Serial Experiments Lain

For Lain Iwakura the thought of using a computer is one that never really seemed a necessity.  But when a
classmate commits suicide and all the students begin receiving emails from this dead girl Lain is pulled into a world she never realized existed.  She
begins to become more interested in computers and even convinces her dad to buy her a new "navi".  From that point on she changes into a completely
different person whom neither she nor her new found friends recognize.  Where does this all lead?  I'm not sure.

With a powerful, if incomprehensible, end, Lain becomes a part of the net she was trying to understand and the world is "reset".
