Family Connection: Connected to Orville Godwin, mar. Nova Lee Peters, from Oregon Co., MO. Orville was the son of Alvin T. Godwin (Fulton Co., AR) and Lou Ella Davis-Godwin (Lived in Shawnee, OK in 1920 with son Orville and daughter Lorine)

Another possibility is that this family "took in" or fostered my great-grandmother, Nova Lee Peters. She was born in 1908 in West Plains, MO. She later married Orville Godwin. These Ottens probably could not have children of their own.

Grandma and Daddy Otten
We found these pictures in our pile of family pictures. We have several pictures of "Grandma Otten". The one pictured here was taken with her husband. Not sure where this picture was taken.
Other pictures were taken in West Plains, MO, when Grandma Otten came up for Dorothy Mae Godwin's marriage to Milton E. McMurtry. Other pictures say the Ottens lived on Laverne Street.
