L'art de Grubby: La Quiz
Correct! I think that was too easy!
The Scream has become one of the most potent pieces of art symbolising agony both physical and mental.

A lone  figure stands on a bridge his head in his hands, his eyes and mouth open wide in a scream of anguish.  Behind him a couple are walking together in the opposite direction, possibly retreating from the poor soul.

The dramatic use of perspective, the bright, clashing colours and the tormented figure personify loneliness and anxiety.

Munch described the event which took place on a trip to Ekebergsasen in his diaries: "I stood there trembling with fright and I felt a loud, unending scream piercing nature."
