Troop 2191 News
Troop 2191 from Graham School district consists of Jrs and Cadettes. It was started 9 years ago with 2 original members still active.
Right now we have 2 cadettes completing final plans for bridging to seniors this spring! One of our cadettes has been with the troop since she was in 1st grade and the other joined as an "add a member" as a fourth grader. They are both freshman at GHS!
Our juniors have been working hard on their first year as juniors. They have come to realize that junior girl scouts is" way different", their words, than brownies. Right now they are hard at work on earning the junior aide badge. They are planning to attend a brownie meeting to discuss and teach the brownies how to prepare for camping. From how to act at camp, to what to pack, to what not to wear or what not to bring to camp! We are hoping that this will be a positive experience for both troops!!
We actively participate in area community service projects. Such as the St. Paris Food Pantry. We donate items to the pantry and we also help at Christmas time carry and deliver those much needed items to local families. We are also, starting this spring, going to be working at GMS keeping their Butterfly Garden weed free. Hopefully we will be able to do some other "beautifying" to GMS.
