| Team Leaders: I have broken the girls up into 2 teams, and assigned the teams 3 requirements each. It is then up to the girls to assign each girl a requirement to complete before the next meeting. The teams must then bring their completed work to the next troop meeting, and present it to the entire troop. This way all the girls will get credit, and the girls won't feel overwhelmed to complete 6 requirements alone. Also, for the teams that bring all 3 of their requirements to the meeting, will receive $10. in scouting bucks for each girl! Cookie Tally I just want to say, thank you to all the parents for allowing their child to sell g.s.cookies, and to the girls, who worked so hard to make this years cookie sales a success. The numbers are in, and the official count of cookies sold is... 2116 boxes of cookies, and earned yourselves a whopping $1269.60! Might I add, that you sold 200 boxes more than last year, and you also raised 100 boxes to be donated to the North Bay Children's Cancer Ward in Fairfield. I know those kids are going to enjoy our generous donation, and enjoy the cookies even more! Congratulations Troop 383!! Prizes! Parents, we are in desperate need of prizes asap! Our prize box is extremely depleted. Without prizes, the girls will not be able to spend their scouting bucks, and those will eventually, become worthless to the girls, and non-effective for me. Scouting bucks, are a motivational tool, to help me keep the girls involved in the current activity, or task. The girls then use the bucks to make purchases from the prize box, that I bring in at the end of each month. All we need is 4-5 prizes per girl to place into the prize box, by 8/20/05. Nothing expensive, you can go to Big Lots, or the 99cent Store. You can also credit this as your monthly dues, by turning in your receipt. Remember that the prizes should be something that your daughter, or another girl would like for themselves. |
