He tried to pull his mind back to the music swirling about him but failed, eyes drawn back to the blue-clad boy like moths to a flame. A silver-blue shirt hung loose around the boys torso, unbuttoned below the bellybutton to reveal the tempting flesh beneath, flesh that glistened with the sweat of exertion. Below the shirt, skin-tight pants of the same shimmering, silky fabric clung to the boys legs, leaving nothing to the imagination yet all the more tantalizing for it. Gray-brown hair waved lightly as the boy moved, swaying in time to the beat. He was slender, nearly delicate in appearance. Chris might have mistaken the other for a girl if it werent for the unmistakable maleness evident in his dress, in the square-ness of shoulder and hip. There was something decidedly feminine about the boy, perhaps in the graceful way he moved or his slight build.
Chris could just imagine what he must look like himself. His own black-blonde hair was cut short to his ears, spiking downwards almost severely. His angular face gazing out into the crowd as pale lips parted to utter the lyrics. The black silk top he wore glittering in the bright light blazing down on him, plain black pants accented with a silver belt. Slightly thicker than the other man, but slender in his own way. Long, tapered fingers wrapped around the microphone as he sang into it, barely recognizing its presence. He wondered if he resembled a hawk at that moment, focusing determinedly on his prey, ready to swoop in for the kill.
One thing was blatantly obvious from his examination of the other, the kid was experienced. The way he moved, the way he danced... They marked him as a veteran clubber long used to the packed crowd and pulsing music. The brunette seemed to move with the music, to take it into him and make it his own. His movements flowed with the music, now rising, now falling. The strains of Daniels guitar winded through the song, twisting and binding, while the steady beating of Jacobs drums became the heart beat, the pulse. Lewis filled in behind them, bridging the gaps between the three of them with the velvet strains of his keyboard. Chris let the music flow through him as it did through the unknown dancer before him, seemingly alone in a crowd of dancers. His voice knew the words even if he paid no attention to the song, it was as familiar to him as his own name after the long hours spent practicing it. Music vibrating, he ached to become one with the dancer, to share in the music. His voice rose, filling with a new purpose, calling out to the dancer and trying to snare the other in his siren-song.
Eyes met across the distance and fire filled him. He could see the same want-need echo in the others brilliant blue-gray eyes. The movements changed, finding a new direction, and it was as if the two of them were alone with the music. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else existed. Chris felt that if he reached out, just a little more, he could touch the other, feel him in his grasp. The dancer arched backwards a little, never stopping his dancing, eyes never moving from their locked gaze. It was almost an invitation, asking him to reach out and take his prize. The two were joined in the music, bound by a rhythmic pulse far stronger than words could ever describe.
Chris voice changed, becoming deeper, throatier, more intense. He was alone with the other, the unnamed source of his passion. His voice grew stronger as he drew the words towards him, filled them with his essence then sent them spiraling out towards the other. The brunette danced on, swirling and swaying in a erotic dance meant for his eyes only. The other mans hands trailed over his body, and Chris imagined it was his own hands feeling the other, imagined what it would be like with the younger man under him. The song ended and the gig with it. Chris had never been more impatient to finish a set before. All he could think of was an enticing brunette who he intended to spend the rest of the night with if he had his way, maybe a few more beyond that. Putting away their equipment seemed to take longer than normal in his anxiousness to be elsewhere. Murmuring an excuse to his friends as soon as he could safely escape, he made his way back to the dance floor. Pushing his way through the crowd almost violently in the fervor of his search, he finally found the object of his lust leaning lightly against a secluded corner of the bar.
The other man didnt move when he spotted Chris heading towards him, his face lighting up in a seductive smile instead. Without pausing in his movement, he closed in on the younger man and pulled him in for a kiss. Chris felt the other man stiffen in surprise at first, before melting into his arms. The brunette opened his mouth to deepen the kiss, and Chris used this to his advantage. His tongue explored the cavity of the others mouth as he slid a hand down the brunettes back to gently cup the others ass. The other man was shorter than Chris had originally thought, nearly a head less than Chris.
Breaking away slightly, Chris moved to suck at the other mans earlobe, earning him a low gasp of pleasure sounding breathlessly in his ear. Sometime during the searing kiss, the other mans arms had encircled him, one hand buried in his hair and the other resting lightly on his back. Chris gently nibbled on the other mans ear using light pressure from his teeth. He flexed his hand on the other mans ass, causing another of the tantalizing soft moans that drove him wild. Slowly trailing his mouth down the other mans neck, he spoke between kisses.
Names Christian, though Id prefer if you called me Chris.
Mikael. Miki. The names came out as a breathless gasp, the other man practically writhing in his arms.
Want to go someplace more private?
Definitely.
Good. Chris drew the brunette in for another kiss, hands wandering over the willing flesh before him. More soft moans met greedy ears as Chris licked his way down the pale neck that was exposed to him. Teeth nipping gently, he leaned in to whisper seductively in the other mans ear. Cars parked outside. I live ten minutes away. Taking the smaller hand gently in his own, he led the other man out the door.
Miki woke slowly, leisurely drifting into consciousness from the euphoric sleep that had claimed him. He was immediately aware of the arms that encircled him, large hands resting on shoulder and thigh, his own head resting on a broad, muscular chest. He smiled to himself as he remembered the events of the previous night. He felt safe and secure in the arms of the stranger, a glowing warmth encompassing his entire body like he had never experienced before. He felt sated in a way he had never experienced before, filled where he never knew he was empty. He wished that time would stop, that he could stay like this forever.
Miki couldnt explain why hed acted as he had last night. Something about the music, about the man before him, drove away his inhibitions, made him throw out his inhibitions and step out of the shell of normality that surrounded him. He knew it should bother him that he knew nothing about the man next to him besides his name. Hed never seen the other man before the previous evening, but that didnt matter to him. Being here, being with Chris, just felt so incredibly right. He was giddy, he knew, near drunk on the emotions that surfaced and captivated his heart. He didnt have a name for it, this pleasant rush, though he suspected what it might be.
Darker thoughts came to mind, asking how he could be so certain of his feelings for the man beside him. Worries nagged at the back of his mind, suggesting that perhaps what he felt would not be returned. Fear gripped his heart as he wondered if he was to be sundered from such joy after just finding it, wondered if this would all be over once Christian woke up. Determination settled over him, masking the fear and channeling it to a more useful purpose. He decided that, if it was to end, he might as well enjoy the little time that remained to him. Thoughts settled, Miki tried to slip back into the darkness he had risen from and enjoy the warmth of another body pressed close to his.
Are you awake?
The voice spoke soft enough so as not to disturb him if he had been asleep, whispering gently against Mikis gray-brown hair. Miki silently noted that the singers voice retained its musical quality even now, still captivating him with every syllable. He hesitated a moment, tempted to feign sleep and enjoy a few more moments in the others arms. Instead, he opened his eyes and nodded slowly, staring into the others slightly-muscular chest to avoid meeting the others eyes. Miki was never one to run from his fears, despite knowing what he would lose.
Im awake. His voice came out a little hoarse and breathy from his slowly fading slumber. He couldnt help the slight tinge of regret that lined his words, loathe as he was to speak them.
The hand on his shoulder moved, slowly tracing a path down his spine before changing directions to return to its previous spot. Mikis eyes closed in pleasure as he relaxed his body against Chris, surrendering completely to the others embrace. The tenderness in the action comforted him, waylaying his dread with the heat of the moment. Warm lips brushed his forehead in a gentle kiss before parting to speak again.
Will you go out with me?
Miki nearly jumped out of his skin, leaning back into the others embrace to gaze into serious green eyes questioningly. Doesnt that normally come before you sleep with someone?
Chris merely shrugged, his eyes reflecting amusement and something else in their murky green depths. It doesnt have to. His arms tightened slightly around Miki, drawing him back into their protective embrace. I want to get to know you better. I want to go beyond sex. That is, of course, if youll have me.
Miki stared at the other. Part of him couldnt believe his good fortune, wondered why a gorgeous and handsome man such as Chris would choose him from a crowd of people to be his lover. Why? At least, why me?
Green eyes met blue-gray, dazzling in their sparkling depths and baring everything before the other. Everything he wanted to know could be read in shimmering emerald pools. Because I think Im in love with you.
Mikis voice left him along with all rational thought. He could only stare stupidly at the other man as the full impact of the words sank in. He couldnt help the blinding smile that crept on to his face, reflecting the overwhelming joy that filled his heart because of eight simple words that banished all his fears. Moving closer, he planted a light kiss on the others lips. A questing tongue met joined lips, and Miki opened his mouth as Chris deepened the kiss. Breaking away slowly, Miki curled against the older mans chest.
I think Im in love with you too.
He could feel Christian smile into his hair, hear the other mans heart beating from where his ear was pressed against Chris chest. He felt like he had finally found what hed been missing all along, the lost piece to the puzzle that was his life. Strong arms gently rolled him onto his back as a gentle mouth began to nibble on his neck, distracting him from his inner contemplation. His own hands tangled in blonde hair as two bodies prepared to join once again and all words were forgotten.
