Beware: Long story
My sister was searching the web one day when she came across Gruntland.com. So my sister sits me down in front of the computer and says, "Look." I see "30 Odd Foot Of Grunts Official Site". And I was like "Huh?" So I clicked on it. I saw the site and got excited. "That is so cool!" I said. But I wanted to hear what they sounded like before I became too excited. So I went to the JC Penny web site and typed in TOFOG's Cd "Bastard Life Or Clarity" I came up with the page. So I unknowingly clicked on the song, Somebody Elses Princess. Oh my gawd! I loved that song! so I went through and tried to listen to every single one. The bad news was that there was only 50 seconds for each song. Well from that day, I had to get the Cd. I searched and searched, but, alas, there was no CD to be found. So I gave up my search for a bit, and got to know all of the wonderful people at Gruntland. After I got to know them for about 4 months, I decided to do the smart thing and order the CD through my local Cd store. After about 2 months of hell fighting with the store( they "Lost" my Cd) It finally came in. My dad bought it for me(Thanks daddy), and from that day on, I have been working on the most consecutive listenings of the TOFOG Cd. I'd better let Guiness know! Okay, about 7 weeks ago, I post on the Gruntland Discussion Board that I'm trying to start a fan club in Hawaii. No responses. I guess no one who likes the grunts live in Hawaii. Ray Di Pietro e-mails me for my address and knowing that he's a really cool guy *Wink* I gave it to him. 2 weeks later, about a day after I got home from my surgery, I recieved this huge package. I open it up and started to bawl my eyes out. Ray had sent me the official jersey for the grunts. Along with that I got about 200 post cards or so, 12 posters of the band and the BLOC CD. These were the beginnings of starting a fan club. So thats how I started it. I warned you it was going to be long! |
