| Darkness never scared me. Never. It is not the absence of light that freaks me outit is all thats out there that I cannot see. You never can tell what that thing brushing up against your leg in a back alley is. Gross to think about too. I try not to and suggest you do the same. I tend to spend a lot of time in alleys. Sure they smell of garbage and worse things but they also feel like home to me. My friend Addy says that I was born in an alley and never got over it, she might be right. I didnt get to know my parents, which Addy says is a blessing, but I think they might have been drug addicts with the way my personality is. I have been addicted to: (in chronological order) Barbies (dont mock me I was 5), video games, poker, illegal substances (leaving it at that), and Addy. Dont tell Addy I think of her as an addiction though because then she will either send me back to rehab or make a t-shirt proclaiming it. Addy came up to me today and suggested the strangest thing. She said that I would look great in a frilly pink dress. Isnt that silly. Dresses are evil and cause nothing but trouble for the untrained who dare to try to tame themnot to mention that trying a flying kick in one can only end in the world seeing your nether regions. I am not that into flashing, unlike some people, Addy. Time comes when you just need to try a new obsession and today was my day. A boy I kind of know, Derek, was moving away to Nome and gave me a stack of his comic book collection. I didnt touch them for a few weeks and then one day it was just rainy and miserable outside and I was bored out of my skull so I picked one up. They are the coolest things ever. I mean action and art whats not to love. So now I am obsessed with comic books and not just reading them I am trying my hand at writing one. Thanks Derek. People are strange. I was hanging out with some friends between movies at the theater just talking and drinking soda and the manager sent some goons to watch us and since the goons were watching other people started to gawk at us too. Come on we were just being boring but they were looking at us like we all had three heads or something. Anyway ten minutes after the goons started keeping an eye on us Addys boyfriend of the moment, Karl, has had enough and goes to talk to them. He tears them a new one saying how we were paying customers and should be treated with respect. Of course then the movie was about to start so he had a good exit. It was a nice thing for him to do. Power to the outcasts. |
