Basic Healthcare Project
in Utah
On January 1, 2008, organizations involved with the Utah Poverty
Partnership launched the Basic Healthcare Project. The purpose of this project
is to make it easy for low-income people and members of faith and community organizations
to participate in policy discussions about healthcare issues. The organizations
involved with the Basic Healthcare Project believe that no Utahan should die or
suffer needless pain because they are unable to afford basic healthcare.
