| My house gets hit by a crane truck!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||
| It's about 7:30 in the morning on October 9, 2004, I am lying in bed about to get up for the day knowing that a bucket truck will be there to trim the large tree out front of my house. All of the sudden you hear a loud crash. It sounds like a huge tree has fallen. Then your house shakes (alot). You hear a voice yell "oh Sh!t". As I start to get up wondering what has happen to my house. My fire pager goes off "Waterville rescue respond to a 10-55 infornt of 40 silver st, crane truck vs pole wires down and people traped in a car." The oh crap meter just hit the red line. I scramble to get outside to see what has happend......... |

| Now what had happens is the crane truck went to pull into the parking lot and caught the telephone line. The rest was history. He managed to snap 2 poles in 3 places each. The large phone cable that connects over 3000 people was cut in two. I had just spent $2000 the day before to have my electrical brought up to code and that included new lines to the pole and new boxes which were ripped out. I did not have phone service for 5 days. Power was restored a little after 4 pm. The road was closed all day and with the wires down it traped my tenants in the house for over an hour. FYI no one was hurt during the stiuation. | |||||||||||||||||||||
