Trefoil Ranch
As a young girl, one to two weeks each summer was spent up at Trefoil Ranch.  I had a wonderful time with my newly made friends doing all the things that girls like to do.

I remember hiking to Lightning Peak just before sunrise, singing songs, practicing skits, playing games, nightly campfires, the rolling echoes of Thunder Storms, the wildlife (like the skunk under the tent), and most of all the horses.  We were able to take care of and ride the horses almost every day.  There was such a special bond that grew between a young girl and her new friends.  I can still remember the feelings of companionship and a true love of the Camp, the Girl Scout Program, my new friends and the horses.

After a week of practicing our horsemanship we would have a Shodeo, where we would show off our new horse skills.  It was the highlight of the week, we all looked forward to it.  At the Closing Ceremony of camp the winners of the Shodeo would do a Mounted Flag Ceremony and then we would finally say goodbye to our new dear friends that we wrote to for years to come.
Hard Hats & Hard Heads
This past year the old Dining Hall was torn down to make way for two new structures, the New Dining Hall & General Store.  My family and I were given a special tour of the new structures on December 23, 2002.  Each of us has many memories of the wonderful times & friends we had in our youth at Camp Trefoil.
