HOW TO PLAY:
Three contestants competed for a chance to challenge the previous day's champion near the end of the show. For the first round, the players would be shown a series of six pictures of famous people. Then the show's orchestra, conducted by Tommy Oliver, would play a tune related to one of the people pictured. The first player to buzz in (Usually they would shout "I got it!") must identify the tune and the person it related to for 10 points. However, an incorrect guess on a tune would have that player sit out for the next tune. After 2 tunes had been played, the pictures would be shown again. Round one would be played until the bell rang.
In round 2, Tommy's band would play a series of tunes which led to the identity of a person, place, thing, etc. A player who buzzed in and identified a song would be allowed to identify who or what the song(s) realted to. A correct answer scored 20 points. At the end of the round, the 2 higest scorers advanced to round 3. If two players tied for second place, those players were shown three famous faces and listened to a tune. The First player to idenify the tune and whom it related to advanced to the next round.
Round 3 was played the same as round 2, with each puzzle solved scoring 30 points. The player in the lead at the end of this round faced the previous day's champion in the Championship Round.
In the Championship Round, the day's winner and the returning champ would be shown set of 6 photos of a famous person arranged chronologically from childhood to adulthood. The first (baby) pic would be shown and the band would play a tune related to that person's identity. The player who Identified the song would be given 10 seconds to look at the picture. If (s)he guessed correctly, (s)he won $10,000 in cash (prizes during the first few weeks)! If nobody identified the celeb at this point, the players were shown another picture and they listened to another musical clue for a $5,000 prize package. Each additional pic/tune reduced the prize package value by $1,000. If, after 6 pics/tunes, nobody guessd the name of the person in the pics, Ron would read clues about that person. A correct answer from either player won that player $500 in prizes. The winner of the round returned for the next day's Championship Round.
Any player who won 5 days in a row would win a new car. Another 5 wins won that player a trip around the world!
