| Prediction for the Future the Armenian massacre was the greatest crime of the war, and the failure to act against Turkey is to condone itthe failure to deal radically with the Turkish horror means that all talk of guaranteeing the future peace of the world is mischievous nonsense. Theodore Roosevelt May 11, 1918, letter to Cleaveland Hoadlet Dodge (www.hr-action.org/armenia/ ). I think that President Roosevelts quote concerning the Armenian genocide from 1915- 1916 represents what the future of genocide for this world will be. Without dealing with the problem as an international problem and having the people of the world deal with the problem, it will never be able to be conquered. Genocide, although the U.N. considers it an international crime, is not considered by all countries of the world as an international crime and obviously is not being taken care of. The future of genocide is determined only by the way it is dealt with. If it is viewed and considered a horrible crime that is degrading towards the human race, then the actions that are taken towards it will be appropriate to those of an action of such hatred.. If it is viewed as a crime only by some countries and others consider it the way of life, then the intolerance will continue to thrive and genocide will forever be a problem. Overall, until the human race as a whole can determine that the actions of genocide are wrong, and until the unified decision is made, then feelings of nationalism, intolerance and imperialistic ideas will continue to lead to genocide.
