm not attracted to his personality.' says Charla, who talks to Keith. Keith is wondering why Amy still hates him. I don't think that's going to change, Keith. Meanwhile, Charla, still remembering what Desiree did to Keith, is concerned about her own future on the island. She knows that there is nothing going on with Keith, and they are there just to play the game - Is Charla concerned enough to pick a new ally?

At dinner, the guests decide to throw a housewarming party - welcome to Club Desiree! She checks the list - and plays the role of the bouncer to a T. So does Alex - who slips her some bills. Hmmmmm.....

It's time to play with the whipped cream! You know the rules - wherever you spray it, you have to lick it. They are all having fun - except Charla, who looks stunned to be there. Alex says that Charla is too boring - but Charla is more grossed out than bored. 'I don't have any desire to be in this room.'

Dave is trying to come to her aid - and he pledges trust in her. 'I want to win with you.' While Dave is aligning with Charla, Tara is aligning with Keith. Tara is concerned that Kristin would come to Keith - and that concerns him that Tara isn't being 100% honest. While they are ironing it out, Dave is talking to Charla about hanging out with her. Charla is getting tired - and she may be ready to go home. She tells Dave off - and that may have been a monumental lapse in error.

Alex is playing strategy with Tara - and telling her that he may tell Desiree how to stick around in the game. Meanwhile, she is helping Keith get rid of his annoying chest hairs by waxing him off. They are interrupted by Tom. Tom is telling Keith how to wax his chest - and I guess that Tom knows.

It looks like Dave has reconciled with Charla - and tells the chef that she wants a fried steak with butter and onions with fried mushrooms. That gets delivered to Charla, who is still moping in bed. Her response? 'I don't want fried steak, damn it.' Oops.

Is Tom into Desiree? Tom doesn't think so - but he thinks that she and Keith should room together. Keith is worried that he will be picked - because he wants to hang out with Tara. Does Desiree feel the same? At the ceremony, she decides that she wants to room with...Tom. 'I feel good - third girl this week.' It seems like that plays well into Keith's hands - and Tara is the outsider - but not too unhappy of an outsider.

We get another announcement at dinner - the people have to nominate a king and a queen - choose wisely. Desiree thinks that people have been here too long - but she needs to find someone to form an alliance with.

Dave really wants to be the homecoming king - and we hear him ranting out to the end of the show. We also get the threats of another twist - and Amy desperately needs it in order to stay around. Will she? Find out on Wednesday if she does - or if she gets crowned.

August 20, 2003
The show started getting interesting when the power to get rid of people came from something that was not based out of peer pressure. So this week, we continue it by...having a homecoming King and Queen, which will be determined by a popularity vote. Is there any doubt that the king and queen won't be Dave and Tara? Zzzzzzzzzzz.......

But before we get to the snoring climax, we are subjected to more flirting between Charla and Keith. Meanwhile, Dave has the hots for Charla - and he's getting torn that she's spending quality time with Keith.

Back to the contest - and it's time for the nominations. Dave and Tara, of course, are on the forefront. Dave does what he does best - schmoozing - and this time, it's with Tara. Charla is doing what she does the best - mainly, staring at people who are talking to Dave and brooding.

Amanda announces the nominations - the nominees for the King are Alex and Dave, while the nominees for the queen are Tara and Amy. They campaign for the day, and the voting will be at the disco ball this evening. To make things even weirder, the waiter brings a Paradise Hotel necklace for Smokey, who the women are finding far more appealing than the human host.

Dave believes that he better win the debating competition - because he is not going to win the swimsuits competition. Certainly not if he can't come up with something better than what Alex did - a swimsuit made up of a speedo and shaving cream. Amy comes out with...uhhh....I don't know what that is. It looks like she's wrapped up in tin foil, with madonna-like cones coming out of her breast and butt area, and spiked hair that looks like Tere Joyce. Tara comes out with a skimpy 2 piece zebra bikini with a skimpy silk cover. Finally, it's Dave, who comes out in a business suit and does a strip tease. 'His interests include gambling...and telling the truth.', which is an obvious jab at Alex.

Dave continues his campaign - telling Amy that she hopes that she wins, and putting Dave ads under every glass. Meanwhile, Tara is practicing her speech - and Dave is setting up Keith to screw Amy up. Sure, Dave is all about honesty. Riiiiiiiight...

Here comes the debate. Alex says that he will represent everybody while Dave says that he will take everyone's opinion in terms of people to trust. Keith brings up the cheating at Casino night issue (which we all knew that he would), and Alex brought up that everyone wanted the money - even though that they knew that it was stolen. Kristin asks how he's going to be mature as king with his own behavior. Dave? 'To be completely blunt, the biggest challenges for me, has been some people's immaturity.' OUCH.

In the final 30 seconds, Alex brings up a fun chart and exclaims how the fun level would be back up. Dave wants to create an atmosphere where it doesn't matter if it's original people verses new people. That's real easy to say, since there aren't many original people left.

Onto the women. Tara says that she gave the money to Dave, without knowing who she would kick off. Keith talks to Amy - and she agrees that she does have a grudge against Keith - but she wants to have fun, as does Tara. No real fireworks here, and it's on to the voting. Tara votes for Dave - and Amy? Wha? Amy votes for Alex - and Tara?? Huh?? Alex votes for Dave - and Tara??? Have these people gone nuts? 2 of those people, we find out later, were not nuts at all - and one of them has gone quite out of their heads - and will pay for it dearly later.

Amanda announces that the Homecoming Queen....is...Tara! She is stunned - and she realizes immediately that Amy voted for her. 'Are you serious? Thank you, loyal subjects' Tara will be sharing the throne with....Dave. Well, that's not a surprise - he campaigned for it and he earned it.

Amanda lets everyone in o why the King and Queen is so important. 1. Queen Tara is safe from elimination. 2. King David and Queen Tara chooses who stays - and who goes. You could smell that coming from a mile away - and I sense another original biting the dust.

Dave is enjoying his kingdom, as he tells Charla 'I dedicated a slow song. I'm going to dance with you, or Tara, or whichever girl is kissing my butt the best.' Charla asks Dave about who he's going to get rid of - and Dave tells her. Charla reminds him about the promise that Dave made - and he says that he doesn't remember making any promises. Flashback to him making the promise about him going with the majority. Sure enough, David has gotten into the political role very well and Charla is wondering if she didn't make a huge mistake in terms if candidate selection.

Charla and Keith, the 2 people in the alliance that are not royalty, talk about making sure that Tara knows the plan. Meanwhile, Kristin tells Tara that she will do anything to stick around - and Charla tells Keith that she wants Amy gone - which of course, Keith is more than happy to see Amy gone.

Keith and Tara are having a celebration in Tara's room - and Keith warns Tara that things are going to get ugly. Meanwhile, Kristin is whining about how Keith and Tara win everything, and Alex is in shock, because he voted for Tara. Speaking of which, Dave and Tara talk. Dave 'We know what we're going to do' Tara - 'You don't know what I want to do. I want Charla gone.' That causes Dave's eyeballs to pop out of his head - and if they weren't fastened, to roll on the floor. 'I'm just kidding.' says Tara, and Dave wants to slug her. They decide instead of telling everyone who's leaving, they will keep it a secret, so they are not going to talk to anyone.

Conversely, Alex asks Keith how they are going to take opinions if they haven't heard anyone's opinion. Keith relays that to Dave - and Dave comes over to ask Alex who should be gone. Alex talks to Dave - and he tells Alex that he's going to represent the people who voted for him - NOT necessarily everyone. A pissed Alex, who realizes what he has done, leaves the table.

We now find out why Amy voted for Tara - she wants off of the island. Amy comes over to Dave and Tara and tells them that 'Nothing is worth my happiness. Take me out tonight. I'm ready.' Dave tells her that he will take her opinion under consideration - but he listens to the majority of his constituents. The look on Tara's and Dave's face says it all, when they say 'This sucks.' It's obvious that Amy is not the person that they are planning on sending home.

This should be very interesting as we head into the coupling session. Here are some interesting stipulations. The king and queen will be rooming together - and they will be deciding who rooms with whom. They get 15 minutes to deliberate who rooms with whom. 'This is, by far, the biggest shake-up ever.' says King Dave, who better be careful or he will be overthrown and possibly beheaded.

Here comes the decisions of the king and queen. Desiree and Tom will stay together. Keith is now rooming with Holly. Alex is rooming with Charla. That changes everything, because there's no surprise now who's going to be shafted - Alex. Kristin's stay in the hotel is in deep trouble. Only Scott is left - and only Amy and Kristen are left. It would make no sense for the changes to be made and to piss Alex off - unless they want to be nice to Amy by keeping her with the only person that she would want to room with - Scott. If that is the case, then Kristin is going to get booted. 'Scott's roommate for the next week will be...Amy' 'That was supposed to be me' says Amy, who protests and decides that she wants to leave. Amy wants to leave if Kristin stays - but Amanda tells Amy that she can leave with Kristin. Kristin tells Amy not to leave - and Alex and Desiree tells her to stay as well. Amy decides to stay - and only Kristin will be leaving.

We get the Kristin montage - and Kristin gets to say her last peace. '(Tara and Dave) look like the feel like sh#T - they should.' Kristin leaves, and Alex, who is staring at the ceiling, has no one to blame but himself. He voted for Tara - which eventually led to Kristin's departure.

What does this mean for Alex? What does this mean for the rest of the group when they find out that there will be no more new guests and that the end game has begun? Find out on Monday for the answers.

August 25, 2003
King Dave eliminates the peasant Kristin - and we get to see the mess that has been left behind. Fro a strategic standpoint, that was the right move, as you have to get rid of the threats - and that makes it easier to get rid of Alex, who is now stuck with Charla. 'This is going to be miserable.' moans Alex, who gives Charla press-on nails as a gift. Ouch. 'Can I have some champagne please?' asks Charla to the concierge.

Dave comes in to apologize to Charla - and she does tell him that he did the right thing - but she wants Tara to console her. Charla didn't want to be with Keith for the third week - while Keith thinks that Dave didn't group them up because they may bet getting a bit too close...

Speaking of consoling, Scott is consoling Amy, telling her that he needs her in the house. Looking on is a concerned Holly. The rest of the guests outside were wondering about if there were going to be any more guests from the past checking in - but Amanda is there to tell them that there are no new guests that will be checking in - ever. Surprise! The prize is still a secret - and so will how their secret of how they will be spending the end of their Summer. As for this week's eliminations - the women will be deciding who gets booted. Love Cruise, anyone?

Dave and Keith plan strategy - Keith wants Scott gone. Dave wants Alex gone. The women want the men's clothes gone - and Tom is more than happy to comply as he skinny dips. The rest of the guys jump in with various forms of clothing, and we starts the mandatory hook-up-in-the-pool scenes. The women play pass he ice cube - but Charla, who has already had her fill of champagne, just passes out.

Charla is now awake - and she may have wished that she wasn't. Like the whipped cream party, she wants out of here, and the scenes of high school are disturbingly coming back to her. She's better off not seeing Tara and Holly double-teaming Alex. You'll never ever catch me doing that.' says Charla - as we then flashback to her doing the same thing to Scott. Speaking of which, Scott joins Alex with Holly and Tara, and they whoop it up. 'Kristin who?' asks Alex.

Scott tells Charla of whats going on. Her response? 'Better her than me'. 'Scott's reply? 'Oh, really?'. Tom consoles Charla, and they share a few smooches before going to bed. hmmmmm....

The women talk about Tara and Scott's escapades last night - and they are greeted by a special Pandora's Box. Like last week, only the ladies can ask questions of the guys. Amy and Scott talk strategy - and they say that the wild card is Desiree. They figure it out - but it's too late, as Charla and Desiree already makes a pack to join Tara and Charla, pinky-swear and all.

The men also get a notice - that the spa will be open. 'Shouldn't the past 9 weeks have been enough for the girls to make their decision?' asks Alex, who realizes that the guys must massage and treat the girls on their every whim. The women get pedicures, manicures and massages. Dave goes the extra yard and gets the ladies cocktails, and Keith compliments him with fruit and ice cream.

Back to the women. 'Who do I think would do nasty things to win?' says Charla, who points the women to get rid of Alex. None of them want to see him win the game, and all of them point to moments where Alex wants to get rid of each of them. Tara confirms it with Scott, who tells him that he has nothing to worry about. That worries Scott.

But it worries Keith even more, after Charla tells him that they are planning on getting rid of Alex. Keith wants Charla to take out the 'Top Dog', but Charla wants nothing to do with that. Keith attempts to put his foot down, and Charla looks like she will comply, but her actions seems to say otherwise...

Pandora's Box time. Dave is asked why people think that Keith is kissing his ass. Once again, Dave gets caught, and he apologizes to Keith. Tom is asked who can be trusted, and he answers Amy. Tom said that he would room with Amy - and Desiree looks concerned. Dave is asked why he hasn't hung out with Charla - and he answers that the fact that they haven't roomed together makes it look like they are not close. Scott is asked which women he would pick to room with - and he says Holly - and they have connected from day 1 - which has everyone whoop at him.

Who would Keith rather see win - Charla or Tara? He says Tara - because they have jelled since day 1. Alex is asked who he trusts the most - and he says Desiree and Holly, due to their problems in the past. That raises some eyebrows, but unbeknownst to everyone else, he and Amy are keeping their underground alliance a secret.

Amanda comes back with another wrinkle - the women vote now as to which guy can stay - without being worried about being eliminated. The guys leave to the bar while the women deliberate. Tom 'I have yet to win anything.' Alex 'Me too, and I have been here for 10 weeks.'

Amy wants to nominate either Scott or Alex. Charla agrees - but only because the person who is left out will be the obvious target to go home. The women vote via secret ballot, and Amanda announces to the guys that the man who is safe - is Scott. Scott is relieved, while Keith and Dave are stunned. Scott celebrates by having a nightcap with Holly. Keith celebrates by calming Dave down - then asking Tara what happens - and Tara saying that Charla switched the plan and Charla telling Dave that there's a big misunderstanding. 'If that happens on vote-off, then one of us goes home.' says Dave.

I don't see it happening on vote-off - and I see Alex going bye-bye. On Wednesday, we'll see how the 4-headed monster known as Keith/Dave/Charla/Tara gets rid of Alex.

August 27, 2003
There is only one happy guy so far - and that's Scott. We will have 3 other happy guys - and one unhappy, evicted guy - when this episode is over. I still think that despite Dave and Keith's whining, that Alex is the next person to go.

Tom is not convinced that he isn't the person to go - so he serves all of the women breakfast in bed. Tara says thanks - with Dave still in the bed - while he serves food to Keith and Desiree, Keith is worried - and tells Tom that he needs him. Keith also tells Tara that he is pissed that he can't get rid of Scott - and he wants to get rid of Amy next week.

Charla is complaining to Dave - and Dave tells her that should could have sex if she wanted to. Charla's looking for love - and she can't find it. 'Who am I going to love here.' Dave's looking for friends - but he's feeling scorned from Charla - and is aggravated that Charla thinks of him as only a friend.

Dave wants to sing a song to the women - and he's just about as good as American Idol's Edgar. He wants the guys to sing along. But we get spared from the song - but we have to see Dave and his man-boobies on the beach. Keith tries to get Amy on his side - no dice. Keith explains his strategy - but Amy wants none of Keith. Meanwhile, we get the usual frolicking - and Tom going after Charla while Dave is sitting and getting jealous. This is the same Dave who doesn't see Charla as more than a friend - so he says. Yeah, ok. He talks to Holly, who tells him to say nothing and just let it be. Scott pulls Dave over and says the same thing, while Dave looks like he's going to explode.

Charla calls Dave to talk - and Alex is in Charla's room letting off steam. Alex asks Charla about the vote-off - and she says that she doesn't want people to ask her about how she votes. Of course not - since she has Alex's name written all over her vote.

Jeeves comes out - and everyone is invited to an evening of moonlight dancing. During the dancing, we see that Keith continues to court Charla, and Dave continues to get pissed. Meanwhile, Scott is warning Keith that Dave will blow up at him if he keeps messing with Charla. Keith doesn't care, and Dave talks about how he really does care about Charla. Tom is worried, but he has noting to worry about. Dave confronts Keith - and he apologizes to Dave, but I am smelling a backstab here - I don't think it will happen now - but I think it could happen soon...

It's time to get rid of a guy - and Tara has cuddling with Alex and 'I was thinking - Sayanora'. Alex is trying to campaign to get rid of Keith and Dave wants to make sure with Charla that Tom does not get sent home. Everyone agrees that Desiree is the swing vote - and we all know that she's voting to get rid of Alex.

The one person who doesn't care is Scott, so he is just hanging out. The men get a final shot at saying something - and Dave sings. Ugh. I will not bother with the lyrics and the men chime in. Meow, meow, meow.

It's time for the voting - and the women's votes will be made in public. Charla votes for Alex, Holly votes for Keith, Desiree votes for......Alex. 'With Dave, Keith and Tom, I just have a stronger bond with them.' That pretty much seals the deal, because Amy votes for Keith and we know that Tara will vote for Alex - which she does. 'This isn't anything personal, so I have to send you home, Alex.'

The guys join the ladies - and Alex is about to leave. After the obligatory montage, Alex gets his final words - and he takes it gracefully. After calling Charla not as innocent as she looks, Alex leaves, and wonders why some people haven't opened up. Well, maybe it's because they have been plotting behind your back...

After the elimination, Desiree realizes the mistake that she made - and she's crying about it and she realizes that she can't trust Tara and Charla. Tom can't stand Dave and they all talk to Amy about it. Amu, Scott and Holly all talk and the battle lines have been drawn anew. Scott/Holly/Desiree/Tom Vs. Keith/Tara/Dave/Charla - with Amy in the middle and wanting, well, 'Zack is my paradise.'

Or is she? We end with Zack returning - and Amy coming up to embrace him. Also returning - the rest of the departed cast. This can spell disaster for Keith and company - but will it? Or will they somehow be able to survive this new monkey wrench thrown at them? Find out in 5 days.

September 1, 2003
We are in Labor Day - and some people are laboring more than others. By the end of this episode, some people are REALLY going to be laboring - and more will want to be wishing that they were in labor or laboring away at work instead of lounging in the hotel.

We start with the guests being served deserts - and it's appropriate, because some people will be getting their just deserts. Amanda brings in the first surprise - and it's Zack! Zack has been invited back for a 2 day visit.

Dave asks how's the show - and the answer that Zack gives is not what he wants to hear. Zack tells everyone about the alliance - but I think everyone knew that already. Zack starts hating on Keith - who tells Zack that other people knew about his demise. Amy broke Zack off and they go down to chat.

Zack also talks to Amy about Scott. 'I will never talk to him after the show.'as Zack tells Amy how Scott betrayed the originals. Zack also tells Amy that he wants to join her to CA after the show.

But we're not here for the mush - we're here to watch Zack hate on the 4 headed monster. He does - and he tells Dave off. He accuses Tara of being the shadiest one there - and she and Amy get into it. Tara says that she only joined them because she didn't feel that she was liked from Amy. They get into it and they need to get their own room.

Amy and Zack do get their own room. Zack goes back and tells Amy how much he cares - and he gives her some jewelry and they hug - and smooch - and fo the horizontal macarena in the bed.

Charla's reaction? 'This is going to be something that I have to wait out.' But she gets some good news - Amanda is back too! She and Charla embrace, and she goes hang out with Keith, Dave and Tara. She greets Amy - and Amy responds with 'What's up, Liar?'.

Amanda says that her and Jason are no more - and she spills the dirt on Amy and Zack. Meanwhile, everyone is wondering why the people are coming back - and Keith thinks that it's a vote-on/replacement ceremony. I have to agree.

'This place is so not exciting anymore.' That comes from Beau - and he, Alex, and Kristin come in the same limousine. They immediately go after Charla and Tara. 'This is Barbie - I'm Ken!' yells Beau, and it's obvious that Keith/Dave/Charla and Tara are in a world of hurt. 'I want to thank everyone who voted me off - I had a great vacation...I saw a lot of things while I was out - we'll talk about that a little later.'

Amanda reminds the 4 that their time here is limited. They get into it with Keith - and none of them really have much to say in defense. 'We're back - we're back in action.' says a gleeful Beau.

Charla and Tara notice that Amanda has 2 large suitcases - and they think that contrary to what Amanda is saying, that at least some of them will be here for more than one day. Keith is also noticing that Desiree is chatting with the old guests - and that spells trouble for them. Charla has had enough - she wants to go home. Tara is trying to stop her. 'I'm not going to deal with this alone.'

Amy and Kristin are talking - and Amy wants to see them all go home. She may be getting her wish quickly - Tara says that if Charla leaves, that Tara leaves too. 'They are being so mean' - well, they wouldn't be, if you didn't plan to get rid of them behind their backs.

Desiree talks to Scott about trying to get to Dave to get rid of the women. Meanwhile, Beau tells Dave that he needs to be careful - because he is being used by Keith, Charla and Tara. Dave confronts Keith, who completely denies it. The old guests come out and wonder where Charla is. 'The truth is starting to come out.' Meanwhile, Charla and company accuses the old guests of being sore losers and hypocrites. Tara tells Dave and Keith that they better show up - or they will lose Charla.

Dave comes in to help - and Keith thinks that it will help it he will talk to Beau - in front of everyone. Oh yeah - why don't you wave a piece of meat in font of the sabre-tooth tiger. Dave also tries to tell Charla that people care about her, but she is whining and Dave has had enough. He leaves, and Tara and Charla are left in the bathroom to wallow - and maybe hide for the next 2 days.

Dave doesn't find Beau - but he finds Zack, who tells him that he needs to keep in mind that all of the people are saying the same thing about Keith - not just him. Meanwhile, Dave talks to Amy, who tells Dave that she has been upfront - and that she's been pissed off that Charla and Tara have been after her and hate her without them telling her to her face and saying stuff behind her back. Dave tries to say that Charla is shy, but Amy is not buying what Dave is selling and tells Dave that she is pissy because she feels guilty because all of the fingers are pointing at her. Amy also says that if Charla had any testicles that she would tell this to her face, and not hide behind him, Keith or Tara. The claws are all unsheathed...

Or are they? Amy and Zack are hanging out and Keith thinks that something big will happen. This comes in the form of MELANIE - the first person to leave the island - and she got knocked out by Charla. We're not done yet - we have one more MAJOR guest that I haven't seen that would be the big one - ANDON!!!! Well, no, it's not Andon that I was talking about, but he's here too. Tara is whining to Keith about how their place is no longer their place, while Keith realizes his huge mistake. 'I thought that they'd never come back.'

On the flip side, Amanda is nervous for them. 'I'm scared of what they will do.' For good reason - the guys have seen the shows - and Dave comes out to try to talk to the guys. That works as well as a sheep going to a wolf convention and all of the guys talk to Dave - but not about attacking him - but about showing him what Charla was doing. 'I didn't know how much hostility that I would have to deal with...it couldn't get any worse than this.'

Oh sure it can, because there is at least one guest with a HUGE Axe to grind. We'll see that on Wednesday when we await the appearance....of....TONI!!!!!!!!!!

We are here fot part 2 of 'Let's Bash on Keith, Dave, Tara and Charla', starring...everyone that they machinated to get rid of. This will take a while, so we won't bother going through the new people - just that they are threatening to make Dave and Keith leave - which wouldn't upset anyone.

Charla and Tara are also concerned - as is Holly, who all of a sudden realizes that thanks to Melanie (who had a big thing with Scott), she is very expendable. Everyone is looking for Charla, who (understandably) is still hiding in her room. Charla wants out 'I don't think I'm emotionally stable to handle this.' and she and Dave try to figure out what to do. 'When people feel outsmarted, they want to fight back.' says Dave, who believes that they were outsmarted.

Amy and Zack talk about his behavior - and he apologizes about how he acted n the show. Hold on to this moment - we'll be back later. Charla wants to know how she thought that she was hurting them. Uhhh...by lying to them and acting behind their back, that would sort of be that justification. We flip flop back and forth from Charla whining to the people downstairs making fun of her to Holly wondering what her place is in the game now that it seems like Scott is completely blowing her off for Melanie. Hmmmm....

Finally, Scott and Holly have some alone time, and Holly says that she would do a magazine cover shoot. Scott's reaction? 'Cool' Meanwhile, Kristin would vote to see win - Tom's Monkey. The monkey over the 4 headed monster.

Could the monster be growing heads? Dave talks to Scott about the reunion being the worst thing to happen in this game. 'I promise you, after what happened last night, sanity outweighs strategy.' says Dave., and it looks like the strategy of getting Scott onboard may be working.

How well will strategy work when everyone gets invited to the main room? Attendance is MANDATORY - and Charla doesn't want to get out of her room. 'I'm stuck in this weird place with all of these weird-ass munchkins.' She rants about the Wizard of Oz, and you wonder if her sanity is back in Kansas. Dave does eventually right herself and they go down to hear what Amanda (the host, not Beau's ex) has to say.

Amanda first shows up with the remaining houseguests - Kavita, Matt, Alex, and TONI!!!!! Amanda gives them a few more minutes to be reunited. Noticeably not there is Charla - and Toni immediately goes after Tara, calling her a liar. Gee, that didn't take long, did it?

Amanda tells everyone that their time is over - everyone has to leave - except two. That puts Charla's head in her hands, and Amanda tells then that although she said that no new guests will be going into the hotel, she didn't say anything about old guests coming back in - although she did say that once someone leaves, they can't come back in FOREVER!!!!! Sounds like more Love Cruise shenanigans.

The kicker is that, to be expected, the people in the hotel decide who gets to come back in. 'I suggest you watch what you say - and how you treat the current guests of Paradise - because it will be they who determine who comes back, and who goes home.' Matt and Kavita immediately go to comfort Charla, and the wooing is on. Andon goes over to talk to Dave, and he's not buying what Andon's selling. 'You did take it the wrong way...if you're big enough, you can sit down with me.' Dave tells Andon to go away, and he hugs Charla, before going off. Amanda comes over to complete the group, and once again, the battlelines have been drawn.

Zack starts to cross that line - and he goes after Keith. They yap at each other. 'I'll see you in Arizona when your brother is there - with about 50 other guys.' Zack is reminded that if he threatens anyone, he will be asked to leave, and Keith walks away from the table in disgust. 'I don't need to explain myself to anybody..I don't understand why he needs to demean other people to feel better.' For once, I agree with Keith - calling them liars is one thing, making personal attacks goes beyond the line. 'I was raised to respect people.' well, you didn't do that either, Keith, but I do agree that he's gone beyond the line. That being said, I don't think that most of the people think that they have a shot to stay - I think that they are just on for the ride and the enjoyment - and their pound of Keith and Dave's and Charla's and Tara's flesh.

Toni does the chronicling of Tara's adventures, and Scott is watching and also shaking his head. In Charla's room, Tara is challenging Charla's mental game, and trying to convince her to go on. From a friendship point, thats a beautiful thing - but from a strategy point, she should be showing Charla out the door, especially if the end game is what I think it will be - which is everyone voting on the final winners (aka Love Cruise). In order for Tara to have any shot to win, she needs Charla in the jury - not as the person she's going against.

Going back to the earlier post, Alex goes after Dave - and Dave tells him not to touch him. Matt, meanwhile, is trying to do the right thing and is there to play his guitar to everyone. Matt and Amanda are playing the game is it should be - instead of pissing everyone off, they are trying to get back into the house, and it wouldn't surprise me if they get in - except that the women (Desiree, Amy and Holly) have the edge - UNLESS the woman that Amy wants to bring in is Melanie...

Toni doesn't want to come back in either - she's out to call Dave out and get her pound of flesh. That also annoys Dave and it sends him out. Matt is there just to chat with Charla - and they vent too. Talk about games people play...

And we get to the next one - a very interesting Pandora's Box. The guests get to ask questions of the people in the house - and we get to see more venom from the departed. 'They don't deserve a second of my time.' says Charla, who gets cheered up from the Ice Cream. Dave decides to call themselves the Barbie Group. The Barbie group may be getting some new members - Holly is sick of the old people coming back, and the lack of attention for Holly from Scott is more than being exploited by Dave. This could be spelling the end for Scott, as the Barbies now have the majority of both men and women on their side.

We get more dirt - and this one comes from Amy, who finds out that Alex voted for Tara instead of Amy. 'I'm not going to take it to heart - I'm just going to keep it in mind.' says Amy, and Alex just wrote his way back off of the show. Not that it matters, because we know that Amy would vote for Zack, right?

With that in mind, we start the Pandora's Box. Toni is asked about talking smack and pointing fingers - and she says that she is better, and that's all she's going to say. Amanda was talking about lies - and she only said that she lied to Beau - and that she hopes she gets a second chance. Andon was asked on who he'd vote off - and he says Keith - because he's the most powerful person in the game. Kristen doesn't find the behavior embarrassing (flashback to all of the embarrassing behavior). Beau actually admires Dave for standing up to the behavior.

Dave talks about dignity, pride and class, and Zack says that the people who are still there aren't being there. That breaks it down and people are calling other people out. Matt says that he doesn't trust anyone if he is left back in the hotel.

Here comes Amanda - and she says that the men will be selecting the women, and the women will be selecting the guys. We also get the penalty for Zack going after Keith - Zack will not be able to come back into the hotel. That surprises some of the guests, and Keith is happy about it. 'What I think about him being ineligible is...I kicked him off again.'

And so this episode is kicked off as well - kicked to the curb. So now what do I think of the people? Well, this episode changes my opinion a little - what happens when the nice people have the strategy sense of an avocado and the mean people are the best players in the game? Well, this episode caps it up in a nutshell. On Monday, we get to see more scheming before we finally see who gets to be let back in the hotel.

September 8, 2003
This concludes the triligy of episodes of the returning guests (until they bring them back for the finale - but we'll get there in a few weeks - not like you can't see that coming from a mile away). Turning from the future and into the present, the current competitors get to bote on a past competitor who will be a future competitor - get it? The 4 headed monster gets it - and they are trying to add Scott and Holly into their crew to make it a majority. If that happens, them you may as well pencil Dave, Charla, Tara and Charla into the final 4.

We have a ways to go before we get there, though, so lets go back to our frenetic guests. 'I feek kike Zack has a lot of ill feelings towardd Keith - and it call came out at one time.' Andon has the understatement of the episode, as he recaps what happend at the end. Andon comes to console Zack - and he and Beau talk to Zack about how to get on. Zack wants nothing to do with the 4 headed monster when he leaves. 'There's no one (else) I want to be around.'

Toni Toni accuses Tara of lying. 'I've seen the tapes, sweetie.', says Toni, and Tara and company needs to be reminded that the rest of the shows have been seen by the rest of the group. She alst reminds Tara that she said that she wouldn't be Toni's friend in real life. Tara tries to protest, but Toni reminds her that she said it on the tape, and as Desiree is hearing this, Toni leaves to get a few drinks.

Zack does spend the night with Amy - and they consummate their love for each other. AwwwwwwBarf. Charla sahres the night commiserating with Keith - and she and Tara tries to rationalizing their behavior by calling them liars, though they were doing the lying to start with. This has more weird conversation than a Sun Yung Moon get-together. Charla winds up this segment by comiserrating her love - for Tara, Keith and Dave. AwwwwBleagh.

Back to the strategy part of the show - Kavita, Charla and Tara talk about getting a guy to come on - and they talk about recruiting Andon. Meanwhile, Andon, as we all know, has made a pact with Beau, Zack and Amy to try to get into the house - and to wreck the 4 headed monster. He chats with Charla - and it appears to be working. 'I don't like them - and me goal is to tear them apart - mentally - so they don't know what hit them.' He talks to Tara, and she stays tight-lipped.

In the other corner of the house, Holly talks to Beau about strategy - he is thinking Melanie or Toni, while Holly is thinking Beau or Alex. They both want to get rid of thr 4 headed monster, and are making plans to do so. Tara also wants to see Melanie come on - just simply because Melanie may not go after them. Andon tells Tara that Dave looks like he's losing it - and Dave is indeed losing it, as he looks to Keith for sanity.

Holly is also looking for sanity, as she confronts Scott in wondering what's going on. Scott says that he was seeing people that he hasn't seen in 2 months. They break down, and that spells trouble for Holly...meanwhile, Dave doesn't want Andon back - and he's feeling guilty that he has gotten all of these negative feelings towards him. Charla sees it otherwise. 'Why should you care if people like you or not?' Because they may decide who wins this game, Charla. Charla seems oblivious to this, as she tells Dave to not care about the rest of them.

We are up to the last breakfast - and Amy is pissed. 'I'm on a mission to get some people.' Meanwhile, Kavita is disgusted over the women's squabbling and is clearly on the side of Tara and Charla. They run into Melanis, who apologizes - and they seem to like her, but little do they know...'I want to get back in the game - even if it means getting on Tara and Charla's good side.' We get more bitching and moaning as Matt tries to brownnose his way back in. Uhh...Matt - you need to talk to the Amy/Desiree/Holly trio - they have the power...

Melanie really want to stay in the game - and she tells Holly to not worry about it - they are just friends. Sure, I've heard this before - but Melanie seems to be playing fair, telling Scott that Holly likes Scott - but I think Scott likes Melanie more. Zack is complaining again - and Zack decides to vent. 'Hide out, backstab, cheat and lie to people, then you'll be a wonderful American.' Zack recites Braveheart and he talks about wanting to start a new life with Amy.

Dave and Beau get into it - and Dave doesn't want anyone to play him against Charla - but the guys remind him that him and Charla aren't exactly in love. WHile they get into it, Keith wants nothing to do with this and he decides to lay low in his room and think about how to get rid of Amy. Speaking of Beau, he talks to Amanda - and Amanda sees the shows and noices that Beau supported him. 'I had no idea that we were that OK until I left.' They reconcile, which turns into another Awwwwwbarf moment.

Holly does not want to see an AwwwwwBarf moment with Scott and Melanie. She talks to Scott, and he accuses her (playfully) of being jealous. She denies it, but Scott is not buying what Holly is selling and he realizes that he needs to be careful to not alienate Holly.

Zach apologizes to the guests for his behavior - and he says that he is on his way out - but he wishes everyone the best of luck. All of the guests will be needing some luck - because during the dinner, it's time to vote on who gets to come back into the hotel. The current guests have voted - and it's time to get to the results. We will be doing this vote by vote, apparently. Here are the people that got no votes - Matt and Alex, which means that either Andon or Beau sticks around. Amy votes for Beau, Desiree voted for Beau, Tara voted for Andon and Charla voted for Andon. That surprised me, because I thought it would be the other way around - and Dave is now very nervous. Dave can be less nervous though - Holly votes for Beau, and he gets to come back in. 'In this situation, it will always be a what if - and leaving out of this situation with a 'what if' isn't good.

Now for the women. The women who didn't get any votes included Amanda, Kristin and Toni (AwwwwwwwwwBooo hoo hoo hoo). So it's doen to Kavita (working for the 4 headed monster) and Melanie (working for the originals). Scott and Tom both voted for Melanie, while Dave and Keith both voted for Kavita. 'Since the gentleman are split on this one - ladies it's up to you.'

The ladies have to choose who gets in. We get the vote on company lines here - Amy and Desiree vote for Melanie, while Tara and Charla vote on Kavita. It's not time for Holly to vote - and she holds her destiny in her hands. What will be less threatening to her? Another person in the 4 headed monster alliance or a woman who used to be connected to the guy that she is currently with? Holly votes for Melanie, and Toni screams for approval. Beau carries in her arms and brings her back to the couch. They are the final 11. Amanda thanked the former guests for coming back, but it's time to go. They get their final goodbyes - Amanda, Toni, and Zack all hug, and they all disappear like ghosts in the night.

Dave takes a victory out of it. 'The visitors tried hard to get me and Charla apart, and they didn't succeed.' They rant about that, but what the originals did succeed in, though, was to get numbers in their alliance - and they now have an edge.

Will that help them in terms of eliminations? We will find out on Wednesday.

September 10, 2003
For Keith, Tara, Charla and Dave, the past week was Paradise Lost, as they not only have been found out, they have lost the advantage of numbers, as Beau and Melanie, who certainly don't like any of them, get to come back into the house. The originals have the numbers - but do they have the brains? So far, the answer has been no, as they have gotten outplayed by the 4 headed monster. Does that change tonight? Or do the newbies find a way to keep the edge?

Melanie is excited to be back. 'It's going to be a crazy week, but I'm looking forward to it.' She almost wasn't, but the 4some failed to get rid of her, and Charla thinks that they are going to pay for it. Dave likes her. but 'It's going to be interesting to see how she plays with her and Scott.' Dave is a very smart guy - so he obviously is going for the exploitable weakness - Scott Vs. Holly Vs. Melanie.

Back to the originals. Beau does not want to room with Charla or Tara, while Charla is still trying to rationalize their game play. Meanwhile, Amy and company will not stoop down to their level to play the game. Charla wants to watch the tapes with Amy. Based on what you have done on the show, Charla, no you don't. Charla does have a point as she says that Zach has been playing the game by sleeping with all of the women.

Beau is talking strategy - and to tell everyone to notice everything. He needs to notice that they are back to picking couples. Melanie and Beau picks first - and they can't select anyone else. No one is getting eliminated, but someone will be the outsider. Beau selects Amy (which is to be expected), while Melanie selects...Keith? 'I'm trying to eliminate Tara or Charla.'Desiree goes after Tom. 'Tom and his monkey must be doing something right.' says Amanda. 'He's doing everything right.' jokes back Desiree, and the group goes nuts. Tara also picks Tom. 'It will be a very crowded room, including the monkey.' Tara says that she is saving Dave for Charla. Charla picks Dave and Holly chooses Scott.

Tom has to choose between Tara and Desiree. Tom decides to pick...Tara? But he makes perfect sense...'Desiree - I trust you the most - I feel that the person who will be the Outsider will have some sort of power, and I want you to have that power. I don't want you to be mad at me for this. I hope to G-d that it works out...Tara, I want you to be my roommate.' Tara is the roommate and Desiree is the outsider. 'I stand by him 100%.'

Dave and Charla are together, and Dave praises the people for learning how to play the game. The originals have been praising Tom as well. Amy - 'To me, it's good vs. evil.' They plot to get rid of Dave first. Meanwhile, Dave and Charla make fun of everyone else, for making fun of them. Sure, that's mature. 'Even if we're the next 4 out, we did our best...we're going to play the game, have some fun, and enjoy th rest of Paradise.'

Beau talks strategy at the pool - and they realize that they need to take out the top 4. They recap how hypocritical Charla has been, and how Dave has been lying. Dave tries to be honest and Desiree is not buying what Dave is selling. 'Charla knows what's up and I know what's up and that's what it is.' Dave is told by Desiree to shut up - which pisses off Dave. Dave gets verbally bitch-slapped by Desiree, and any thought that he can sweet talk people into playing his game has been swept by the wayside.

We have a new invite - and everyone is invited to a jungle party! Costumes will be provided by costume supplies. Dave decides to be a zebra, while Charla decides to be a snake. 'I may as well be what everyone thinks I am.' Tom and Holly play peek-a-boo as Tom is, of course, a Monkey. Everyone has fun - except Charla and Dave, who sits by themselves at the table. 'This is how it's pretty much been all Summer' says Dave. Amy has a little too much fun, and smacks her head on the pool floor when diving off Beau. She is stuck with an ice bag on her head for the rest of the night.

Charla has had enough and retires for the evening. WHile that happens, Melanie reminds everyone that Charla knocked her out. 'Melanie, I think it sucks that you had to leave and she stays.' That gets heard by Charla, who turns around and storms off. Dave, watching Charla get bashed yet again, decides to make a vase of flowers and give it to her as a present.

The originals continue to scheme as a storm comes onto the island. The storm continues to Scott's room as he tells Holly that there is no one that flirts more than she does. They get into a screaming match, which lets Holly scream 'who cares?' They argue all the way to bed. Thats not a good sign - and we'll get to this later on in the episode.

Charla and Tara decide to work out - sort of, as they mock the guys. Amy and Scott find envelopes that they are invited to go on a cruise. Dave whispers in Scott's ear that he can talk to him about the decision - and Beau, being next to Dave, automatically calls Dave on it. Dave wants to know how he's being sneaky - and Beau calls his whispering to Scott - when he didn't hear it - as sneaky.

So who gets to go on an excursion? Scott takes Holly and Desiree, while Amy takes Beau and Tom. That leaves the 4 headed monster - and Melanie. Desiree wants to know why Charla keeps taking advantage of him, and they tell her that he loves her - but she doesn't love him. Sure enough, Charla is telling Dave that he cares for him - and that she wants to keep in touch with him after the gems. Dave wants to know why - and we get another flashback of the mean things Charla has done to Dave - and clips of Matt having a physical relationship with Charla. They end up hugging each other - but they are still confused, and the originals wonder if they can exploit that.

Tara and Charla discuss strategy - and try to figure out how to set up the vote so that they avoid to be eliminated. While everyone is scheming, they all get invites for the next Pandora's Box ceremony. Here we go..and we start out with a nasty one - would Scott select Holly or Melanie and why? Scott says Holly because he spent more time with her - and that doesn't make Melanie look too happy. Tara wants to know if she is glad to have Beau back - though she voted for Andon to stay on. She says that he is glad - and that Beau seemed bitter. Way to state the obvious.

Holly is asked if she got jealous when Scott spent more time with Melanie. Holly says no, but the flashbacks dictate otherwise and we see that Holly is trying to play damage control. She trusts Scott 100%. Sure she does...Charla is asked why she deserves to be here. 'I don't feel like I deserve to be here - I cry all the time...if I'm voted off, then good luck to everyone and have fun.' That's the most honest answer so far.

Dave is asked when he's going to be a real man - and Dave says that he thinks that he's a real man now. 'I'll continue to be myself like I have been all Summer long.' Amy is asked why she is jealous of Tara. Charla says that she hasn't said it, but Amy said that she has heard it - and she says that she isn't jealous of her. 'I have everything that you have - and more.' Meeeeeeooooooow.

Dave sees how they have taken power - and now they are the underdogs. Keith (who is surprisingly spared) and Tara defrost after the session, while Amy defrosts from the jealousy statement. Amy realizes what's going on after the previously evicted came in to clue them in. Meanwhile, Holly and Scott kiss and make up.

Keith is now hating the game - 'It was fun - when we were winning.' Honestly Keith, you didn't play the game well. You violated rule #1 in terms of reality games - never assume. You played the game like you would never see these people again after they were gone - and you even knew that in Survivor, some of the eliminated come back as the jury. Then you made fun of them behind their backs before and after they were gone. All 4 of you back stabbed people out of the game - that's why you are not well-liked.

Here's the difference between the 2 groups - the originals played the game as it was made to be played - looking for relationship and getting rid of people who didn't fit - while the Barbies played the game in terms of how I'm not sure that it was meant to be played - throwing relationships out the window and playing the game just as a matter of survival. That's how it degenerated in Love Cruise - but the producers obviously saw that's where this was going and changed the rules to even out the playing field.

So which side played the game better? We will find this out starting next week, as we start the final end game.

September 13, 2003
It's pretty apparent that we have a 4 headed monster, and 7 people who want to get rid of it. We also know that there would be no drama if they are all gone before the end. We have seen the producers screw things up so they can stay in the house - will that continue? Will there be fair challenges at the end, or will we see another Love Cruise mess where The producers scheme their way into seeing who they want in the finals?

We start with Scott chewing out Dave for not getting him to come to breakfast - and Dave says that he hasn't seen him. The women all come for breakfast - and they find out that thy will all be preparing lunch. The guys remember when they had to pamper the women - and now it's their turn. Amy wants to know what the guys have to do for them - until she is reminded that the women are in jeopardy. 'That sucks' is her reply.

What Scott thinks sucks is that Dave is found out in terms of his scheming - and he finds Dave and let's him have it. Dave says that he is trying to play the game, but Scott accuses Dave of being sneaky and Scott is pissed. Dave says that he wasn't playing the game correctly, and that excuse just pisses off Scott even more. Any shot that Dave can get Scott in his group has gone by the wayside.

Melanie talks to Amy, and she explains to her that she was shocked on how close Scott was with Holly. Melanie, who truly wanted to hook up with Scott, is confused, and Amy can't rally help her out there. Beau comes in - and he says that he wants Tara off first. 'I want to play this game with people who I can trust'.

Melanie feel like she can't trust Scott - and she confronts him in terms of that. Melanie tries to snuggle with Scott, but he sees where it's going and he immediately gets off of the bed. Melanie wants to get rid of Charla - oh Holly, and Scott sees that he's in a difficult spot.

Tara gets to make Dave's salad. 'I promise you no spiders or worms.' The girls come to their little hand made kitchen - and it now dawns on them that yes, they do have to cook. They have to cut meat, and the women have never done it. The guys are finding it out as they are preparing the food. 'Charla, you are scaring me with the knife.' says Beau. 'I hope she doesn't stab me in the back.' says Dave - and we'll see if that doesn't come back to bite him in the rear...

The girls invite the guys to help taste the food - and Beau says 'Stay away from the meat.', which is very raw - as are the nerves of the players. Charla talks about her family to Dave, and Tara talks to Keith about how hers. Dave says that his family was getting divorced - and that he was constantly getting teased. Never could have guessed that, Dave.

The guests are given questionnaires - and they are asked who their greatest rival - and allies - are. They are filling it out, and you sort of get that feeling that this is going to be used later. They all think that this could be the voting to get rid of people, but I don't think it would be that simple. Dave and Keith decide to put themselves as Ally - and they are figuring out who everyone would put down. 'I just don't like thinking stuff - but there's so much stuff to think about.'

All of the women are planning on leaving - and Amy says that she would not backstab someone to win the GRAND PRIZE. Beau tries to convinces her otherwise, but Amy is convinced that she is coming out a winner. 'I have ever betrayed my fiends and I am not going to do it now...this game is about testing relationships...' starts Amy, and she breaks down into a blubbering mess and has to relieve herself in the bathroom.

All of the women are saying their goodbyes. Tara and Charla are so glad that they met each other. Even Keith is saying that - until Beau mentions that 'Just when you think that it happens, something else pops up.' Charla tells Dave that she's leaving it up to G-d, while Amy wants to go home - and Beau verbally bitch laps here into coming back. 'Don't you dare give up on me now.'

One of the women will be giving up - by force. It's time for the women to be eliminated - but first, it's time for the women to choose their partner. Desiree chooses first - and she picks Tom. Amy selects Beau, Melanie, as we all know, goes to Scott - but doesn't pick him. Instead, she goes to...Dave. She's betting on a twist in the envelope - and I bet there is one too - but the questions is - what is the twist?

Holly, with the free reign, goes over to Scott, naturally, while Charla picks Dave as well and Tara goes to Keith. 'If anyone is going to send me home tonight, it will be Dave.' says Charla. But the twist doesn't come out yet...as we find out that whoever Dave gets rid of does indeed get to leave. Dave decides to be loyal to Charla, and he picks her Melanie is expecting a twist - and she's going to get it - but not in the way that she planned. 'With all our twists and turns, this one is a shocker...Melanie - you will not be the only women checking out tonight'.

So who else goes? Melanie was asked to name her biggest rival - and she says Charla. She is then asked to name her allies - and she says Amy and Desiree. Melanie gets to read an envelope presented to her - which says that she must select an ally - to take home and out of the game. 'We thought this was going to happen.' despairs Melanie. Desiree decides to make this easy - and she decides to take the bullet. 'Amy deserves it more than anyone here.'. Amy is asked how she feels about it - and she stared daggers at Amanda. 'Like Sh#t.'

So we are down to 9 people - and the 4 headed monster survived another bullet. Charla is shocked that Melanie is still holding a grudge. Tara rationalizes this to Charla. 'I would like to think that the more people hate me, the more G-d loves me.' says Charla. Sure, that makes sense.

Beau, Amy and Tom all get to hang out - with the realization that if this is the same format next time (which it should be), then Tom and his monkey will be leaving and either Beau or Scott will be joining them. Not hanging out with either group is Holly and Scott - and Holly asks Scott on why he doesn't hang out, Scott doesn't care - and asks Holly why she doesn't care that Melanie is leaving. Scott wonder about that, and Holly makes the dumb-ass move of the episode and asks him if he would have picked Melanie over her. That sends Scott over the edge and he leaves the bed. Holly apologizes, but that's not good enough for Scott and he leaves her. Could this be the beginning of the end for this relationship?

Could this be the beginning of the end for Scott? We'll see on Wednesday if that is the fact - or if the Tom's monkey has eaten it's last banana.

September 15, 2003
We went from 11 to 9 - and now we will go from 9 to 7. The guys are in jeopardy - and we have 2 guys who will be going bye-bye.

Dave orders huevos rancheros for everyone - and it's leaving some bad taste in people's mouths. Tom and Beau jump on Dave immediately, while Amy, who is visibly shaken over last episode's departures, shows up late for breakfast. We get a flashback of all of her friends leaving, one by one, and she goes a little loopy over breakfast. She's munching away at the cereal, while Tara and Charla are first brandishing silverware under the table, then decide to leave the table altogether.

Tara and Charla decide to bodypaint each other, giggling as they do so. Amy asks Beau if they can drown both of them in the pool. Keith beats them to it, and they leave as Keith play with the girls. 'It's not worth it to be miserable and unhappy to the end.' says Amy, as she once again wants to quit - and Beau has to remind her that Zach wants her here. Beau accuses Amy of collapsing and demands that she is strong.

We have some lunch - and an envelope, inviting everyone to a midnight Seance to be hosted by Madame Judith. Ooooooooohhhh. Flash forward 12 hours to 12 am. Keith wants to know who will win - and Tom is wondering if he can put a hex on the game so that he doesn't go home. Scott and Holly are playing around - but will they be so jovial after the seance?

It's time to meet Madame Judith - and Keith wants to know how their lives will be affected by the game. Judith says that Tara is going to have some problems with maters of the heart, Amy will have a better understanding with less depression, Scott will have a lot of surprises coming to him, which will bring him money, Holly will be doing well in politics, Keith will have a lot of power - and he will be able to finish things, Charla is on a higher level with people because she is special - she will be triumphant with her enemies. Hmmmm....

Tom wants to know about his grandfather - since he never said goodbye to him. He talks to him about his death on the way to the hospital and he says a prayer for him. Judith says that his grandfather loves him - and that he will be looking out for him. Tom says that he loves him back...AwwwwwBarf.

It's time to discuss strategy - and Holly tells Scott that they are stuck in a rut. This is NOT what you want to be telling your partner. Dave also wants to screw up relations with partner as he goes to a heart-to-heart with Charla 'You can shave your head completely and smear make-up all over your face - you would still look beautiful'. Uhhh....yeah.

Tom, who right now doesn't have a partner, decides that it's time to monkey around, He throws a party at the monkey bar. We see baton twirling, silly string fights, and Charla looking like a big ball of yarn. 'I guess I learned people's true feeling about me.' It took you NOW to know this?

Beau and Dave has talked - and Dave feels guilty about voting Beau out the first time. He says that he has no reason to not trust him. Beau just wants to play the game - and he says that he won't play the wrong way. 'I just want to have a good time, Dave.' While Dave is calling, Charla is telling Dave that she's lonely, which has everyone tell Dave that he's whipped. Dave says that it's a relationship, and they all tell him to make a move on her, with Tom telling him to act drunk and fall on top of her. That's nice, Tom.

So where is Charla? watching Keith and Tara play at the pool. They see that - and they see that Dave is alone in his room, so they all come to help Dave with Charla. Dave needs this as much as he needs Toni naked in his room, and he tells Charla to come in and go to bed. Too late - all 3 come in and they invade Dave's room. Dave takes it personally and he makes them all leave - but it's too late, as Charla decides to sleep with Tara and Keith. That really pisses off Dave, who is steaming mad at Charla. He goes to Charla to tell her to come back, but she's made up her mind and sleeps with Tara and Keith. Dave is steamed - and winds up sleeping alone. As for Charla? 'We wind up sleeping in different beds, anyway - what's the difference?' OUCH.

Charla comes back to the room - and sleeps in the different bed. She wonders why Dave is mad, but it's obvious as he is starting to realize that what he thinks about her is not what she thinks about him. He brings that out to Charla, who responds 'This is the dumbest argument that I've ever had n my life.' Dave counters with 'It's frustrating that every single person who comes in here thinks that our friendship is one-sided' and that shuts up Charla, who is left blank. More seeds of dissension?

Two people will be dissenting right now, as the gentleman will now be lining up for the elimination ceremonies (or probably, ceremonies). Keith is confident - Dave much less so, as he thinks that he's going home. Beau - 'You want to be here - but there are 4 other guys who are thinking the exact same thing.'

So here we go with the ceremony - and Tom goes first. He picks...Charla? He says that it's his best way to stay in the game - because he's been rejected by the other women. Dave is up next, and he immediately goes for Charla. The rest is easy - Beau picks Amy, Keith picks Tara and Scott picks Holly. It's time for Charla to eliminate someone, and I don't see how she can pick Tom. She doesn't. 'I'm going to have to go with Dave.' Tom and his monkey gets Smokeyed.

But wait - we have that happy little twist again - and a second guy is going. After Tom hugs everyone, we find out that TOm is asked who he wants to get rid of. Now if Tom was smart, he would notice that Amanda has the magic envelope which screwed the girls last week - and if he was truly playing the game, he would think about it. Of course, Tom is as smart as your jungle variety set of vines, so he says Dave. He then gets the envelope, and reads it, which states that he will not only leaving Paradise - but the man of his choice will. D'oh!

Tom gets to leave Paradise - and Dave has to decide who gets to join him. If he was smart, Scott would be the person to go - since he is the only one left with a woman - but if Beau sticks around, then Holly stays on as the vulnerable single - instead of Amy. After Dave tells Beau that he won't boot him out, Dave chooses the person that he wants out...is Beau.

Dave has made some tactical errors before, but this is by far, the biggest. 'I guess you're not a man of your word.' says Beau. Dave tries to worm out of it, but Beau is not buying what Dave is selling, and if Dave had ANY shot of winning the game based on the vote at the end, he flushed it down the toilet. Dave wants strategy - and is trying to get Holly to their side to try to get rid of Amy and Scott, who are reconciling together 'I really want this over with.' Dave feels bad for Amy - well you didn't have to, as you should have gotten rid of Scott. Even Scott thinks that Dave made the wrong move - and he accuses Dave of waffling. Amy feels like she is going home - so she's going to make her last nights known. This is going to spell trouble for the 4 headed monster.

Charla thinks that Amy is going to win - but Amy is once again alone - and if the ceremony is what it was before, she is going to need a LOT of help. Will she get it on the 2 hour supersized episode on Sunday? Wait and see...

September 22, 2003
We are back for the second to last episode of Paradise Hotel. We have three more people to toss out - and my guess is that it will be Scott, Amy and Holly.

Charla is convinced that she isn't going to win - and since we are getting all of these clips with her saying, it's rather obvious that she will win this. Meanwhile Amy, the person that Charla says will win, is now really all alone - but she still has a few days to make Dave miserable - and she goes after him because he sent Beau home. Dave's reaction? 'Someone has to go - it suckks, but someoen has to go.' The problem, Dave, is that you told Beau that he would e safe - and you've told everyone this, which is why no one likes you.

Today is Tara's birthday - and she is talking to Keith. 'I am trying to kick everybody out so I can win.' At least Keith has always been open about it, instead of Dave, who's been plotting behind people's backs. Dave then sings a happy birthday song in front of Charla, which is making her wince. They get all of the decorations ready for Tara - but without Scott, who is sick. Dave and company sings for Tara, and my ears, already scarred from American Idol, once again run into the bathroom.

Tara is reminded about her mom, who is paralyzd form a car accident - and how everyone cheered her up. AwwwwwBarf. Keith plays 'American Ggolo with Tara, as he does a good Chippendales impression. He then does his best Richard Gere impression with Tara later that night in bed.

The next morning, the cast is greeted at breakfast with a belly dancer - and a note saying that it's time to emulate the Arabian Nights - followed by Pandora's Box. The hotel staff present the (rather skimpily clad) costumes. which they don - with some modifications - like Dave keeping his upper torso clothed. Keith hates snakes - I wonder how come he's been able to hang out with Dave for so long. Charla, on the other hand, has no propblem with the snake - which also, probably feels better than Dave. The women do some belly dancing of their own.

I'm not the only one to provide the nastiness for the evening - Pandora's Box is up. Amy still says that she wants Keith gone. Tara says that between Holly and Amy, she wants Amy gone. Charla is asked if she seduced any of the guys - and if she was turned down. Charla admits that she tried - and failed - to seducs Scott. Dave was asked about sending Beau home - and he said that those people would be more into watching his back. Dave also says that it was in his mind to take Keith out, too - and that was an incredibly stupid thing to say in front of Keith. Scott gasped, Keith gasped - and maybe a cameraman or two gasped.

Keith is asked if it was as easy to eliminate Dave as it was Zack - and Keith says, if it was down to those two, yes. Dave stares at them, and both of those couples are having words with each other as they go back into the rooms. Here's the difference - Dave is seen as back stabbing, while Keith is playing it as it is - and even Amy is flashbacking that she trusts Keith over Dave. Dave and Keith try to rectify this at the pool, and it's very apparent that it's not going to be settled.

The next morning, everyone get the invite that it's time for a woman to check out - and Amy is checking her bags at the door. Tara and Keith need to check their balance, as they slip in the bathroom thanks to Tara's stunt. Charla tries to convince Amy that she is going to stay, but she says 'It's not the walk of shame - it's the walk of freedom'. Amy tells Scott that she isn't going to think about how if goes. Meanwhile, Tara and Charla are practicing the 'Walk of Shame', which causes Dave to freak out. They do a good job of imitating Amanda, while Charla saunters off, swinging her booty.

'I want this to go to somebody who deserves this.' says Amy, who says that not only does the 4 headed monster not deserve to win this, she's going to win this. Not without a partner, you won't - and I don't see you getting picked up with anyone. Meanwhile, Tara and Charla are talking - and Tara realizes that Dave wrote the question to her about getting rid of Amy because everyone thinks that there will be a twist which will give Amy the power to send someone home - and that person would be Tara. Hmmmmm....

Scott and Holly are nervoue anout tonight. Keith is worried about Dave turning on him - and Tara tells Charla who tells Dave. Dave tells Charla that they are teammates until the Final Four. UNTIL the final four? Hmmm...Meanwhile, Amy says that she will just smile when she goes up the steps and gets eliminated.

We will find out now who will be eliminated, as Amanda goes over the rules. This is also the final roommate selection, so choose wisely. Whoever does not have a roommate goes home - which means to me that there's no twist. That means that Amy is going to be toast - and to solidify the state of toastiness, she picks Keith. 'I've only got 3 words - Why? Why? Why?' says Amanda. Amy says that she will not put Scott in the position to make a decision to choose between her and Holly, and that all of the leftover women flock to Dave. OUCH. Charla, the leftover woman, wants t be with Dave - until the end. Tara, of course, goes to Keith, and Holly sticks with Scott.

Amy thinks that there will be a twist, but apparently, she was not listening carefully to Amanda, and Keith has the final decision. Keith selects Tara, so Amy is sent packing home. We see the Amy montage, with her, Zack, Keith and the whole drama line. 'It's all kind of gone downhill since there.' Keith does indeed win the war with Amy - for now. 'It's my time to go - and I'm fine with it.' she also pledges her allegiance to Scott and Holly - as she hugs both of them. She hugs the 4 headed monster as well and then she runs off on the Walk of Freedom. 'I love Zack, and it's the greatest feeling in the world to come on out and say that - and mean it.'

With that out of the way, we have the final three couples. In the next elimination ceremony, it will be down to 2 couples. But, as always, there's a twist - one of the 6 people will have the power to get rid of the last couple. Dave congratulates everyone, and Tara provides the toast. Everyone will be going on a special excursion - the boats leave at 7am, which has the girls moan. Keith is smiling. 'I'm really glad that every single person who said they wanted me out - is gone.'

Now with the pleasantries out of the way, it's time to discuss strategy. Dave says that he wants the power (duh). Meanwhile, Keith and Tara discuss strategy. They feel that Scott and Holly, if they win the power, would get rid of them - except that Keith has never lied to them, while Dave big's nose may be coming from the relationship line of Pinocchio. Keith talks to Scott about it, and Scott thinks that Dave is full of it. Dave sees this, and confronts Keith about it that night. Meanwhile, Scott tells Holly that her mission is to take out the Barbies.

Well, we see that this is not really a 2 hour special - it's two back-to back episodes packaged as a 2 hour episode, as we see the opening credits again - thie time, instead of people, we have the 2 couples being introduced as a team. I am as irate as the couples are as they are being wolen up at 6:30 am. Tara is hoping that they have different excursions, and they do - except they split up the singles. Tara gets Scott, Charla gets Keith and Dave gets Holly. Scott winces when Tara shows up, Keith and Charla discuss Dave and Dave and Holly exchange the fakest greetings on the side of Michael Jackson's face surgeries.

Keith thinks that Dave is trying to work over Holly. Keith says that Charla has his vote, so there is no reason to be working him - and that Tara better be working on Scott. Keith and Charla get body wrap/tans, Tara and Scott work on the boat, while Dave and Holly...well...really get nowhere. Holly - 'I want to play the bitch.' Dave - 'You'de make a good bitch.' Ouch.

Holly talks to Dave - and he says that he wouldn't send Keith and Tara home before Scott/Holly Dave says that he would make a gorup decision - and Holly takes that to mean that her and Scott are toast. Keith says that he's hurt with what Dave said at Pandora's Box and he has to watch his back. Holly says that she would get rid of Tara and Keith first. Dave tells HOlly that she's not going homw - and they toast.

So the excursions - which are more scheming than excursioning - are over, and the men are lead to their new hotel rooms. They see another letter - with a gift basket telling them to enjoy the memorable night with their lady. 'The only question is - who will be that memorable young lady?' asks Dave. Sure enough, there is anoter switch, and Dave gets Tara, Charla gets Scott and Holly gets Keith. 'Charla, it's been a long time before we've roomed together, buddy!' and all of the couples toast to champagne.' Well, almost all of them - Charla doesn't want any champagne.

Keith and Holly talk - and Keith is trying to sell Holly a line that he would get rid of Dave first and Holly isn't buying it. Holly says that there is no way Keith would keep them on - and she's right, as Keith reminds Holly that the group that she was in wanted to get rid of him in the first place. That skirmish gets so loud and Charla and Scott manage to hear it - and are listening in on it for the whole night.

Everyone is now back at the hotel - and as a couple. The happy-get-together ende when they realize that Pandoara's Box will be that night - and then the voting will be immediately after.

Keith is getting annoyed at Dave - and he accuese Dave of playing dirty. Dave says that he is not going to give up his position in the game. Keith wants Dave to clear it up with Scott - but Dave won't because he's not stupid and he will not put himself on the hook. Tara accuses Dave of playing dirty, but Dave says that he's been playing strategically like this all Summer long. Well, yes, he has been playing dirty all Summer long. Keith ends it with 'You just f#cked us.' and he walks out of the room.

Scott and Tara are talking strategy again - and now they may be changing alliances to get rid of Keith. Holly tell Scott about his conversation and Scott realizes that Dave is playing both sides. Scott knows that Dave is now playing shady. It took you until the second to last episode to realize this?

Scott asks Keith about Holly's conversation, and they all have a discussion about that. Keith then tells Tara that Dave told Holly that they were safe. Tara says that she is done with Dave, and Keith may be siding that way. Keith talks to Dave about it - and Dave is looking upset. Keith tells Dave that he felt that Dave sold him out. Dave says that he is just trying to advance himself in the game - and that Scott has his back. Keith tells Dave about what Holly told him - and Dave responds that he can't have this conversation right now. A disgusted Keith leaves Dave.

This should make the last Pandora's Box very interesting. Holly is asked about her rivals - and she says that both remaining women are equal competition. Charla is asked about her opinion on who should go home. Charla says she is always quiet - and she says she's not going to send Tara and Keith home. Hmmm...

Keith is asked about his trust with Dave - and Keith says that it was painful to hear Dave last week. Scott is asked on who he trusts more - Tara or Charla. Scott says that he trusts Charla more - and in the flashback, he wanted to keep her.

Dave is asked why he should be given the power - and Dave is told that he shouldn't. He says tha a lot of people have resented him for sending them home - and he's absolutely right. Something for Keith to think about, maybe?

Amanda comes in and says that the couples will indeed be voting on who will have the power to select the final 2 couples - but you can't vote for yourself. This is extroadinarily bad for Scott and Holly, because if they get to the finals, they virtually guarantee themselves thw win. I can't possibly see either Dave/Charla or Tara/Holly voting for Scott - so it's a race to convince Scott/Holly who to vote for - or maybe who not to vote for, as Dave may be thinking that if Keith can get rid of Scott/Holly, then he will vote for Dave in return because he didn't get rid of them. Hmmmm...

Scott sees this and knows that he will be following Amy. 'This makes me sick to my stomach.' and they realize that no one will vote for him. Scott tells Holly to have some faith - but faith isn't smarts - and that realize that their only chance is to vote for Keith. Tara wants to get rid of Dave - but she wants to keep Charla. Scott goes over to Keith - and reminds him that if he does get the power to think about chcracter and trust. Keith tells Tara that the one conversation with Scott turned everything around.

Tara decides to talk to Charla and Dave, while Keith decides to speak to Scott and Holly. Tara tells Charla what's going to happen - and tells Dave that Scott will be voting for them because Holly didn't buy what Dave sold to her on the excursion. Meanwhile, Scott tells Keith that 'everything you would be preahcing would be out the window when the guy that you pinky swore with stabbed you in the back.' Scott tells Keith to take a stand - but taking a stand isn't smart when you'd be voting off your ticket to the grand prize. If Keith told Scott that, then it would be a lot easier - but Keith isn't that smart.

Scott now points out that Dave, Mr Happy-Go-Lucky, is now silent - because he knows that he got caught. Charla thinks that Dave is depressed - and Dave tells her that he is because he feels rejected from Charla. Charla doesn't understand what Dave is going through. Dave tries to explain it, but Charla doesn't want to get into it. Charla says that she hasn't projected anything except friendship - and she's right. She does want to be friends with him afterwards - too bad Dave wants more than that...

Scott tries to convince Tara - and Tara says that the best way is to talk to Dave about it. Scott warns them that Dave will hem and haw. Charla goes to Dave and asks 'What else have you told people?' Right on cue, the other 4 people come in. Dave tells Tara that he doesn't have a number 2, and that sets Tara off. Tara asks Dave about what happened yesterday - and he denied what he told Holly. That sets Holly off, and Scott corners Dave on a few more contradictions at Pandora's box - and what he told Keith about.

That's too much evidence for Dave - and he finally snaps. Dave finally fires off that he wouldn't get rid of Keith. Then he spews off to everyone and yells at Keith for being stupid. Mass chaos ensues and even Tara, who told Keith before to keep Dave because of Charla, tells Keith to make his best judgement. Scott, who finally gets some brina cells this episode, realizes that when all of the houseguests came back for the few days, 'Everyone who fired against you - had a legitmate reason.'

Keith's plan has come into full fruition. Keith truly has the power, because he's the only person that everyone trusts. Keith votes for Charla, Dave votes for Keith, Scott votes for Keith, Tara votes for Charla, Charla votes for Keith and Holly votes for Keith. Keith has the power - and he has to decide whether using his integrity is worth losing the grand prize. Keith chooses that the couple will go is...to be known at the finale. Of course it will be.

Next week, we will find out who wins this thing, and I will be shocked if it's not decided by the 15 people who got booted out. Let's see who we have - Alex, Beau, Zack, Andon, Matt, Tom, Toni, Amy, Amanda, Kavita, Melanie, Desiree, Kristin and the other 2 people who will be booted by Keith. The only way that Keith has a shot is to bounce out Scott/Holly and hope that more people will be pissed off at Dave than him. It's just like Survivor all over again - with no one really being likable, but Keith playing a much less back-stabbing game than Dave.

Then again, this is the game with 'surprises' around the corner, which means that something screwy will likely happen. What is it, and like Love Cruise, will someone who's been eliminated come back to have a chance to win? We'll see next Wednesday.

October 1, 2003
After 3 months of kissing, hugging, screaming, drama, and really bad game playing by most of the guests, this series will come to a close. The back-stabbers are your last 4 people, and thy got here not just because they back-stabbed, but because the other players were too dumb to read into the rules and play the game correctly. Don't get me wrong - the people who are there in the finals deserve to be there, but they are all as likable as Jun and Allison from Big Brother 4. Who deserves to win - the man who grasps women's breasts and can't tell the truth if his life depended on it (Dave), the woman who sleeps with people before getting rid of them (Tara), the woman who pretends to have feelings for someone when they don't - and who stays in their room when the going gets tough (Charla), or the man who is nasty to almost everyone and is about to get rid of Scott and Holly - though he says that he will not stand for lying as he brings the liar with him into the finals (Keith).

If you listen to madame Judith, then your winners are Keith and Charla. But that can't happen - for starters, they are on different teams. How is that going to work? Still, I will not go against Madame Judith and I will say that Keith and Charla will win. OK, Madame Judith, work with me...

Madame Judith didn't talk to us about the fact that the first 10 minutes would be filler about what happened for the Summer. Sigh.

But now, back to Keith and the matter of going against his word and getting rid of the people who have any virtue left. Scott and Holly didn't lie, or backstab, or call anyone names - and if I was Keith, it's because of that that I would eliminate them. If he says that he's playing the game and that's why they will be going, he can save some face. He's still hemming and hawing, and he says that he's pissed at Dave. After giving the obligatory I respect you all speech, he decides to get rid of...(3 hours later, he's still deciding)...Scott and Holly. The monsters win (like I knew they would) and everyone who likes the originals are flipping their tv's to the baseball game. 'I said I had to stand by my word since week 1, and that's it.'

Holly says that Dave was lying to her the entire time, while Scott said that he had a wonderful time. Dave is done. Keith will win by default - or will he? Scott says that Keith didn't have the integrity or the stones to make the right decision. They leave and Scott feels good that he played a clean game - which he did. The dirty ones are left in the game, and this will go down even worse than Big Brother 4. An hour and 45 minutes of misery await, as the backstabbers win, because the people who played the game clean were also the gullible and dim-witted ones as well.

Dave comes to congratulate Keith - but Keith doesn't want to talk about it. 'You put me in a bad situation, Dave...you play the game the way you want to play it.' Is Keith starting to have a heart? Maybe...but it's the best move to make, game-wise. Dave tells him that he didn't tell people that people wanted to win, whereas Keith told everyone what he was going to do - and that was his strategy. That is true - Keith did play it out in the open, whereas Dave lied about it. 'That's it, I'm done.' says Keith, and he storms off from Dave.

Charla corners Dave. 'I've never lied to anyone to their face.' Dave - 'Do you want a Nobel Prize?' Charla - 'I don't want to be associated with someone who betrayed Keith and Tara.' and now Charla is realizing what a back-stabber Dave is. Meanwhile, Keith is done kvetching and him and Tara are celebrating. Dave? 'It would be easier for me to compete against someone who I'm angry at.' They come over to Keith's room, and Keith hugs Charla, with a pissy Dave looking on.

While the girls are eating, the guys are planning on getting rid of the girls. NIce. Meanwhile, Tara and Charla are discussing if they have to be nasty to each other and jeopardize their friendship for them to win. After 3 months of being nasty, NOW you want to give them feelings? Apparently, they are softening up the 2 people that will win, so it has to be Charla and Keith.

Keith says that he's competing against Dave 110%. Dave, ever the diplomat, serves Tara and Keith breakfast. Check out for poison or a box cutter in the eggs, kids. Meanwhile, all 4 people are given a photo book and they can stick all of their photos that they want into it. The photo book gives us a golden opportunity for more space fillers, which aren't interesting enough to recap here. I think I will order some sushi now - it should get here before we get to any original material.

After a good 15 minutes of fluff, the final 4 get all decked out for a black tie dinner. Tara makes a toast to the 4 of them, and Keith wishes everyone the best of luck. Charla talks about how much she cares about everyone and they all toast. AwwwwBarf.

Amanda comes out - and she's got a wicked smile. She has a few announcements - this is their last night in Paradise, and they all have to pack their stuff. Amanda brings back Beau and Toni to tell them the next announcement - and Toni and Beau are back in the game. Wha? They say that they are joking - and everyone who got kicked out will be voting on the winners. They have to persuade the evicted why to vote for them - and Toni's 'Game On!' quote means that Keith has at least one 'Yes' vote going to him.

They are all grimacing (like they should) and Keith and Tara excuse themselves to play strategy. Dave wants to rationalize himself, while Charla doesn't want to hear any of it and is afraid to hear Dave's speeches. Dave has a list of people and who he thinks they are voting for, and Charla reminds Dave that Scott and Holly will tell everyone what a liar that Dave is and they will be screwed. Meanwhile Keith calls them up and tells them that they are just going to bawl at their speech. Keith tells Tara that they will win because Dave has kicked everyone out of the house, while Dave is working on creating fake tears on his speech if he has to. Way to be sincere, Dave.

Keith decides that he will talk about his faults like talking bad about people - and Tara wonders when they have done it - Keith laughs at her. Dave is still practicing his speech - and he says that he won't say that he's sorry. Dave is a good player, but if he keeps this up, he will be playing himself out of the game.

While everyone is planning, everyone comes back - even Smokey, who I'm sure everyone would rather vote for. Amy and Zack are the last ones in - and they get a round of applause. Keith/Tara come in - and no one likes them. Dave/Charla come in - and no one likes them either. Hoo boy. This ought to be interesting...

And once again, we have the cheesy opening intro, once again convincing us that this shouldn't have been a 2 hour special, but a strong of 1 hour episodes. I don't care that they changed the opening credits - it's still lame.

But not as lame as the 4 people trying to be nice to the 15 evicted people - who are not buying what they are selling. Amanda points out that Charla, the lone outsider, is the only original left. Amanda gives us even more fluff, before breaking it down. In true Survivor-Style, the former guests get to ask questions to everyone. They decide who wins - and they have to give their answer at sundown.

Here we go with the questions - Andon asks Dave if it was worth losing friends and Dave says it isn't. Matt talks to Dave about lying to everyone and he's embarrassed everyone. Dave tries to defend himself and everyone else is telling him how horrible he has done - and ask him for facts. Toni pointed out to Tara that she said that she wanted Charla off - and Charla is stunned. Dave is stunned when Alex tells him that Charla was going after Keith, who says that the trust factor with him and Charla is there. Oooookay.

Desiree tells Charla that she lacks social skills and is a premadonna. Desiree asks her if she deserves to be there - and at least she is open enough to say that she has wanted to go - but she couldn't bring herself to it. 'I just couldn't quit.' Scott calls Keith out for back-stabbing him. Keith says that he kept his word and that everything was luck - he also tells him that if Scott was there, he'd win the game. Keith says that he picked a team to go there because he tried to talk to Kristin, who pretty much told him that he had no shot of staying there - and that's why he formed his team. At least Keith is being sincere when he is talking - though everyone is calling them all out for lying, and let's face it, they did.

Holly asked Dave why he lied to her. Dave's response? 'I'm still standing here.' That went over as well as David Spader's last movie attempt. The exiled guests moaned at Dave as Toni asks Amanda if they can shut Dave up now. Alex tells Charla 'You teamed up with the wrong person' and Keith may as well celebrate his victory now.

Final speeches. Charla thanks Dave and she admits that she has said bad things - and she holds no grudges. At least she is being honest. Then he's sorry. Dave turns around and switches his speech around - apologizing and then apologizing to Charla. He is also dealing with hurt from being spurned from Charla - but thanks Charla for being a roommate. Toni is rolling her eyes and Amy says 'Thank you for lying behind my backs.'

Tara and Keith made a joint speech. She says that Paradise Hotel changed her as a person, and she apologizes - she says that she has learned about her faults. Keith says that he has also learned - and he has a lot of growing up to do. 'You guys made me realize that.' He also apologizes for what he did wrong and he has to take it day by day. He barely finishes, and other people like Amanda and Desiree are crying. Court is adjourned, and everyone can retire for a few hours.

Dave says that he cares more about winning than Charla does. Meanwhile the people say that they would like to vote for Charla and Keith if they could - if they are not stuck with voting as a couple. Dave realizes it, and he says that they have blown things out of proportion. Meanwhile, Toni asks who thinks Dave s full of sh#t - and everyone raises their hand. Congratulations, Tara and Keith...

Tara, meanwhile, is being concerned and Keith is open about it. Meanwhile, Charla tells Dave that she voted for Tom originally instead of Dave. Dave whines that Scott is ungrateful because he's going to vote against him because Dave lied. Well...I would vote against you if you lied, and Dave needs to seriously rethink his strategies if he does another game show.

Here comes Amanda - and it's time to decide who will win. Toni comments that it does not lie, cheat or steal to be at the top. Alex asks Charla if she would be with a different person besides Dave, and she says no. Desiree says that she loves everyone and that we should drop the hate. Awwwwwwyeah, whatever, who cares, that ain't going to happen.

Amanda says that the biggest surprise is this - they have to change partners. NOw you can vote for either Dave/Tara, or Keith/Charla. Everyone is clapping and laughing, and I can really say congratulations Keith, and Charla. Madame Judith is right, apparently...

It's time to cast votes. Everyone is reminded of their past allegiances in flashbacks so that we know who they are voting for. This will be close, for this reason - who is hated more - Dave and Tara, or Keith and Charla?

The votes have been tallies - and Amanda has the names of the 2 winners, and they are...Kill Bill and Matrix Reloaded! Oh, sorry, that's the 2 commercials. You know, it's only 9:35 here. We still have another 25 minutes, and I can't help but thinking that there will be another monkey wrench thrown into things...

Ok, back to Amanda. The winners are...Keith and Charla! They all clap - except for Amy and Zack, but they hated everyone on there, so no one cares. But what about the prize? They won...$500,000! They all clap and Charla and Keith are in shock. Not a lot of hugging though from everyone else. Shocker.

Each envelope is worth $250,000 - and they go to the them - but hold on a minute. Amanda has another surprise. They have to go back to their partners. There are 2 checks in each envelope. One of them has their name on it - the other one is left blank. They can either give $125,000 to their partners - or they can keep it themselves. They have 30 minutes to decide. We really get to see how important their alliance is now, Heh, heh, heh...

Toni is saying that Charla should keep the money - but if she offers it, Dave should be a friend and turn it down. Wha? Toni and Melanie go to Charla's room while Alex goes to Keith's room. Toni tries to get a final crack at Dave by telling Charla that she doesn't owe anyone anything, while Alex tells Keith that there are people that don't want him to give the money to Tara. Toni also tells her that if Dave is a friend, that Dave, who doesn't deserve it, won't have a problem with it. We get the mandatory flashbacks from Keith, and Charla also gets the mandatory flashbacks from both sides and she is crying again...bleh.

Keith and Tara meet up first. Keith calls her unbelievable, gorgeous and funny, and he can never win it without her. He pulls out a picture of her mom - and family is the most important thing to him. 'It never crossed my mind not to give this check to you.' and he gives her the check. Tara rejects the check the first time, but Keith writes it out and gives it to her. 'I said you were the sweetest most thoughtful guy...I'm smart.' They hug and kiss and we truly get a lovely AwwwwBarf moment.

Will things be the same for Charla and Dave? 'This is the hardest decision that I have ever had to decide.' says Charla. Charla says that she loves him as a friend. She asks him what he would do if she offered - and he said that he would make sure if she was sure. She also asks him the other way - and how the friendship would be affected. He said that he wouldn't be affected, but Charla notices that he would be unhappy. She says that she wasn't going to keep the money Dave - 'You weren't?' Charla - 'I wasn't - at first.' Uh ohh...

Apparently, the power of Toni and Dave's continuous backstabbing is too much for Charla to ignore. Charla says that she deserves it and she worked hard for it, and decides to keep ALL of the money. She says to ask Dave to promise that he won't get mad - and he says that he's glad for her. Dave is such a sucker. Charla decides to keep all of the money - and Toni celebrates that her arch-rival gets nothing.

Keith and Tara make another decision - they decides to take some of the money and send everyone to Vegas, and everyone is happy...well, except Dave. We see fireworks, and Amanda saying there will be a second season. Fade to black...

My take? Well, for a place where anything could happen - and almost anything did, this was entertaining. This was more about relationships than sex, and I I'm glad to see that the Love Cruise people learned from their last effort. It was fun and I think that the games were set up so that it wasn't fixed - the final four people, though not the most reputable, definitely outplayed their opponents to win.

My only problem? When this turned from a relationship show to a game show. Keith and the other newcomers knew that the dynamics of the show had changed - but the people in the house didn't. Everyone should have been on even ground in terms of any twists on the game. That put the originals on very uneven ground and that was part of their demise.

Obviously I didn't like who won, but that shouldn't take away my review of the game - and it won't. Paradise Hotel is a vast improvement over Love Cruise, and I'm glad it got renewed. It gets a 'B' from me, and I hope we get renovations - on both the hotel and the game playing savvy of the new tenants.

On a final note, we see the final note, and Dave was disappointed with Charla, as he gets some of his karma back at him. Until the Hotel reopens, I'm Gordon Pepper - perhaps with a twist or 2 for next season ;).
