"CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS PERSONALITY? DO YOU KNOW WHO IT IS? YOU'LL FIND OUT AS YOU PLAY ALONG WITH TONIGHT'S GUEST STARS, (guest stars' names) ON..."
THE FACE IS FAMILIAR
A Bob Stewart Production
air dates: 5/7-9/3/66 on CBS primetime
host: Jack Whitaker
announcer: Jack Clark

HOW TO PLAY:

Two teams, each consisting of a celebrity and a contestant, answered questions in order to reveal the identity of a famous face. The first celebrity to signal with a correct answer to a question would select one of seven spaces on a board which looked like this:

  ___________________
1___________________
2___________________
3___________________
4___________________
5___________________
6___________________
7___________________

Each space hid a portion of a scrambled image of a famous celebrity. If the celeb player was unable to identify the famous person, the contestants were asked the next question. The first team to identify the familiar face won the game and $150.
In the bonus game, the winning team was shown three pairs of eyes and was given the name of a famous person. Selecting the eyes which belonged to that person earned the contestant $50. The same process was repeated with three pairs of lips, and finally three noses. The contestant scooped up $50 for each correct guess, or $500 for a clean sweep.

The second format, in which the Q&A element was ditched,  involved teams alternating in revealing scambled portions of a famous person's image, one piece at a time. Each puzzle earned $100 to the winner. The first team to identify two famous people played the bonus game.
In this bonus game, the team was given 60 seconds to identify four famous people from partially revealed images. The contestant earned $50 for each correct guess, or $500 for naming four people.

OTHER TIDBITS:
