| History Journal 5-15-01 Please explain the conditions in Europe after WWII. The empires in Europe collapsed and the Cold War divided the world between two global alliances. Closer economic ties, social contracts, and bonds of communications and culture drew the globe more closely together. The globe was basically in a period of interdependence. There were great liberations and creation of countries was great in number. The cities were destroyed. There was an inability to produce food and other amenities necessary to survive. Economies were destroyed and had to rebuild. |
