Meetings

Place: NBMS Media Center Alcove
Time: 3-5PM
Frequency: Every other Friday starting Sept 5
Exceptions : There are no meetings on the days that coincide with North Bethesda Middle School (NBMS) closings
The troop goals this year include:
  • Fun
  • Develop a Troop website.
  • Repeating things we like to do such as rafting, hiking, camping, tea, fashion, makeup, shopping, making new friends, keeping old friends and building GS memories

Jan 4 Caving at Whitings Neck, West Va.

Depart from Davis Library Parking Lot , upper lot far right side adjacent to office complex 9AM.
Return same location 5PM
Drivers: Mrs. Tarr and Mr. Williams
GS: Aleks, Amy, Megan, Julia, Kerry, Laura, Cathy, Lexi.
We will meet the other troops and guide at Harpers Ferry at 10AM to carpool to the caves.

Jan 11 Meet Me In Saint Louis

At Toby�s Dinner Theater, Columbia, MD. Doors open at 10:30AM. Departure; Davis Library Parking lot 9AM. Return 2PM.

Feb 6 Fashion Design IP

Have the Feb 6 meeting at Montgomery Mall. Sit and have a snack and discuss what we can do at the mall to meet the various requirements. In groups of 2-3 browse selected retail stores for 30 minutes make a list of potential jobs/occupations just from your observations.

The service project requirement is met by building the troop website. Let�s look at number 3, page 87 of the IP handbook What�s going to be in on our website , specifics i.e. the troop newsletter, troop member photos from GS events/activities, some of the information you gather to meet the IP requirements will be good information to share �

Review , make suggestions for the Service Unit Website developed and published by Mr. Streets (Amy�s Dad ;) )

Career Exploration

A minimum of one activity will complete this IP when all above requirements are met. Meet outside Old Navy near the snack area to share findings. Parent pickup at the entrance closest to Old Navy at 5PM.
