Feburary 2, 2004
MTV has brought 20 past Real Worlders and Road Rulers to Acapulco, Mexico to battle out in the bigger and badder Real World vs. Road Rules: The Inferno. This season, both shows will compete against each other to win challenges. After each challenge, both shows will vote two players they least need/want. The players with the most votes from each show will go on to the next challenge where they'll try to win the Aztec Lifesaver. That lucky winner(if a nominee) can remove themself from the running and then place someone else in their spot. The two people from each show will go up to be chosen from the opposite team. The two people that are picked will now compete against each other in "The Inferno". The voting process will alternate male and female genders. The player that loses goes home, while the winner goes back to the team that just tried to send them home. The last remaining 12 players, regardless of what show they are from will win what has been banked in their team's bank account while the winner of the last mission also recieves the Handsome Reward.

Back at the house, Syrus told his team that he would like to choose Ace to go in and replace him in The Inferno. Ace was upset and his moral was low. He felt that his team was not treating him fairly. Mallory was upset because her boyfriend would be leaving early.

Inferno Mission: Bug Helmet

Winner of Mission: Jeremy (RR)
Going Home: Ace (RW)

Well, aparently Jeremy likes bugs more than Ace does. A "put-up-or-shut-up" situtation ended in a "shut-up" for Ace.

The competition has just begun. As the promos said... $150,000 to win, a lot more to lose.

February 9, 2004
Let's begin with Leah, Julie, and Trishelle talking about the boys on the challenge. Leash said that she thought the sexiest man there was Darrell. Trishelle sayd that she liked C.T. and Leah also thought Mike was really cute. Then Trishelle said that she had dated Mike on the Gauntlet. She broke up with him because of his personality and not looks. According to Trishelle, her problem is that she was "undatable". Then Mike, Syrus, and Julie were talking and Mike was telling them about the night that he and Trishelle broke up. Mike then said that she hooked up with five guys that night in front of her. He then said that Trishelle didn't know how to have a boyfriend and that she thought the would revolves around her.

The cast members went to a nearby club. Everyone was dancing and Trishelle got very drunk. Trishelle said that she didn't like to see her ex-boyfriend hook-up with the other girls. Trishelle confronted Mike and said that he was acting like an a**. She told Mike that she was going beat his a**. Mike didn't understand Trishelle and how her life worked. Coral and Trishelle started fighting and Coral told Trishelle that she needs to chill out. Trishelle was not going to chill out.

Challenge 3: Wreck n' Roll
Prize: $10,000
Each team had their own mock-up hotel room. It featured a guest band named Yellowcard. A guy and a girl of each team grabbed a guitar which were used to smash the bigger things. The catch was that they had to pick up the broken pieces into a crate with an 8-inch hole. The time limit was the length of the song performed by Yellowcard.

The Smashers: RW - Julie and Mike | RR - Christena and Jeremy

Final Results: RW - 266 Pounds | RR - 290 Pounds
Road Rules Wins!

Bank Account Totals: RW - $10,000 | RR - $20,000

Back at the Road Rules lounge, Katie said that was willing to volunteer herself because she had been sucking. Holy had also volunteered herself. Darrel didn't think she should because she was strong, but Holly said she was willing to do it.

At the Real World lounge, the people started voting for Mallory and Leah. Trishelle didn't think her going into The Inferno was even an option. Then Mike said that he was voting for Trishelle because on Friday night she told Mallory, Coral, and himself that she was going to kick thier asses. Mike didn't think that was good for the morale of the team. Coral and Mallory agreed with him and then Trishelle and Syrus were talking and she told him that she was pissed at Mike for that vote.

Trishelle and Mike talked about Friday night and thats that had went on. Mike said that if she would have apologized then he would have changed his vote. Trishelle said that the voting that way was f**ked up.

Inferno Nominees (Women's Turn): RW - Leah and Trishelle | RR - Holly and Katie

Timmy said that the RW team had more grudges within the team than RR had. Julie said that the RR team had a strategy where they nominate their weakest and strongest players.

At the RW lounge Trishelle said that she wanted Holly because she was stronger. Mike said it was easier to put Katie in, but then there was strategy becuase if they had put Holly in, Katie would still be on the RR team and therefore would do bad on the missions. At the RR lounge Katie said that she would be going in. Holly said she thought they should send in Trishelle because she was a stronger competitor.

Chosen for the Inferno: RW - Trishelle | RR - Holly

And the episode ends with everyone hugging and being happy. Timmy said there was a huge fear in losing Holly because she was a very strong competitor.

Who'll come back from The Inferno?
Who'll recieve their walking papers?

Find out in the next episode.

Feburary 16, 2004
Okay, the weeklong wait is over. On the last episode, Trishelle (RW) and Holly (RR) were chosen for the Inferno.

But before the Inferno mission would happen, the teams had to go through this next challenge.

Challenge 4: Climbing Wall
Prize: $10,000
Players tried to climb a wall that was hanging 50 feet in the air as fast as they could.

Final Result: Road Rules Wins!

Bank Account Totals: RW - $10,000 | RR $30,000

Inferno Mission: Chilis Eaten
Players tried to each as many chili peppers as they could in a one hour sitting.

Winner of Mission: Holly (RR)
Going Home: Trishelle (RW)

Boy those chili peppers must have been so hot that Trishelle almost vomited. So far the Real World team had lost two players while all of the members of the Road Rules team are still intact.

What challenge will await the teams next? We'll have to wait and see.

Feburary 23, 2004
The episode began with Mike teaching Kendal how to wrestle. Mike said that Kendal is the sweetest girl. After Mike pulled down Kendal's socks the flirting went on for a wile.

Mike, Julie, and Kendal were then talking. Mike was talking about how he still like the Jacuzzi. Kendal said that Mike needed a tool to take the ladies. Mike said the Jacuzzi made it easier for him to get the clothes off and that every girl falls for it because every girl wants to be bad sometimes. Kendal then poured water on Mike, as a way of flirting, after Mike said that Julie was getting "heated" by him talking about that.

The Real World team was then a bedroom and Coral said that losing in The Inferno wasn't "cracking". She thought that as a team they should decide who would go, meaning who would go and win and not who they could afford to lose because they could not afford to lose anyone right now.

The team then recieved a clue read by David saying: Your next challenge is today. You will be picked up at 1 PM. Wear your team colors. Blah, blah, blah, blah.

They all met at El Alebrije, the largest club in Latin America, for their next challenge.

Challenge 5: Disco Domino Derby
Prizes: $10,000
Teams tried to set up 110 dominoes so that when they're done they could knock then over to make a domino chain reaction. The team who completed the challenge in the fastest time won. In addtion to the team winning the money in their bank account, all of the members also recieve a home entertainment component from Motorola. Each of the players wore a pair of roller skates and a disco outfit of their liking.

The teams went at it the moment Dave blew the horn. Everyone was setting up the dominos. Mike made a mistake which knocked over half of the dominoes. That might have ended up a loss for the Real World team. In an unfortunate moment, one of the Road Rules' dominoes had stopped on a step. Team Real World's dominoes continued to fall and won the mission.

Bank Account Totals: RW - $20,000 | RR - $30,000

Back at the lounges the teams then nominated upon two men to go into The Inferno from each team. Real World was now talking and Mike decided to vote himself in along with David. At the Road Rules lounge, they had more difficulties. Abram said he would go in and the others were sitlent. Sand said he didn't mind going, but he wasn't going to volunteer himself this time and then got voted in the next two times. Jeremy said he had no problem going again.

Inferno Nominees (Men's Turn): RW - David and Mike | RR - Road Rules: Abram and Jeremy

They went out to the courtyard to announce the nominees and then returned back to pick the final nominees. Real World picked Jeremy because he was an easy win for either Mike or David. Road Rules picked The Miz (Mike) cause they would love to knock out their toughest guy and they believed Abe would be a perfect match. They went out to show the plates and Road Rules was shocked and scared they picked Jeremy. Mike believed that was the easiest win he'll have.

Chosen for The Inferno: RW - Mike | RR - Jeremy

The episode ends with Mike and Christina talking. Christina believed all the men on her team were scared and would not step up to volunteer for the Inferno and it was not fair that Jeremy was going in twice and probably would be sent home.

The next episode will reveal who'll survive the next Inferno mission.

March 1, 2004
Let's start off with Mike and Kendal lying on Mike's bed. Mike said that they both had enjoyed each other's company and had fun with each other. He loved hanging around with her and he just didn't want any drama. Kendal said that Mike and her had a very strange connection with one another.

Mike was then on the phone with one of his friends from home. Mike's friend used to date Kendal and he wanted to know if Mike had done anything with her because someone has been telling him that Mike has. Mike wanted to know who had been telling his friend that and his friend said that it was Trishelle. Mike said that Trishelle was trying to ruin anything Mike had with Kendal because she was jealous.

Mike went up to Kendal and basically told her that he didn't want the situation to get any worse, so they would just be friends. His friend Jonathon felt betrayed and Mike didn't want to hurt his friend anymore than he already had.

Challenge 6: Balls Out

Prizes: $10,000 for their bank account and a Haro bicycle for each member of the winning team.

This was a last person standing contest were teams went on stationery bikes with clear tubes sticking out. Once the players have pedaled, the wind would have went through the tubes and they have to try to keep a ball in the safe zones of each tube. In making things interesting there were two buckets of water and a hose. Once the players were out of the game they would go into the firing zone. Only two people were allowed in the firing zone at a time. From there, the ousted players were allowed to do anything they want to mess up their opponents. The last person standing of each team won the Aztec Lifesaver. The Haro bicycle is Dave Mirra's signature bike.

Road Rules decided that Shane and Katie would be the firers. Leah and Coral were going to be the firers for the Real World team and they have figured out that if they squirt the water inside the hole in the tube, the ball would fall out.

Results: The order of elimination.

The Real World team has evened up the score!

The Real World women were talking about how Katie had the water up there and was not doing much for her team. The Real World team all started hugging and lifting Katie off the ground saying that Katie was their mascot.

Jeremy and Katie were talking and Jeremy understood that Katie was only looking for respect from her team and she felt that she didn't get that. Jeremy thought that Katie had felt like the 'black sheep' on their team. Katie thought that Jeremy was the heart of Road Rules and the most positive on the team.

Inferno Mission: Human Candelabra

Players held a candle in their arms and out sideways. Whoever held it that way the longest won the mission. There were also paint holders on each side where in your arms will be above. If their hands have dropped and got paint on it, it'll indicate that they didn't make it and lose the mission.

Chosen for The Inferno: RW - Mike | RR - Jeremy

Duration of Mission: 5:30
Winner of Mission: Mike (RW)
Going Home: Jeremy (RR)

Road Rules was really upset because their heart and soul of the team was now going home.

The Road Rules had a team meeting where Jeremy made his final pep talk and basically told them that they then had to be truthful to one another. They need to take Katie and give her the respect she deserves and to use it so it helps them become a better team.

They all went to a nearby club for a fun night out. Mike and Kendal kept getting close and closer. They were talking about each other's relationship. Mike said it wasn't his fault that his friend got in the way of what they had. As the episode ends, Mike and Kendal shared their first kiss.

March 22, 2004
Let's begin with everybody hanging out at the house. Holly and David decided they want to work out to perform better in the missions. Coral asked Abe if she would make him a sandwich. Behind his back, she licked it and then gave it to him. Without knowledge, Abe had eaten the sandwich.

I've got to say-EEEEEWWWWWWW!

CT was happy to have David at the challenge cause they actually grew up together as children. On the next day, the teams arrive on a dock next to a cruise ship. That was the site for the next challenge.

Challenge 9: Come Sail Away
Prize: $10,000
A table full of weird merchandise and items were shown to the teams. Each team then had selected different items one by one until the table was clear. They then had 3 ½ hours to try and sell all their stuff to people who were disembarking off the ship. The team who made the most money (in pesos) won.

David and Veronica volunteered to pick the merchandise. Veronica picked the ones that they would probably sell while David picked the really weird, oddball stuff. The Real World team confronted David on his picks and he went off about how he just woke up on wasn't in the mood.

Dave sounded the horn and the 3 and a half-hour time limit had begun. Both teams tried to sell as much as possible. Katie was doing better than ever in that mission. David gave up and fell asleep. CT tried on a pink bikini to show how it looks. Abram and Shane started selling massages to the ladies.

The challenge ended the moment Dave sounded the horn. Real World and Road Rules were confident that they had earned more money.

Results: RW - 6,330 pesos | RR - 6,505 pesos

Road Rules Wins!

Bank Account Totals: RW - $30,000 | RR - $60,000

It's the men's turn for the Inferno nominations. The four Road Rules guys decided that they'll take turns nominating themselves since there were two guy Infernos left. Shane volunteered while Abram and Timmy played 'Paper, Rock, Scissors'. Abram won and volunteered himself.

Over in the Real World lounge, David volunteered himself cause he didn't make any effort in that challenge. Everyone else voted for CT cause he hasn't been nominated for The Inferno yet.

Dave announced the nominees-

Inferno Nominees: RW - Abram and Shane | RR - C.T. and David

-and the teams had to go back to pick the finalist. Road Rules picked Shane cause he could be an easy win and they thought Abram was crazy and would do anything to win an Inferno. Road Rules picked David cause he had no motivation.

Chosen for the Inferno: RW - David | RR - Shane

Holly and Darrell talked about how Katie seemed to be putting in a bigger effort so they would try to support her more as part of the team.

At the end of the episode, we see Abram getting a mohawk and David talked about how being sent to The Inferno was giving him a second wind.

March 29, 2004
In the beginning, Darrell was talking about leah. He was saying that she was beautiful and the reason he was doing so good on missions was 'getting it' at least three times a day. They were both in the pool then and Darrell told Leah that even though she was on the other side, he didn't really card and was not scared. He said he wasn't in a relationship with Leah and that he doesn't do relationships.

C.T. and David were talking about how David still wet the bed. C.T. said having David here was a comfort.

The teams arrive at Student City Beach for their next challenge...

Challenge 10: Bungee Bound
Prize: $10,000
Players individually bungeed from 160 feet, then had to pull the flag down from their shorts and trow it in the water. The team with the fastest time won. The catch was their hands would be handcuffed behind their backs by carabiners.

Coral (RW) - 00:25
Veronica (RR) - 00:19

Katie and Leah then stepped up to go. They were both nervous. Leah was about to throw up and when Katie saw this, she got scared. Leah couldn't feel her hands and asked Katie to go first. Katie was afraid of heights and was very scared. The horn blew and she took a very long time.

Katie (RR) - 12:27

Real World was very happy because they thought they now have it in the bag. It was then Leah's turn. Leah was then hyperventilating. She was crying and had no feelings in her hands. She couldn't breathe too well, but she still wanted to do that mission. Finally, they've decided to not let her do it.

Leah (RW) - 17:27 - Disqualified
David (RW) - 00:40
Darrell (RR) - 00:22
Holly (RW) - 00:17
Shane (RW) - 00:20

Road Rules Wins!
Bank Account Totals: RW - $30,000 | RR - $70,000
Winners of Aztec Lifesaver: RW - C.T. | Road Rules - Holly

Back at the hospital, Coral was with Leah. Leah was very happy that Coral stayed with her and she really appreciated it. Leah said having anxiety sucks, but she didn't have any control over it.

C.T. and David were talking and they decide for The Inferno they were going to their clothing style. David said the one thing he didn't want to do is eat something in The Inferno.

Inferno Mission: Don't Toss Your Cookies
The Inferno players had to eat cookies and drink a whole glass of milk. Then they had to spin around on a contraption for 10 minutes. The first person to throw up lost.

Dave asked C.T. if he would like to save David and he said that since he had won 3 Aztec Lifesavers and hasn't used then, he was going to sacrifice himself. She was now scared that he would be up against C.T.

Chosen for the Inferno: RW - C.T. | RR - Holly

Mission Results: In round 1, both C.T. and Shane ate two cookies and drank the milk. They both then spun for ten minutes. In round 2, C.T. ate two cookies and drank the milk, but Shane threw up.

Winner of Mission: C.T. (RW)
Going Home: Shane (RR)

As Shane heads for home, he tells Road Rules that he didn't want Real World winning any more money.

Leah was now in her bed and Darrell told her that she looks a lot better. Leah was still really dizzy, but she was doing better. Darrell finally said that Leah and he had more than a sexual relationship and that they both liked spending time together. He did want Leah to fight it out and stay to the end with him.
