"THERE'S $10,000 AT STAKE EVERY TIME OUR AUDIENCE SHOUTS...(audience would shout "5! 4! 3! 2! 1! GO!). WELCOME TO..."
THE MONEY MAZE
A Daphne/Don Lipp Production
air dates: 12/23/74-6/20/75 (reruns until 7/4/75) on ABC daytime
"the master of the maze": Nick Clooney
announcer: Alan Kalter

HOW TO PLAY:
In each of the first 3 rounds, 2 maried couples would be given the subject for that round and 2 clues. One couple would select one of the clues for their opponents to answer. A correct answer scored 1 point and allowed that couple to select one of 2 clues for their opponents. A wrong answer at any time gave their opponents that round and they could continue to answer the remaining clues for 1 point a pop. Upon giving a wrong answer, the round continued as before. In case of a tie after 8 clues a tie breaker would be played.
The winners of that round would play for a prize. One spouse was given 15 seconds to run through a 50' x 100' maze while his or her spouse directed him or her to a tower. The tower must be found and the button on its side be pushed in order to win the prize. Later in the run, the couple was given the option to risk that prize in an effort to locate another tower within 25 seconds for an additional $500.
After 3 such rounds were played, the trailing couple would answer clues selected by the leading team. The trailing couple scored 1 point for the first correct answer, 2 for the second, 3 for the third, etc. A wrong answer at any time gave the leading couple the game. If the trailing couple took the lead, the other couple was given one last chance to win the game. The winning couple, or both couples in case of a tie after the first 3 rounds, would play the $10,000 Dash.

In the $10,000 Dash, the winning couple would be given a full minute to locate four "zero" towers and a "one" tower spread throughout the maze. The 1 must be located in order to win anything at all. If it was located, additional money could be won depending on how many zeroes (s)he could successfully locate. To win the $10k, (s)he must locate all 5 numbers AND hit a plunger after exiting the maze. If successful, the couple retired from the show. Otherwise, they returned to face a new couple.
