When I was just a little girl
I had a kitty and a doll.
My dolly was my bestest friend,
my kitty made the doggies growl.
My dolly and the queen had tea,
I served it in white flowered cups.
It was such fun to play pretend,
but kitty still would tease the pups.
We all went sailing on a pond,
my kitty, dolly and the queen.
It was so lovely just to spend
an afternoon so fresh and clean.
But kitty hadn't found our joy,
instead he seemed so sad and lone.
His mewing just would never end,
the pup he teased had found a bone
I giggled just a teeny bit,
my dolly and the queen did too.
My kitty's heart just wouldn't mend,
he didn�t share our point of view.
�How could my puppy leave me dry?�
he mewed to me that sunny day.
"It wasn't fair for him to spend
his yipping on last night's fillet!"
I tittered with my mommy's smile,
and scolded him in kitty talk.
"You mustn�t cry it�s not the end,
just wait for doggy�s daily walk!"
So me and dolly and the queen,
served tea and cookies, choco chip.
While kitty waited to ascend,
on doggy on his doody trip!
