Pull
The Top, Make the Drop!
The Ronald
McDonald House is a “home away from home” where families of critically ill or
seriously injured children can stay while their child is being treated at a
local hospital.
How can we help? Each person in our church can pull tabs off any
aluminum beverage container and save them, and put them in the big green bottle
on top of the piano in the fellowship hall.
It is amazing how these tiny little tabs can do so much
good! The cost of one of the rooms each night is about $50.00. Because the
families are only charged $10.00 per night, the pop tab program has been a very
successful way for the Ronald McDonald House to raise money to cover these
costs. So far this year, they have collected $3,117.40!! Centenary United Methodist Church has been
given a special thanks for being a 2003 Pop Tab Donor.
