CAMPAIGN "THE GOSPEL AT HOME"
Bezerra de Menezes Spiritist Society encourages and offers guidelines to establish and maintain the
practice of "the Gospel at home", with a view to attain the spiritual harmonization of homes and families. The practice consists basically in meeting the entire family once a week, always on the same day and time, in order to pray and study the Gospel. After an initial prayer, a member of the family reads an excerpt of the Gospel, followed by comments by all participants. Then the family prays together for people in need and for its home. The meeting ends with a final prayer, and the commitment to repeat the practice the following week.
A Permanent Member of the Society, by request of families in need, visits them to help in the establishment of this practice.
CAMPAIGN "GET TO KNOW SPIRITISM"
The Society has distributed the brochure "Get to know Spiritism" in several public places in the Washington, DC area.
CAMPAIGN "THE LIGHT OF THE SPIRITIST BOOK"
The aim of this campaign is to collect spiritist books for the Society�s library. The books are lent free of charge to interested people.
CAMPAIGN FOR THE HOMELESS
The Society collects non-perishable food and distribute it to homeless people in the
Washington, DC area.
