First troop:
The girls met at my house or another one to work on this.
Skill Builders
SB #4: The girls did this one first to learn how to use a
search engine, then with those skills did SB#3.
SB #6: They already could send e-mail, but they learned how
to send attachments by e-mailing a document to me and also did the cost
comparisons.
SB #7 they "visited" Paris on the internet. Some
of the sites included the Louvre, the Carte du Musee, general Paris info.
SP #1set up a really great scavenger hunt on her personal
website and asked people to come visit it (she's taken it down now though).

SB #2: Safety on the net--info can be obtained by calling
1-800-843-5678, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Discussed
guidelines for use of online services and exploring on the net.
SB #5: Netiquette and jargon, see link below.
SB #6: Learned to send emails, attachments, and keep a list
of email addresses.
Technology:
T #2: We went to a computer company locally and took a tour
including discovering major trends that affect how the internet is accessed,
learning about hardware and software.
SP #3: Helped to develop a website with helps and links.
Career Exploration:
CE #3: While visiting a local computer company we discovered
careers based on the Web. We interviewed three people who work on the Web.
